Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: As We All Know, the Holy Master Never Keeps His Promises!

Reclining in his office chair, Lucas opened the system store, revealing a balance of 300,000 system points.

It seems like a lot, right?

But what use is it if nothing good can be bought?

"Ding! The host still has a chance to draw a lottery. Would you like to proceed now?" The system's voice suddenly chimed in.

"Lottery!" Lucas replied without hesitation. With nothing better to do, it seemed like a good way to pass the time.

Sometimes, the system's lottery yielded great rewards. His first lottery had granted him a random teleportation opportunity, allowing his escape from hell!

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for winning a new skill: Immunity Seal!" The system's voice announced.

Immunity Seal?

What's this?

Curious, Lucas reached out to grasp the glowing light in front of him.

Instantly, information flowed into his mind!

Immunity Seal: Once learned, the host becomes immune to any sealing spell!

Wow!

Lucas was momentarily stunned!

As an immortal demon, he feared little in this world. His only fear was being sealed back into hell!

And in this world, there were numerous magicians capable of such magic...

Like Papa, the Ancient One, Doctor Strange, and Doctor Fate...

Meeting any of them could result in Lucas being sealed back into hell!

But now, it seemed this was no longer a concern....

Once he mastered the Immunity Seal skill, he would be immune to any sealing!

System, you're amazing!

Without hesitation, Lucas absorbed the light into his body.

As the light infused him, Lucas felt a precise magic circle forming within him!

This circle would protect him from any sealing spells!

Now, he was truly immortal!

Fantastic!

"Ding! A new task is now available. Please proceed to the Holy Master's location to sign in! Reward: a chance to draw a lottery and 10,000 system points!"

The system suddenly issued a new task!

But upon hearing the task details, Lucas felt a twinge of reluctance.

There was a good reason: Lucas had no desire to deal with the Holy Master's kin...

Having replaced Julian, Lucas inherited all of Julian's memories.

In Julian's recollections, the Holy Master was a cunning, deceitful figure who never kept promises!

Thousands of years ago, after the Eight Immortals defeated the demons and sealed them in hell, the Holy Master proposed that the other demons send him to the human world using magic, promising to find a way to rescue his siblings.

The demons trusted the Holy Master's words and sent him to the human world!

But once there, the Holy Master forgot his promise and ruled the human world alone!

Until Lopez appeared, stripping the Holy Master of the twelve talismans and transforming him into a dragon statue.

Because of this betrayal, the demons in hell harbored deep resentment toward the Holy Master...

So after escaping hell, Lucas had ignored the Holy Master.

Though occasionally, due to a special connection, Lucas sensed the Holy Master's soul crying out in pain, he paid no heed.

Originally, Lucas thought avoiding the Holy Master would keep him out of trouble.

Yet, unexpectedly, the system issued this task...

Despite his reluctance, Lucas decided to meet the Holy Master.

Don't misunderstand; he didn't intend to reconcile with the Holy Master, but rather to gain more lottery opportunities!

After all, his previous lottery draws had yielded excellent rewards.

Who knows what he might get next?

With this thought, Lucas checked the time, stood up, and headed out.

"Where are you going?" Selina asked curiously.

"To see my troublesome brother!" Lucas replied without looking back, stepping out.

Uh...

Selina was slightly taken aback, not expecting Lucas to have a brother...

Though unaware of the Holy Master's whereabouts, this posed no issue for Lucas.

The system had already marked the coordinates when issuing the task, providing a clear route.

As the Moon Demon, Lucas possessed the ability to fly, but he chose to drive.

Why? He really didn't want to explain how a psychiatrist could fly...

After several hours, Lucas arrived in the city where the Holy Master resided!

Meanwhile, in a dim basement...

"Useless! You're all useless! You haven't found a single talisman yet! You've truly disappointed me!"

An angry voice echoed through the empty basement.

Simultaneously, the eyes of the dragon statue on the wall flared with red light.

A wave of demonic energy surged, causing the few present to tremble in fear!

This dragon statue was the Holy Master, stripped of the Twelve Talismans!

The humans before him were Valmont, Ratso, Finn, Chow, and Tohru!

They were the Mafia, the Holy Master's most loyal followers!

As to why they remained so loyal, it was because the Holy Master promised Valmont.

If Valmont helped him retrieve the twelve talismans, the Holy Master would present the legendary treasure of the Golden Rooster King to him...

Of course, everyone knew the Holy Master never kept promises!

He broke promises to his siblings; why would he keep one to humans like Valmont?

Facing the Holy Master's wrath, Valmont felt aggrieved.

In his quest to find the talismans, he'd nearly exhausted all his resources, leaving only these four from his once vast crew.

Yet, the Holy Master still blamed him, leaving Valmont deeply frustrated!

Just as Valmont was about to speak, a wave of drowsiness overwhelmed him.

In moments, Valmont slumped over, unconscious.

Before Ratso and the others could react, they too succumbed...

What's happening?

The Holy Master grew alert!

Though his soul was trapped in the dragon statue, he sensed powerful magic approaching!

"Who goes there? Show yourself!"

The Holy Master roared, his eyes blazing red.

In the next moment, a peculiar figure appeared at the basement door.

The Holy Master paused, sensing a strange familiarity with this newcomer.

What an odd sensation!

Before he could speak, the figure addressed him first.

"Hello, Holy Master!"

Lucas greeted slowly!

Hearing this familiar voice, the Holy Master's soul shuddered!

He recognized the owner of this voice!

Devil of the Moon: Curse Blue!

The most formidable of the eight great demons!

(PS: Originally, I planned to start with Marvel, but decided to begin with the DC Universe!

The worlds are interconnected! I've written several American Comics stories. This time, I aim for a slower pace with a stronger narrative. I hope you enjoy it.

If not, I'll consider a Marvel-focused story with a faster pace...
