Chapter 360 - Chapter 360: Big, Bigger, Still Big! Invincible!

Max Rockfall: A Gigantamax move evolved from Rock-type moves!

The effect of this move is simple and brutal—form an enormous rock and smash it straight onto the opponent. And this so-called "enormous"…

is truly enormous.

"Dragon Claw!"

Lance frowned deeply, yet still issued the command to Mega Garchomp. Mega Garchomp struggled to steady its body, the two blood-red scythes glowing with sharp cyan light. Like a fearless warrior, it charged straight toward the terrifying falling colossus of stone.

BOOM!

Dragon Claw collided heavily with Max Rockfall. Under the razor-sharp Dragon Claw, two deep fissures were carved into the massive rock—but that was all.

The rock was simply too heavy. Before long, Mega Garchomp could no longer hold out and was smashed down by the colossal boulder.

Max Rockfall slammed violently onto Mega Garchomp, producing a thunderous explosion.

All spectators held their breath.

"This Gigantamax stuff is kind of insane…"

"That move is way too huge, how is Garchomp even supposed to dodge that?"

"No, no, is that really the main point? The real issue is Garchomp's attacks earlier, Rhyperior didn't even seem to react!"

"For those who understand Gigantamax, let me explain—it's not that Rhyperior didn't react, it's simply that Garchomp's current damage isn't enough against Rhyperior…"

"That's right. Gigantamax significantly boosts HP. This Rhyperior already developed abnormally with its body nearly twice the size of a normal one. After Gigantamax, its HP becomes downright terrifying."

"Champion Lance is in trouble. He can only stall until Gigantamax ends."

The forum was flooded with analysis posts, all revolving around this intense battle.

From beneath the rubble, a blood-red scythe pushed the stones aside as Mega Garchomp slowly stood up.

"The injuries aren't serious."

Lance glanced at Mega Garchomp and quickly assessed its condition.

Although it had been hit by Max Rockfall, Mega Garchomp naturally resisted Rock-type moves, so the damage was manageable.

What truly mattered now was how to bring down this Rhyperior.

After Gigantamax, Rhyperior's HP was simply outrageous. Lance firmly believed that continuous attacks would eventually defeat it—but judging by the momentum of the earlier Dragon Rush, to truly injure Rhyperior severely would require at least five Dragon Rushes.

Five Dragon Rushes…

That would translate into at least ten Dragon Claws. Was that a joke? Did they really think Rhyperior would just stand there like a defenseless punching bag?

"Swords Dance!"

Lance's expression turned cold and resolute as he issued the command without hesitation.

In the end, he still had to take the initiative. Otherwise, was he supposed to just wait while Rhyperior kept throwing rocks at him?

Lance had always believed one thing—attack is the best defense.

And if the attack wasn't strong enough, then boost it!

Mega Garchomp spread its arms as a terrifying aura burst forth.

Swords Dance!

A move that sharply boosts Attack.

"Max Quake!"

Lucas glanced at Mega Garchomp, his eyes flickering slightly.

Gigantamax couldn't be maintained for long—this Mega Garchomp had to be dealt with quickly. Even if it couldn't be knocked out, it had to be heavily injured.

Gigantamax Rhyperior roared loudly as waves of earth and massive rocks surged forward toward Mega Garchomp.

"Dragon Rush!" Lance shouted sharply.

Mega Garchomp leapt forward, charging at Gigantamax Rhyperior. The ferocious dragon-shaped aura was terrifying and awe-inspiring.

"Come and take it!"

Gigantamax Rhyperior roared, swinging its gigantic claw to meet the attack. Given its massive size, a single claw of Gigantamax Rhyperior was nearly as large as Mega Garchomp itself.

But—

BOOM!

The giant claw collided violently with Mega Garchomp. After a deafening explosion, Mega Garchomp smashed through the claw and slammed straight into Rhyperior's body.

After Swords Dance, Mega Garchomp's offensive power had skyrocketed!

"Dragon Claw!"

Lance immediately ordered another attack.

Mega Garchomp's blood-red scythes glowed with cyan light as it slashed heavily into Gigantamax Rhyperior's shoulder.

Rhyperior let out a pained roar—no matter how massive its HP was, pain was still pain.

"Rhyperior!" Lucas called out.

Gigantamax Rhyperior reached out with a giant claw toward Mega Garchomp, forcing it to retreat. But in the next instant, Rhyperior's other claw slammed Mega Garchomp flying.

"Max Hailstorm!"

Lucas shouted decisively.

Rhyperior roared as icy-blue light filled the sky above. Snowflakes drifted down as massive hailstones crashed toward Mega Garchomp.

A Gigantamax Ice-type move evolved from Ice-type attacks!

"Garchomp!" Lance's pupils shrank—this was bad!

Mega Garchomp steadied itself, using its blood-red scythes to shatter the falling hail as it tried to reposition.

But at that moment, dazzling multicolored light suddenly erupted beneath its feet.

The ground split open, and a massive pillar of light shot skyward!

"Max Strike!"

A Normal-type Gigantamax move!

Mega Garchomp couldn't dodge in time and was engulfed by Max Strike.

BOOM!

Max Strike detonated violently. Lance's expression darkened—he had been too focused on Max Hailstorm and completely missed the Max Strike.

And worse still, the real attack of Max Hailstorm had arrived.

A massive sphere of ice plummeted from the sky, slamming directly onto Mega Garchomp, which had just been hit by Max Strike.

Garchomp was four times weak to Ice!

Another thunderous explosion followed as Mega Garchomp was smashed to the ground.

At the same time, the red glow around Gigantamax Rhyperior slowly faded, and the dark crimson vortex cloud above its head dissolved into particles of light.

The Gigantamax duration had ended.

Red light scattered as Rhyperior rapidly shrank back to its normal form.

Yet the moment it returned to normal, Rhyperior staggered, nearly falling before barely stabilizing itself.

"So, the damage carries over," Lucas raised an eyebrow.

Gigantamax greatly boosted Rhyperior's HP, but once it ended, its remaining stamina was still its own.

"But the other side is worse."

Lucas's gaze shifted to Mega Garchomp, which was struggling to prop itself up with its scythes.

Having taken both Max Strike and Max Hailstorm, the damage was devastating—especially Max Hailstorm, which was a brutal blow to a Pokémon four times weak to Ice.

"Rhyperior, Stone Edge!"

Even a dying beast could lash out. No matter how badly injured it was, Mega Garchomp had to be completely taken down.

Lucas gave the order without hesitation.

Rhyperior raised both arms as countless stone blades materialized and shot toward Mega Garchomp.

"Garchomp, Dragon Claw!"

Lance's expression was grim. Strictly speaking, the previous exchange had put him at a disadvantage.

And now, Mega Garchomp's condition was extremely poor.

Mega Garchomp leapt into the air to avoid the stone edge, its scythes glowing as Dragon Claw charged.

"Rock Blast!"

Light flashed from the hollow in Rhyperior's palms as rocks fired one after another.

Mega Garchomp shattered them with Dragon Claw as the distance rapidly closed.

"Dragon Rush!"

"High Horsepower!"

Timing it perfectly, Lance shouted.

Mega Garchomp surged with energy, instantly transforming into a ferocious dragon, its aura overwhelming.

Rhyperior lowered its stance as High Horsepower charged.

The next instant, Mega Garchomp slammed forward.

Dragon Rush and High Horsepower collided violently.

Shockwaves rippled outward as the ground beneath Rhyperior shattered, deep cracks spreading endlessly.

Dragon Rush was too heavy!

Rhyperior gritted its teeth, pouring in strength, yet Mega Garchomp felt like a mountain crashing down.

Rhyperior's feet sank deep into the ground.

"Dragon Claw!"

Seeing Rhyperior suppressed, Lance gave the command.

Mega Garchomp forced Rhyperior back, raising its scythes and slashing down hard.

Dragon Claw!

The blow landed solidly on the defenseless Rhyperior, eliciting a roar of pain.

Adjusting its angle, Mega Garchomp slashed again across Rhyperior's chest.

"Grab it!" Lucas's eyes sharpened.

Rhyperior endured the pain and clamped its left claw around Mega Garchomp's arm.

"Garchomp!" Lance frowned—what was this Rhyperior even trying to do?!

Its willpower and endurance were utterly absurd.

No matter what, Mega Garchomp couldn't be restrained.

Mega Garchomp raised its other scythe and slashed toward Rhyperior's arm.

"Ice Punch!"

Rhyperior growled, its right claw surging with icy energy as it struck Mega Garchomp at point-blank range.

Dragon Claw and Ice Punch hit simultaneously!

Pain flashed across Mega Garchomp's face—already in terrible condition, this Ice Punch was devastating.

"Garchomp!" Lance's face darkened.

"Iron Tail!" Lucas commanded.

Rhyperior spun heavily, its tail whistling like a meteor hammer as it smashed into Mega Garchomp before it could retreat.

Bang!

Iron Tail connected!

Mega Garchomp was sent flying, crashing to the ground.

Using its scythes to prop itself up, Mega Garchomp tried to stand again.

"Earth—"

Lucas was about to order another Earthquake when he saw that Mega Garchomp ultimately failed to rise.

Light flashed as Mega Garchomp exited its Mega Evolution and fainted on the ground.

"Garchomp has lost its ability to battle. Rhyperior wins!"

After confirming the result, the referee raised the flag.

"WOOOOOO—!"

The stadium erupted in cheers.

Amazing! This battle was far more thrilling than the previous two!

"This Rhyperior is basically made of steel—it literally outlasted Garchomp to death," Blue muttered, unable to hold back.

Take hits, counterattack. Take hits, counterattack. Over and over.

A true cycle of life and death—I'm still standing while you fall.

There was no doubt—Rhyperior won purely by relying on its absurdly powerful physique to grind Garchomp down.

And no matter how you looked at it, this Rhyperior's physical toughness was downright monstrous.

"Even though it defeated Garchomp, Rhyperior's condition is also very poor," Zinnia remarked calmly.

Blue's words were crude, but the logic was sound.

Rhyperior had sustained heavy injuries, clearly visible.

"Champion Lance still has three Pokémon left. Can you guess what his remaining main Pokémon are?"

N asked thoughtfully as he watched Lance retrieve Garchomp.

"Do we even need to guess? Two of them are definitely those two. The last one's uncertain, but it's definitely not Dragonair," Blue scoffed.

Among all top champions, Lance's lineup was the easiest to guess.

After all, Lance's Dragonite was legendary—especially after that battle against Leon.

Big, bigger, still big!

Lance had three Pokémon left, but Blue had already figured out two of them.

As for the last one, he couldn't be certain—but it definitely wasn't Dragonair. Dragonair excelled in coordinated tactics; on its own, it would struggle against someone like Lucas.

On the battlefield—

"From here on, it won't be that simple, Lucas. I want to see how you deal with this one."

Lance took out a Poké Ball, staring straight at Lucas.

To be honest, Lance didn't believe he could win today.

But it shouldn't end like this.

Even if he lost, it should be to Lucas's Legendaries!

Yet now, even without using Legendaries, Lucas had already pushed him into a disadvantage. Losing to overpowered Legendaries was one thing—but if Lucas beat him without even using them?

Lance didn't want to lose that badly.

"Oh?" Lucas raised an eyebrow.

"Is it Dragonite?"

Lance froze, completely losing the momentum to continue acting cool.

"Hmph! So what if you guessed it?" he snorted, throwing the Poké Ball.

The Poké Ball opened midair, white light flashing as an orange dragon gently flapped its small wings and landed.

Its face looked honest and simple, yet carried an indescribable malice and coldness.

It was Dragonite!

"This is the strongest Dragonite that carried me to the top! Lucas—come at me with everything you've got!"

Lance lifted his chin slightly, pride and sharp resolve shining beneath his crimson hair.

My ace Dragonite!

My Dragon legion is invincible!

Invincible!

No one can stop me and my Dragonite from showing off!
