"Sir, if I were you, I'd hand over all the money on you to avoid losing your head in a moment."
With that said.
Swoosh...
The sound of three or four daggers being drawn rang out.
A group of slovenly, face-covered, burly men slowly emerged from the roadside, staring unblinkingly at Levi to prevent him from suddenly fleeing.
All had 20 health points and no armor.
This was the information he obtained immediately.
"You think you've got me cornered?"
"What else?"
Five more people emerged from behind the trees by the roadside.
Eight in total.
Hiss...
Could a single town really have this many scoundrels?
No, this group was no longer ordinary small-town thugs.
Bandits.
This title suited them better.
Time to throw some heavy punches.
"You can try."
The bandits felt their eyes blur as a long sword appeared out of thin air in Levi's hand, directly frightening several people into stepping back.
"What are you afraid of, cowards!"
The leader roared, "He's just a conjurer! It's not like we haven't killed them before!"
"Attack!"
Clang!
A crisp blocking sound rang out as the bandit leader skillfully used his dagger to block the long sword, while three subordinates immediately rushed up from his side, stabbing at various parts of his body.
If this strike hit, it would definitely be fatal.
However, the next second, a complete set of silver-white iron armor suddenly appeared on Levi's body, blocking the three stabs.
"What!" Several bandits were startled.
The conjuring of weapons was already somewhat frightening, but then you pull out a full set of iron armor when the fight starts?
Several people immediately thought of fleeing.
What was the point of fighting this?!
"What are you standing around for? Attack!"
The sub-leader behind urged them on, though he himself had already quietly retreated several steps.
Still, this shout really did get a few fearless ones to charge forward.
Swoosh...
On this side, seeing that the small broken daggers couldn't cause much damage and there was no need to be cautious everywhere, Levi directly withstood the multi-person assault and struck the leader who was trying to flee first with one sword, then stabbed into his chest with another, stepping on the leader's corpse to pull out the sword.
Then he suddenly turned and slashed once, then again, ignoring the daggers stabbing at him from various tricky angles from behind, going all-out on offense.
Like an invincible war god... no matter how you attack, whoever I target dies.
In terms of combat skills and experience, any random bandit or thug could surpass him, but even so, Levi could still dominate several people in combat.
This level of fighting didn't require technique yet... just trading blows head-on would suffice.
Even eight bandits combined were far less dangerous than a single wight.
Of course... this was under the condition that he now had armor.
Finally, after another person fell, the person beside him saw that his desperate stabs still couldn't cause any effective damage. His mentality immediately collapsed as he shouted, "This is magic! A wizard! He's an unkillable wizard! Run!"
Then he dropped his weapon, not caring about his companions, and darted into the forest like smoke.
The remaining people also suddenly awakened and immediately turned to flee. Levi quickly pursued, slashing several times and leaving behind several more bandits.
However, when he looked up again, two bandits were already just distant figures.
If he wanted to chase them, he definitely could catch up... after all, those two bandits would definitely tire out first.
But it would take too much time and wasn't worth it.
The battle came to an end.
After looting the corpses, digging a pit on the spot to bury them, and smelting the captured weapons back into raw materials, Levi continued on his journey.
Perhaps the bloody smell was too strong, or perhaps this stretch of road was indeed desolate enough... for the next several days, he didn't see any human figures, nor did he see any trace of bandits or brigands.
Only the traces by the roadside told him that although this area was desolate, it wasn't exactly peaceful.
He walked unhurriedly for another three days.
By the remaining daylight of dusk, Levi gazed into the distance and saw the shadow of ruins. After getting closer, searching through the images in his mind, he finally called out a name:
Weathertop.
The images in his memory gradually matched reality, and he seemed somewhat excited. This monotonous journey had finally encountered something different. He immediately placed blocks under his feet to quickly climb to the peak, looking around with a sightseeing attitude, touching here and there.
After a moment, Levi couldn't help but sigh. Even though this place was already in ruins, one could still glimpse some of its former glory from this corner.
Walking to some corners that hadn't been completely destroyed, he even took out torches, carefully illuminating with firelight and turning over those broken stone bricks.
Just as he was watching with great interest, Levi accidentally tripped, only then realizing that the sky had long since turned completely black.
Not good!
He hurriedly put away the torch, and the surroundings immediately darkened.
On the high peak of the vast black wilderness, the flickering firelight at the summit suddenly disappeared.
Levi broke out in a cold sweat, feeling somewhat nervous.
He had lived peaceful days for too long and lacked common sense to make such a mistake.
Fortunately, night hadn't come for too long... just this brief moment shouldn't attract any unclean things... right?
Whoosh...
A gust of wind suddenly swept past his cheek. He instinctively turned his head and discovered something had fallen behind the broken wall.
With an arrow stuck in its head.
That rough, fierce face... what else could it be but an orc?
Cold sweat immediately poured out. Even wearing armor, Levi still felt lingering fear.
If that arrow had been aimed at him, wouldn't he have been headshot?
That would have cost several hit points.
Fortunately, its target was that hidden orc. Speaking of which, this was his first time seeing an orc.
Without giving him much time to react, from the moment the first orc's failed ambush left it on the ground, something in the darkness began to boil. From places invisible to the naked eye, a large group of ugly-faced monsters suddenly rushed out noisily, roaring fiercely.
"Hahaha, tonight's dinner is secured!"
"Man-flesh! Fresh man-flesh!"
"Chop him up! Strip off his armor to use as a pot!"
"I want to use his skull as a wine cup!"
At this moment, even Levi was startled by this scene. A rough count showed about a dozen orcs in this wave. It didn't sound like many, but visually it was already a rushing horde, forming an encirclement.
If it were an ordinary person, they would probably already be too frightened by these fierce-looking creatures to move.
However, he had killed wights and fought bandits. He was no longer a battlefield novice with no combat experience or exposure to such scenes. After calming down slightly from the battle cries, looking carefully, these orcs averaged only sixteen or seventeen hit points, and their equipment was incomplete and patchy, looking quite impoverished.
They were clearly wandering orc rabble... the kind that ordinary people could fight two-on-one if they mustered courage.
Instantly assessing the situation, Levi showed no fear. Taking the initiative, he raised his sword and charged forward, cutting down two orcs with one strike. The orcs that smelled blood weren't pushovers either. These creatures might be cowardly, evil, and prone to infighting, but they absolutely knew how to gang up on the few and attack from behind. While he was cutting down their companions, two tried to stab him in the kidneys.
He had no intention of being distracted by defense, but the next second, two whoosh sounds of arrows cutting through air rang out, and the two orcs attempting the sneak attack immediately fell with arrows in their foreheads.
"Stinking rats, come out!" A seemingly sub-leader orc raged impotently, shouting toward the direction the arrows came from.
The next second, it was finished off by an arrow from another direction, falling with a thud.
On this side, Levi's slaughter was also nearing its end.
Just a dozen or so orcs with little health and thin skin... after finding his rhythm, he cut them all down in a few moves, barely even depleting his hunger.
Moreover, someone was secretly helping.
[Achievement Unlocked/Title Gained: Orc Slayer]
Another title acquired.
Shaking the blood off his sword and storing it in his backpack to show no ill intent, Levi looked toward the direction the arrows had come from.
