Chapter 57 - A Farewell to Alabasta

"Mr. 2 Bon Clay? Well, let's fight together," Moonlight said, nodding and giving him a thumbs-up.

"Wooo! Moonlight of the Straw Hats! Great! Let's fight together!" Bon Clay burst into tears and then, turning to the Navy, he shouted, "Come on, you Marines! If you want to stop the Straw Hats, you'll have to get through me first!"

"Damn it, you look down on us too much," Smoker growled, his whole body wreathed in smoke as he glared at Moonlight. "I know you're powerful, but do you really think you can stop so many of our warships by yourself?"

"You underestimate us too much," Hina added, gritting her teeth. "If that's the case, then let us show you the true strength of the Navy." Moonlight was very powerful, more powerful than any pirate she had ever seen. His swordsmanship reminded her of Hawkeye. But to think that he could stop the entire Navy by himself... that was an insult. "All warships, lock onto those two and open fire with all your might!"

Hundreds of cannons on dozens of warships immediately aimed at Moonlight and Bon Clay and fired. In an instant, hundreds of cannonballs shot through the air, and the sea and sky around them were filled with a deafening roar. A terrible bombardment erupted, and the stormy waves engulfed the two of them.

"Moonlight!" Back on the Going Merry, Chopper couldn't help but worry.

"Don't worry, Chopper. That's Moonlight," Sanji said confidently, lighting a cigarette and taking a deep drag.

"For that man, this is nothing at all," Zoro added with a casual shrug. After breaking through his own bottleneck, he had a new perspective on the world, and at the same time, he had a deeper awe for Moonlight's level of skill.

"Yes, although the Navy is aggressive, that person is Moonlight, so there is nothing to worry about," Usopp agreed.

"Moonlight is our vice-captain, Chopper," Nami said with a smile. "He's amazing. You've seen it yourself." She then looked at the ship's course. "We're here. East Port. We'll wait for Vivi here."

At this time, the Kingdom of Alabasta, under the leadership of the king, had finally found peace. Early in the morning, the sun was shining, and the sky was clear. In front of the king's palace, a large and excited crowd had gathered. Vivi was about to give a speech as the savior who had quelled the war. Everyone knew that it was Princess Vivi who, through all the hardships and with the help of the Straw Hat crew, had finally put an end to the fighting. Vivi was a hero of the country.

Koza, Lassa, Toto, and everyone who knew Vivi, as well as the king, Igaram, all the ministers, and even Pell, who had miraculously survived the explosion, were all staring at the commanding heights, waiting for the strong and beautiful figure to speak. But when she raised her head, everyone was surprised to find that it was actually Igaram, who was supposed to be dead.

"What's going on? Isn't he dead?"

"Where's Vivi?" everyone wondered.

At that moment, a clear and beautiful voice rang out from the other side of the country. It was Vivi, and that place was the East Port of Alabasta. "I once took part in a short adventure," her voice suddenly rang out, crossing the East Port, crossing the ocean, and echoing throughout Alabasta. "It was a journey through a dark ocean, a journey in search of hope in the midst of despair."

"Vivi!" Luffy and the others immediately saw the blue-haired, beautiful woman standing in the East Port. And next to her, Karoo was flapping his wings, though he had none.

"So you're here," Moonlight said with a slight smile, his sword a blur of motion as he shattered the incoming cannonballs. The sea was roaring, the waves were raging, but he was completely unfazed.

"I didn't know the size of the ocean until I left the country," Vivi's voice, ethereal and beautiful, continued, and the vastness of the sea couldn't help but appear in people's minds. "There are many incredible but very vibrant islands, where there are creatures that have never been seen before, unexpected scenery, and the music played by the waves is sometimes quiet, as if to contain the slightest troubles, gently passing by; sometimes it will be fierce as if to tear the fragile thoughts to laugh..."

In front of the king's palace, everyone was silent, listening to this voice quietly.

"That silly girl," Nami and the others couldn't help but chuckle.

"Haha," the Navy shells flew, roaring loudly, but they couldn't hide the sound.

"Everyone," Vivi's voice continued, "I'm here to say goodbye. I can't go with you. Thank you so much for taking care of me. Although I still want to continue to take risks, I still love this country the most, so I can't go. Now, I... with this X as a mark... I... I... although I want to stay here... if I meet you again one day, can you call me your 'companion' again?" After she finished speaking, she couldn't help but burst into tears.

"Vivi!"

"Your Highness!"

"Princess!" In front of the king's palace, everyone couldn't help but burst into tears. This was their princess, the future queen.

"Thank you, Straw Hat crew," the king, Pell, and Igaram smiled at each other, thanking them silently in their hearts. If it weren't for the Straw Hat crew, the current Vivi would still be the small but strong girl hiding in the corner and crying silently.

On the East Port, on the Going Merry, everyone was silent. No one spoke, but everyone raised their arms. Under the sun, the "X" symbol on their arms was so dazzling.

Vivi suddenly burst into tears. Hot tears flowed from her eyes as Karoo opened its mouth wide and let out a silent cry.

"Navy, this is the end," Moonlight said, raising his own arm, the "X" symbol very conspicuous. "Let me use this blow to draw a satisfactory conclusion to all of this." Then, under the shocking gaze of all the Marines, including Smoker and Hina, and Mr. 2, Moonlight suddenly brandished the Pheasant Sword. His Armament Haki flared, and he leaped into the air.

"He's flying!" everyone exclaimed. And then they saw that in the sky, twenty-four Pheasant Swords suddenly appeared. Twelve of them dropped into the sea, and twelve hovered in the sky, forming a hundred-meter-wide sword field.

"Extreme Ghost Swordsmanship... Storm Style!" Moonlight's cold voice sounded like a sword in the sky. An infinite amount of sword energy raged crazily in the hundred-meter-wide world, and Moonlight's figure flashed, slashing fiercely at a lightning-fast speed. After the last blow smashed the sea, within a hundred meters, all the naval ships were chopped into pieces, and all the Marines were thrown into the water. Then, under the stunned gaze of Smoker and Hina, Moonlight, in a storm of Raptor's Air Rend, left.

"Damn it," Smoker and Hina watched him go, but they were helpless. It wasn't that they were too weak, but that Moonlight was too strong. A pirate of this level was no longer someone they could deal with. "With our ship and our men, it's obviously too much to deal with this man," Smoker said, his eyes firm. "But I will not give up. Next time, I will bring more men and become stronger to arrest you." Then they looked at Mr. 2 Bon Clay. They were indeed unable to take on Moonlight, but this person was a different story. Feeling their gazes, Bon Clay couldn't help but shudder. He had forgotten one thing: to ask Moonlight to take him with him. At this time, facing the angry two and the surrounding Navy, he was like a trembling lamb that had accidentally fallen into a pack of wolves.

"Moonlight!" At this time, on the Going Merry, looking at Moonlight leaping from the sea, Luffy and the others gave him a thumbs-up.

"Let's go," Moonlight said with a soft smile. "Things here have come to an end. Let's start the next adventure." Everyone nodded, and the Going Merry set off again, heading for the next stop.

"This time was really not easy," Nami said with a long sigh of relief, seeing that the Navy did not catch up. "I didn't expect that we could defeat a strong enemy like Crocodile. He's a Warlord."

"Yes, a Warlord is indeed too powerful," Usopp nodded heavily, "but in the end, under the leadership of me, Captain Usopp, we still defeated him."

"Wow, Captain Usopp is amazing!" Chopper, believing him, said, his eyes flashing with admiration. Usopp smiled complacently.

Hmph. Hearing this, Zoro curled his lips and smiled disdainfully.

Haha. Sanji lit a cigarette, his eyes slanted.

"Sanji, I'm hungry," Luffy said, ignoring them.

"Okay, okay, I really don't know what your stomach is made of," Sanji said, and at that moment, the door to the cabin opened, and a tall, beautiful woman came into view. It was Robin. Compared to her night-elf-like outfits before, she was now much more elegant, less charming, and more mature. She smiled slightly as she looked at the crew.

"It's her!" With the exception of Moonlight and Luffy, everyone was immediately on guard. Usopp screamed and hid behind Moonlight. As a senior agent of Baroque Works, the right-hand woman of Crocodile, Robin had left a deep impression on everyone.

"Why is she here? Isn't she with Crocodile?" Nami asked, puzzled. Zoro and Sanji said nothing, but they were solemn and fully on guard. Chopper immediately transformed into his strong form, ready to fight at any time.

"Don't worry," Moonlight said, stepping forward. "She is now our eighth member, and our companion to sail together in the future."

"Hey, Moonlight, this woman is an enemy!"

"Yes, Moonlight, are you kidding? How can you pull an enemy on board?"

"She's not an ordinary woman. Just looking at her, I feel a chill in my heart," they all cried.

"Luffy!" everyone looked at him, waiting for him to explain.

"Moonlight is right. She is our partner," Luffy said casually.

"What do you mean, Moonlight is right? She's a super-dangerous figure wanted by the World Government since she was eight years old!" Usopp shouted, the brave and invincible Captain Usopp now trembling.

"Yes, how can such a person be our partner!" Chopper nodded, jumping up and pointing to Robin.

"Hey, what's the situation? Can someone explain?" Zoro asked, his hand on the hilt of his sword as he looked at Robin with a hostile expression. The others also looked hostile. They had heard too many rumors about Robin. Wanted by the World Government at the age of eight, with a bounty as high as 79 million, after fleeing for 20 years, she was still alive. She was a legendary ominous person who would bring disaster to people, a demon.

"I was really wanted by the World Government since I was eight years old," Robin explained, facing their suspicion and doubt. "After 20 years, I disappeared and lived in this world. It is impossible for a child to go to sea alone. To protect myself, and to achieve my goal, I have dealt with many criminal groups. But at that time, you did something like that to me, so you must be responsible. I am now homeless, so let me stay on this ship." Finally, her eyes fixed on Moonlight.

"Moonlight, what did you do to her?" Nami suddenly looked at him with a serious expression.

"Something like that?"

"Moonlight, I can't believe you're that kind of person!"

"Moonlight..." Usopp, Sanji, and Zoro immediately let their imaginations run wild, looking at him with a hostile expression. Especially Sanji, as if his wife had been taken away, looked at him with anger.

"Moonlight, what did you do to her?" Chopper asked, a curious and innocent look on his face.

"Don't get me wrong," Moonlight said, his scalp a little numb. "I just saved her and invited her on the boat. Luffy has agreed to this. She is now joining us as an archaeologist."

"An archaeologist?"

"Joining us?"

"I don't agree!" everyone shouted, looking at Robin with a guarded expression.

But ten minutes later, Chopper, Luffy, and Usopp were all won over by Robin's power. Nami was bought directly with a bag of jewels, and Zoro was dealt with with a smile. As for Sanji, he didn't need any convincing. He had been showing his hospitality from the very beginning. What kind of character was Robin? Her vision was incredibly accurate, and she had studied everyone in detail before joining. It was quickly agreed. So far, the eighth member of the Straw Hat crew, Nico Robin, was on board.
