He flew through the air before he flared his cape and floated to the ground. Throwing up a bit of the sand when he landed. He then turned in Rico's direction as Rico climbed out of the hole that was in the stands. Batman was in the middle of the arena now. The stands had already been completely abandoned and Rico could hear gunfire in the distance.
But Batman had a bigger problem at the moment. One of which was that he was focusing on Rico as he walked down the stands. He planned to jump into the arena to continue the fight. The other area was a bit too contained for his liking. But an open arena would be much easier for him to fight in.
"Rawwrr!" Batman spun around as he heard a loud roar. He could now see the massive Venom Enhanced bear that Rico had first encountered when he got here. It had been chewing on a few bodies. Probably the gladiators it had just finished killing. But now that Batman was here it bounded forward.
Batman launched up into the air as the bear reached him. Launching himself over the bear. He floated for a moment before dropping onto the bear's back. He then began punching the bear. A set of electric gauntlets began hitting the bears back and he could see the electricity sparking off of the gloves as he hit the bear.
The Venom Bear roared in anger and frustration as another human had landed on its back. But this one was not even a predatory creature. The Venom Bear could tell that Batman was just a weak person. So it did not fold when attacked like that.
Instead it pulled itself onto its hind legs and then fell backwards onto its back. But the moment it slammed into the sand, Batman had already rolled away. But it took the Venom Bear a moment to notice and it turned in the direction of the smell.
It saw the smaller human placing something on the ground. The Venom Bear roared again and ran right at him. Batman launched himself upward again, but this time the Venom Bear jumped up with him. Using its clawed paws to try to grab at Batman. Its result was less than adequate as the bear fell short and then began falling back to the ground.
Boom!
There was a small explosion in the arena and the ground caved in. So the Venom Bear fell further than it thought it would. Then its roars went silent as the arena partially collapsed on that side.
Batman landed back down in the arena while Rico finally jumped over the railing and landed in the arena. "Well that was a bit overkill." Rico pointed out as he rolled up his sleeves. "What are you going to do to me? Drop the ceiling on me?" Rico asked sarcastically as he moved toward Batman.
"Why did you set those fires?" Batman demanded as he tried his best to look intimidating. But it just was not working on him. Rico could see right through the charade.
Rico tilted his head innocently, "fires? What fires?"
Batman darted forward reaching forward with one of his gloved arms. Ready to electrocute him into submission no doubt. But Rico side stepped and used a technique to shoulder throw him toward the arena wall.
He used his cape to slow himself down and then slid across the sandy arena ground for the last few feet. Batman then looked down at his hand and noticed the power source for the electricity gauntlet had been torn out completely.
He looked back up and saw Rico tossing aside the power source and smirking. "Sorry, but that was actually a bit annoying." He then took up a fighting stance again. "So then… are you going to come at me or am I going to be left waiting all day?" Rico asked sarcastically, trying to see if he could rile up Batman. But doubtful that it would work since… he is the Batman.
Batman threw a pair of batarangs and Rico caught them and tossed them away. He then closed the distance between them with a single step that launched him forward. Batman rolled to the side and out of the way while throwing another set of batarangs. Both of which he moved out of the way of.
Then he tried to kick Rico in the head while flaring his cape to hide his action. But Rico grabbed his leg and slammed the vigilante into the ground. There was a shaking in the ground as a spiderweb of cracks moved outward from the impact point.
Rico could hear Batman grunt in pain before Rico twisted his body and there was a loud snap followed by Rico being kicked in the face by one of his boots. Rico stumbled to the side and got back into a fighting stance as Batman pulled himself up and then dove backwards while throwing several batarangs all around him.
Some of them missed and a few scratched through his clothes and flew past. But he caught a pair of them with blinking lights on them and tossed them to the side. "Come on, I have seen that trick before." Rico chuckled as cracked his knuckles. Ready to continue this fight.
But when Rico saw Batman's face he could see the man smiling as he pointed upward. Rico blinked in surprise and looked up to see a pair of blinking lights on a large blunted stalactite that was on the ceiling.
Boom!
They exploded and Rico went to jump out of the way since it would be landing directly on him. But as he tired he noticed a growing foam on his feet that was restricting his movement. He got played. "Ha… nice one." Were the last things out of Rico's mouth before the giant rock landed on him. The impact hurt but it did not kill him. With his body it only knocked him out cold.

"That's him?" Gordon asked as he ran into the arena glancing at the hand that was under the rock. "Did you kill him?"
"No, he can take a hit. He is only knocked out. But you are going to want to get him in chains and with a Meta collar." Batman informed him while limping away.
"Are you okay?" Gordon asked as the caped crusader limped away.
"He broke my leg." Batman answered with an annoyed grunt as he walked away. Which hit differently when compared to his usual disappearing act.
