Chapter 141 - Chapter 142: I Only Killed Slaves, But Silas Is Killing Celestial Dragons!

"Silas!!!"

"You dare!?"

Both Stephens and Saint Lucas showed expressions of shock and rage.

How much time had passed since Rona triggered the riot? Though they had evacuated most Celestial Dragons, with so many in Mariejois, there were bound to be stragglers.

Silas could gamble.

Did they dare?

Actually, having served Celestial Dragons their whole lives, one as a servant and one as a Celestial Dragon himself, how could they not know what Celestial Dragons were like?

At least 99% of Celestial Dragons were useless!

In just a few hours, they could not possibly evacuate all Celestial Dragons.

Even asking Celestial Dragons to take shelter would create endless problems.

They simply did not believe they would face danger in Mariejois!

So if Silas truly broke into Mariejois's interior, they dared not fail to intercept.

Gamble on a group of slaves' importance in Silas's heart?

Or work together to deal with Harald first?

Any hesitation of even a second might let Silas kill hundreds or thousands of Celestial Dragons.

"That damn pirate!"

Following closely behind Silas, Saint Lucas was somewhat unhinged.

He had ordered Stephens to slaughter slaves, never imagining Silas would return the favor in kind.

How dare he!?

He had only killed a group of slaves, but Silas was killing Celestial Dragons!

But Silas might really dare.

Because Silas had already killed one Celestial Dragon. Could he still hope for World Government forgiveness?

So what difference would killing a few more make?

If not for Silas lacking methods to kill Holy Knights members, he would have killed them during previous battles too.

Even among Celestial Dragons, assembling Holy Knights members from a bunch of useless people was not easy.

Saint Lucas was frantic but did not notice the fierce glint flashing in Silas's eyes.

Anyone daring to threaten him would pay the price!

Silas looked ahead.

All of Mariejois was built centered on Pangaea Castle. At the very center stood Pangaea Castle, surrounded by various styled villas that were also Celestial Dragon residences.

Further out were artificial forests and canals.

Once Mariejois resembled earthly paradise, but after Rona detonated several Celestial Dragon family villa complexes, all of Mariejois fell into a sea of flames.

When Silas broke into Mariejois's villa district, large numbers of slaves, Marines, CP organization members, and Celestial Dragon guards were still fighting fires.

Right.

Even after Rona had freed many slaves, countless others still dared not disobey Celestial Dragons. Though knowing those guards drove them to the most dangerous disaster areas, knowing they might die, they would not die on the road to freedom.

As Silas had said, he had given these Celestial Dragon's slaves choices. Some chose freedom, while these chose to kneel.

Meanwhile, among the crowd, Silas could see many Celestial Dragons being protected.

"Why is it on fire?"

"I heard those slaves set the fires!"

"Was it not a Marine Admiral?"

Celestial Dragon conversations put immense pressure on Marines fighting fires.

"Did Admiral Crimson Snake really betray us?"

"Why would Admiral Crimson Snake betray us?"

"Could it be the Celestial Dragons..."

Some Marines made wild speculations, but were quickly stopped by higher-ranking officers.

"Do not talk nonsense! Even if Admiral Crimson Snake caught a Celestial Dragon's eye, that is her honor!"

For many Marines who knew what Celestial Dragons really were, protecting them was more painful than being killed. Though they would not actively attack Celestial Dragons, they would not actively protect them either.

Even during the World Council period, Marines who could stay in Mariejois were limited.

After all, no one thought Mariejois would face danger.

So Marines truly recognized and trusted by Rona had either participated in this destructive operation or been transferred elsewhere by Admiral Rona.

The Marines were indeed corrupt.

But even among corrupt Marines, many idealists had joined to protect ordinary people.

To put it bluntly, those still in Mariejois now, except for a few unlucky ones, were mostly opportunists who had actively requested this guard duty to curry favor with Celestial Dragons.

And Silas saw the Celestial Dragons protected within the crowd.

"What is that?"

One Celestial Dragon looked blankly at the sky. Stepping on air and advancing rapidly, Silas looked like a white shooting star.

"It is a shooting star!"

A snotty-nosed Celestial Dragon looked excitedly at his father.

"Father, I want that shooting star!"

Though physically an adult, this Celestial Dragon spoke like a child.

"No problem!"

As a father, the elder Celestial Dragon should have been more mature, but as if not understanding what catching shooting stars meant, he looked seriously at nearby guards.

"You, you, you all go catch that shooting star for me!"

"Huh?"

"Me?"

The named guards looked confused. One guard said with difficulty, "Lord Saint Timothy, how can humans catch shooting stars?"

But just as he finished speaking, bang!

A gunshot rang out. Holding a golden pistol, the Celestial Dragon named Saint Timothy said coldly, "Useless. Cannot even catch a shooting star. What use are you to me?"

Just as Saint Timothy finished, his son tugged his clothes.

"Father, Father, the shooting star seems to be falling!"

"Hmm?"

Saint Timothy looked up, then saw the white shooting star descending from above.

Guards around Saint Timothy finally reacted.

"No good, enemy attack!"

"Quickly protect Lord Saint Timothy!"

"There are two more 'shooting stars' behind!"

Celestial Dragon guards panicked. Those with good eyesight found the two trailing shooting stars somewhat familiar. Stephens and Saint Lucas are desperately trying to make people in Silas's path move aside.

But their voices were not faster than Silas's speed.

"Get away from there!"

"Protect your master!"

Stephens and Saint Lucas's anxious voices came, but it was too late.

The shooting star fell from the sky.

Everyone, including the surrounding guards, instantly became ice sculptures.

Then became fragments.

As the ice mist cleared, Silas's pale wolf shadow emerged, turning to face Stephens and Saint Lucas's direction.

With ice fragments at his feet, Silas remained calm.

"Your speed is somewhat slow!"
