"Yes, of course. I remember that. But none of us have fallen in love with someone else, so that's not a problem, right?" Leo said, eyeing her for any reaction that would indicate she thought otherwise.
"It's not. So stop acting like you did earlier. Rei is a woman too, as Zach had figured out," Lillian recalled the tight handshake with Rei.
"First, I met your friend, someone who looks like a man but is a woman inside. Now, a woman who's dressed as a man and even speaks like one. What if he's a man inside, too, even if he's not biologically male?" Leo pointed out.
"No, she's not. Denise had asked Rei that question, and Rei said she was not." Lillian clarified so Leo would stop being wary of Rei.
"Then, a bi, perhaps?"
"No, she's not either. Rei is a woman. She just experienced a terrible betrayal and no longer wants to have any romantic relationships, so she's dressing up as a man so men won't hit on her."
