Chapter 31 - Unexpected Arrivals

The last day of training finally arrived, and with it, a profound sense of relief. We gathered for dinner, savoring the feast Yue had promised, a well-deserved reward after a week of brutal drills. Yue himself cheered, celebrating our survival. Selyra, seeing a moment of respite from the exhaustion, immediately reverted to her seductive ways, attempting to charm me after a week without intimacy.

But before anything could truly begin, a deafening BOOM echoed through the dining hall. The very entrance door of our dorm shattered inward, blasted apart by a surge of Drakarian fire power.

Through the dust and debris, a figure emerged. A tall Drakarian lady with long, black hair and straight, imposing horns strode in. Her eyes burned with a fierce, internal fire, and she was clad in a striking, all-black Royal Guard of Drakarian uniform, complete with a luxurious fur coat and the unmistakable dragon crest emblazoned on her back.

Behind her, an Iskiran lady followed. I recognized her instantly: Professor Dianna. She wore a tight blue dress that perfectly accentuated her curves, and her white hair was tied up, a style I found incredibly appealing. Her pale blue eyes, soft skin, and a gentle smile created a stark contrast to the imposing Drakarian.

Next came a towering Aetherian man. His wings were enormous, though black, not the royal blue of the Galegaard family. He wore full battle armor and a flowing cape, so tall he had to hunch slightly to pass through the doorway. I could feel the very air around him blitzing with lightning.

Following him was a Human, his face surprisingly familiar. It was Aldo von Ferigno, our third-year senior, whom we'd met at breakfast. He and the man beside him wore the royal guard armor of King Arthur. This man had short, slicked black hair and a beard, and he carried a sheathed sword that somehow seemed to whistle with the sound of wind.

Last was a Kaynari man, exceptionally tall for his race. Beside him walked Temo, our third-year senior. They were deep in what appeared to be a heated debate, talking about some arcane topic like "bind accumulation efficiency" or something equally nonsensical to me.

The sight of these powerful, high-ranking figures, especially in such an unexpected and dramatic fashion, completely stunned the dining hall. The exhausted mood of celebration was instantly replaced by an electrified silence.
