Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: “The Magic Council”

The morning breeze carried the scent of blooming mana-flowers across the vast fields of Arcane Academy. The sun stretched lazily over the ivory towers, coating the sky with a soft hue of amber and gold. Birds flew over the main hall, chirping rhythmically as if greeting another day of magic and learning. For once… everything was peaceful.

In the teacher's lounge, Professor Kyle stretched his arms and leaned back on his chair, a gentle grin on his face.

"Finally," he said, exhaling in relief. "A morning without fire bursting out of the classrooms, or Show blowing up a training dummy."

Across from him, Professor Mira chuckled softly, her long lavender hair brushing against the table as she reached for her cup.

"Don't jinx it, Kyle. Peace doesn't last long when those first-years are around."

The sound of footsteps echoed as Principal Alden entered, carrying his own cup of black coffee. His calm yet sharp gaze scanned the room before he joined them. "You both seem too relaxed. That's a dangerous sign."

Kyle sighed dramatically. "Oh come on, Principal, even the great Alden deserves a day off."

Alden smirked faintly. "A day off? In this academy? The day that happens, I'll retire."

The three shared a laugh, enjoying their rare moment of calm. For once, it almost felt like a normal school. The loss of Professor Jespry still lingered like a shadow, but life—slowly and painfully—was moving forward.

Then suddenly—

BOOOOOOM!!!

The entire academy shook violently. The cups rattled on the table, tea spilled, and Kyle almost toppled over in shock.

"What the hell was that?!" he shouted.

Mira stood up instantly. "It's coming from the training ground!"

Alden's eyes narrowed. "I knew it was too peaceful…"

⚔️ Training Grounds – Arcane Academy

"Come on, kids!" roared Professor Eldren, his black hair waving in the wind as a burst of mana exploded beneath his feet. "Show me what you've got!!"

The first-years charged with full force.

Drake conjured sharp spears of ice, each spinning with incredible precision. Hibiki added gusts of cutting wind, increasing their speed and piercing strength. The spears soared like bullets toward Eldren—but he simply waved his arm, forming a glowing barrier that shattered the projectiles into mist.

"Too slow!" he shouted, grinning.

Then came Lyra and Lily, their magic merging beautifully. A flurry of vines entwined with glowing petals—Plant and Pearl Storm!—surged forward. The sky filled with shimmering pollen and thorny roots. Eldren slammed his fist down, releasing a wave of pure mana that obliterated the storm in an instant.

"You're getting better," he said. "But not enough to beat me!"

Next, Criss, Cyrus, and Akito attacked together. Stone projectiles, energy punches, and spell cards flew from all directions like a coordinated artillery strike. Karen and Lina stood behind them, maintaining barriers and healing circles to support the frontline.

And then, Presto leaped forward with his signature thunder magic—Thunder Crackers!—creating a chain of blinding lightning blasts across the field.

Eldren smirked and raised both hands. A massive ripple of mana erupted around him, swallowing the attacks. "Excellent teamwork! You've grown!"

But before the students could celebrate—

A pressure so immense surged through the air that everyone froze.

The earth itself trembled. A wave of mana, ancient and fiery, flooded the training ground. Eldren's expression turned serious immediately. In the teacher's hall, Alden and the others also felt it—the unmistakable aura of something far beyond ordinary magic.

Alden muttered under his breath, "It's them…"

Everyone turned toward the far corner of the ground. There, two figures stood surrounded by blinding light and roaring energy—Show and Raelyn.

Their mana clashed like fire and light colliding, swirling together into a storm that made even Eldren step back. Sparks of crimson flame and radiant gold danced around them, cracking the very air.

"W-What is this power…" murmured Hibiki, shielding his eyes.

Karen's eyes widened. "Their auras… they're unreal."

Lina whispered softly, "Ancient Magic…"

Drake was frozen in his own eyes

In his mind *" so this is real power... impossible, they are on another level than me . "

Criss and Presto shared a stunned look while Cyrus was angry looking them becoming more stronger !!

The two stood face to face, silent, eyes locked in fierce determination.

Then—

BOOM!!!

Their fists collided. The shockwave alone blew everyone backward. The ground cracked, winds howled, and mana surged outward like a storm unleashed.

Their movements are unpredictable!

They are fighting like beasts

Raelyns speed vs Show's strength. This is like a battle of ancients .

But the pressure is destructive!!

With one more hit and the academy would go BOOM !!

But before this ...

"STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!" Eldren's voice thundered across the field, shaking even Show and Raelyn. He appeared between them in an instant, his aura bursting like a golden flame that overshadowed both of theirs.

Show and Raelyn immediately froze.

Eldren's face turned dark as he reached out and—pulled both their ears violently!

"OW OW OW OW—PROFESSOR, WAIT!!!" Show screamed.

"Sir! This isn't fair! It was just a spar!!" Raelyn protested, his calm tone breaking for once.

Eldren glared at them both. "A spar? You almost blew up the entire academy!"

Karen, Lily, and the others couldn't hold their laughter. Even Alden, watching from afar, let out a small smile.

---

⚖️ Moments Later – Academy Gate

As the laughter settled, a sudden silence fell over the field.

The large gate of the academy creaked open, and a mysterious figure stepped through. He was tall, dressed in a polished black robe trimmed with gold, the symbol of a lion etched into his collar. His presence was commanding—calm, yet overwhelming.

He stopped before the group, his eyes sharp as they locked onto Show and Raelyn.

"So… these are the famous Ancient Wizards," he said smoothly.

Everyone went silent. Even Eldren's smile faded.

"How do you know about that?" Alden asked sharply.

The man smirked. "Because it's my duty to know." He removed his robe, revealing a white military-style coat with a golden crest on his shoulder. "I am Commander Loydd Morgan of the Magic Council of Arcania."

Gasps rippled through the students.

"Magic Council?!" Hibiki whispered.

Even Eldren's brows furrowed. "What business does the Council have here, Commander?"

Loydd looked at Show and Raelyn again. "You two… are now under direct order of the Council. You will leave Arcane Academy and serve under our command."

"What?" Show's voice was low, filled with disbelief—and anger.

Raelyn stepped beside him. "You can't just order us like that."

Loydd's gaze hardened. "You don't understand, boys. The awakening of Ancient Magic is a threat. The Council cannot risk such powers being left unchecked. You two will serve as weapons of protection—for the world."

Eldren clenched his fists. "Weapons? They're students!"

Loydd said " I am sorry for my sudden appearance, but it is important sir ."

Principal alden came in .He raised a hand, his calm tone masking his irritation. "Commander Loydd… before we go further, perhaps you should explain to my students what the Magic Council truly is."

---

🏛️ Explanation – The Magic Council

Loydd folded his arms, his voice echoing with authority. "The Magic Council of Arcania is the supreme governing body that oversees all magical activities within the kingdom. We regulate the use of forbidden spells, control magical research, and protect our realm from internal and external threats. The Council reports directly to the King himself."

He looked at Show again. "When powers as ancient as yours awaken, it becomes our responsibility to contain them—before they spiral out of control."

Karen was confused... Hibiki eyes dwarfed like he is in another world of thinking...

Presto trying to awake him with a shock

Raelyn asks " So what's the point of this.. you only want us for our magic !! ?"

Show's fists clenched, fire flickering faintly in his palms.

"So, what are we to you then?" he asked, voice trembling. "Weapons? Shields? Just tools for you to command?"

The air grew heavy. Everyone could feel Show's anger burning—not in rage, but in pain.

---

🔥 Show's Speech

Show took a step forward. His fiery aura shimmered faintly, but his tone was calm—honest, heartfelt.

"I've seen what happens when people treat power like a weapon," he said quietly. "It destroys everything it touches. We've lost people… good people… because they were used like tools."

His voice grew stronger. "We fight not because we're ordered to—but because we choose to. Arcane Academy isn't just a school—it's our home. These people… my friends… they're my family. We're not soldiers of power. We're wizards who protect each other!"

Karen and Lina's eyes filled with emotion.

Drake smirked with confidence

Hibiki and Presto sobbed with a warm heart hugging each other

Cyrus and Criss smirked

Akito looked up

Lily and Lyra clapped hands and hugged Lina

Even Eldren looked proud.

Show's gaze locked with Loydd's. "You want protection for Arcania? Then trust us—not as weapons—but as people. Because everyone deserves the right to live freely, to choose their path, and to protect those they care about."

The silence that followed was deafening.

Loydd studied him for a long moment. The fire in Show's eyes reflected something the commander hadn't seen in years—conviction. Slowly, his stern expression softened.

"…You've got spirit, kid," he said finally. "Maybe… I've been seeing this the wrong way."

He turned to Alden. "Principal Alden, I propose a new arrangement. The Magic Council will form an alliance with Arcane Academy. Your students will continue their studies—but also assist the Council in protecting the kingdom."

Alden smiled faintly. "A wise decision, Commander."

Show nodded, his anger fading. "We'll protect Arcania—with our own will."

---

As the sun began to set, Loydd walked toward the academy gates once more. He turned back briefly, glancing at Show and Raelyn, a small confident smile on his lips.

"You remind me of someone I used to know," he said quietly. "Don't lose that fire."

With that, he left through the gates as the wind carried away the last of the day's tension.

Arcane Academy had faced many battles before—but this marked the beginning of something far greater.

The Magic Council Alliance had been forged.

A new dawn was coming.
