"A duel? You want a duel?" Tyrone raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised by Bill's decision.
Bill only smirked.
"The winner takes all the loser's badges. Fair deal, isn't it? …Or are you scared?"
Even though Bill was provoking their self-respect, Tyrone just gave a small shrug and stayed silent. He tuned out their words—nonsense. He never trusted anything that came from nobles.
Hector, on the other hand, showed a bit of interest. He tilted his head toward the voice and asked:
"Fine, but how does it work? And how do I know you'll actually hand over the badges if we win?"
Clive and the others behind him chuckled at Hector's question. In their eyes, Hector didn't stand a chance—so why waste breath worrying about something so useless?
Bill grinned, flipping a coin toward Hector.
"That's the point. This artifact creates the dual ground. You'll see soon enough whether I'm lying."
