"What!?" He was surprised by the significant difference in numbers; his current level was only 4, with a single unique ability at his disposal.
Thanks to the system for answering his curiosity. A daily mission had opened, and a system hologram appeared before him.
[Daily Quest Revealed!]

The hologram map reappeared, just like that day, a red dot indicating the quest location and its starting point. Vale, energized, placed the book in the drawer and closed it.
He went back into the room to retrieve the robe he had just bought that morning. A robe with blue lining and a black exterior; he didn't forget to cover his head.
His breathing grew heavier, as if this quest held the key to the book. The door closed behind him as he stepped out of the apartment towards the indicated location.
But Vale didn't know he was being watched by a shadowy figure. He looked around, making sure no strangers were following him, walking like an ordinary person to avoid suspicion.
He caught a glimpse of a rapidly moving shadow following him. Reflexively, he turned, but only saw the Monity residents going about their daily activities.
Vale walked facing the road, but his eyes were fixed on his right. He felt someone was following him.
A knife materialized from his system inventory, appearing in his right hand, hidden beneath his robe. His gaze fell upon a food stall; he approached cautiously, his grip tightening on the knife.
He moved aside an object obstructing the stall. He stared, seeing the person inside looking at him with a strange expression.
The food stall owner greeted Vale with a friendly smile, and the others present showed happy expressions at his arrival.
It could be called the fiftieth daily customer. Every time—or rather, for the fiftieth customer—the food stall owner would treat everyone to free food and let them take whatever they wanted.
The people there cheered at Vale's arrival. He could only watch, newly aware of this strange daily ritual of the food stall owner.
But Vale still felt someone watching him. He glanced at every corner but found nothing.
He refused the offer. Zen, the stall owner, tried to call him back, but Vale ignored him and left the stall.
Feeling followed, he quickened his pace, thinking of hiding in the narrow alley ahead. He scanned the buildings.
He felt a shadowy presence following him from each building. Finding nothing, he turned and walked through the alley. The alley was dark, but he could see two paths; he took the right one and continued down the street.
He heard footsteps approaching. Sunlight gradually illuminated his face; he stood on the main road, between the path leading to the capital. Vale opened his system to check the location of the red dot.
He dismissed the newly appeared blue hologram, glancing at something that caught his attention. He took a step back into the alley to hide.
"Isn't that…?" He was surprised to see several horses approaching on the road.
It seemed an important person or noble was passing by, but strangely, he didn't see the royal symbol on the carriage. He walked calmly to avoid suspicion.
His body was straight, his head forward. Feeling nothing unusual, he quickened his pace to reach the red dot location. The hologram map appeared before him, prompting thoughts about the red dot's true location.
He stood before a house that appeared uninhabited, located in an alley off the main road. Assessing the surroundings, Vale planned to enter.
A strange atmosphere haunted his mind. The door was unlocked, and he opened it easily.
A lantern instantly lit up after he entered, as if the house had been waiting for him.
"What's the connection between this house and the quest?" he asked, hoping the system would answer. A system notification appeared, startling him.
[Find the Lucky Necklace Relic.]
[Good luck!]
He smiled. The house was too big, and finding the necklace without knowing its location made him think the system was playing a trick on him. But it wasn't that which surprised him; today's quest felt strange.
It was a penalty. He only realized after remembering that failure in this quest carried no punishment. But Vale also felt he would benefit after finding the Lucky Necklace.
He nodded and moved quickly to find the necklace. Several hours passed; he climbed the stairs, entering several rooms upstairs, but found nothing.
His breath came in ragged gasps. He sat on the floor, his legs on the stairs, collapsing from exhaustion, wondering where the necklace was.
He had searched every room in the house: five dilapidated bedrooms, a bathroom, a dining room, even the drawers—but he hadn't found the necklace.
An idea struck him, making him stand with clenched fists, as if he had found the answer. Vale planned to check all the floors, including the gaps in the building's structure, and he considered the possibility of the necklace being on the stairs.
His eyes widened as if he'd found an answer. He started from the top floor. He entered what he believed to be a woman's room; he sensed it had been occupied by a woman.
Various well-preserved clothes and several dresses remained in the closet; there were also hair clips and other items on the table and in the drawers.
Seeing all this, he was sure this was a woman's room, around his age. He thought the necklace was in this room, but after searching and rummaging through everything, he found nothing.
He sighed slowly. He wanted to suppress his anger at finding no clues to the necklace's whereabouts. Sweat beaded on his temples; he wiped it with his right hand.
He descended the stairs and finally decided to search the floors. He tapped each floor one by one, as if checking the sound, starting from the right side and ending at the left.
Just as he was about to tap the floor under the stairs, his foot was obstructed by something. His body fell; his leg hurt as if he had tripped over something. Vale wanted to check what had stopped him.
The knife appeared in his right hand; he seemed to have touched something. It undulated, like touching jelly. Suddenly, Vale's body was pulled and dragged.
He lost consciousness for a few seconds; his eyes slowly opened. He found himself in a room, and in front of him stood a massive golden door.
A system notification appeared.
[You must defeat the boss to receive the Lucky Necklace!]
[Bonus rewards will be given after defeating it.]
[Good luck!]
