Chapter 118 - Chapter 118

As soon as they stopped at their next destination. It was a common clothing shop and the women stepped out of the car and then walked toward the store. Queen Mera was already changed into some jeans and an overcoat. Blending in better than before.

Cheshire looked around and then looked at him as he walked over to the rear wheel well. "I will keep watch out here. Stay with them." Rico told her and got a nod in response.

Rico stopped by the rear wheel well and crouched down. He saw the small device that looked thin and was almost indetectable. He pulled it off the car and looked it over. "Edgelady, I found a tracker on the car. Planted by one of those paparazzi at the dock. It is a black thin circle with a power source, four magnets, and a transmitter."

"Take a picture and send it to me before you destroy it." Edgelady requested.

Rico pulled out his phone and snapped a picture of the device before sending the picture to her. He then tossed the device onto the roof of a passing bus. He then leaned up against the side of the car while the driver stepped away and pulled out a pack of smokes and lit up.

"Looks like it is from a freelancing assassin. I am looking up their habits now. Identity unknown, male, preferred method is an accident controlled by a remote. I am alerting your back up and seeing what other organizations have on him." Edgelady informed him.

"Good, send me the files when you get them." Rico answered with a sigh and waited a few minutes before the women walked back out. Now both Mera and Tula were dressed in normal human clothing.

"Now that we are done with that..." Rico opened the door for them and Tula climbed in first while the driver put out his cigarette and walked to his door.

Mera stopped and looked at him. "Now I would like you to take me here." Mera handed him a note and Rico raised an eyebrow and looked at Cheshire who shrugged.

Rico closed the door once Cheshire was inside and climbed in the front seat. He then looked at the note and frowned. "We are changing our destination again." Rico announced as he showed the driver the note. He frowned and looked at Rico who shrugged. "Just go, we are operating at their whims."

"Haa…" The driver sighed as he pulled out into traffic.

"Your wife has changed her destination twice now." Bruce pointed out after checking his phone. Robin was tailing them just in case. Metropolis was not as safe, especially since Clark's disappearance.

"It is fine. She is likely up to something." King Arthur answered. He had become more brutish and less trusting after these last few years. His brother Orem betraying him really sent him spiraling. It was difficult to agree to this meeting. "I know you wanted to request my help but I can not help you."

Bruce narrowed his eyes and grunted. "So you are aware that something is happening."

King Arthur nodded his head. "I am indeed. But I will not disclose that to you. In fact, it would be to my benefit to not disclose anything to you or the others. Actually a large part of my reason for being here is to notify the United Nations that I plan to hold an open dialogue in my kingdom in a few months time."

His watch dinged again loudly and he looked down at his watch. "Deadshot, KGBeast, Black Manta, and a variety of other assassins are in Metropolis." Bruce told him. But just as he was about to send a warning to the guards there was a quiet dinging on the helicopter.

It was followed by the engines on the helicopter failing. "Well that is bad." Bruce told King Arthur who frowned and grunted.

"I assume you have a backup plan?" His words were followed by a whistling that precipitated the helicopter going from free fall to flying again.

"Of course, Wayne tech made this helicopter. It is not so easily taken down." Bruce declared. "But that is worrying for what is going to happen during your stay here."

"Should I be worried for my Queen?" King Arthur asked as an explosion rocked the helicopter. "Actually should I be worried about myself?"

"I already called in Supergirl to come help you. But I have Robin tailing your wife and the mercenaries I recommended are a headache even for the Justice League. Although the pair currently guarding her is the boss and the other one is a former assassin. The boss of that particular group is durable and would not jeopardize his profits." Bruce began explaining.

"Fine." King Arthur grunted as another explosion rocked the cabin.

—----------------------

Rico frowned as he opened the door for the others and assessed the building they were walking into. It used to be a LexCorp facility but now it was just rubble and the remains of what once used to be a building.

He saw a few signs and fences out front that marked it as a former Argus facility. Which was worrying but its decrepit stat was far more worrying.

"You two can wait here until we are done." Mera told them.

"Cheshire, move out of sight. I will stay with the Queen and her aid." Rico ordered.

Cheshire nodded her head before running to a wall and climbing up into the debris and out of sight. Rico then turned to Queen Mera and Tula.

"You are not going to just leave us alone are you?" Queen Mera asked with a sigh.

"Nope." Rico shook his head.

"Then, just do not mention anything you see to anyone." Queen Mera waved her hand as she walked deeper into the facility and Tula followed her. Rico took a moment to double check his weapons before he followed her as well. He was curious but he also had a feeling it would be in his best interest to not spread word of what was going on.
