Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Foxfire Seduction

Jemil woke up with a cough and a mouth full of dirt.

Again.

"Okay," he groaned, spitting out a rock, "note to self—never joke about hugging a goddess mid-summon."

His clothes were burnt halfway off, the crater he was in was still steaming, and Flare—his first bonded mythical wife—was nowhere in sight.

The system pinged.

[Flare has entered cooldown mode.]

[Estimated reappearance: when she feels like it.]

"Wonderful," Jemil muttered. "I finally bond with a divine beast and she rage-quits before breakfast."

He rolled over and stared at the sky.

It was dusk now—soft, pink clouds stretching over a forest canopy nearby. But something felt… off.

Too quiet.

Too calm.

Too—

"You summon one flaming tsundere and already look so lonely."

"Shall I keep you company… Summoner~?"

A voice.

Soft. Musical. Seductive.

And definitely not in his head.

Jemil shot upright.

From the trees stepped a figure so graceful, she might as well have floated.

She was tall, silver-haired, with glowing violet eyes and an expression that said: I already own your soul, I'm just being polite about it.

Her long kimono swayed with her steps, but it barely covered anything. The high slit showed smooth legs, the chest was open enough to qualify as criminal, and her nine silver fox tails trailed behind her, shifting and curling like they had minds of their own.

"You're… you're a fox?" Jemil stammered.

She gave him a slow smile, tilting her head.

"Nine-tailed fox, technically. But Yura is easier to moan. I mean, say."

[New Entity Detected: Yura — Nine-Tailed Fox Matriarch]

[Warning: Danger Level: High]

[Attraction Level: Lethal]

[Intelligence: Absolutely Weaponized]

[Bond Status: Pending…]

"Pending?" Jemil whispered. "Nope. Not again."

Yura raised an elegant eyebrow. "You know I can see your system, right?"

She stepped closer.

One tail slid across his arm, slow and electric.

"I saw what you did with the Phoenix Queen. Fire and passion, yes… but no control."

"You need balance, Summoner. You need… me."

He backed up a step.

Yura stepped forward.

He tripped on a rock.

She caught him mid-fall—somehow landing with him flat on his back, her straddling his waist, tails circling them in a dome of shimmering foxfire.

"W-wait—" Jemil gulped. "Shouldn't there be a ritual or bonding or—"

"Shhh." Yura traced her finger down his chest. "Bonding comes in many forms…"

The system shrieked in his mind:

[WARNING: Host vitals spiking. Blood flow redirected. Hormonal overload in progress.]

[Initiating Defense Protocol: Awkwardness Mode Enabled.]

"Uhh… d-do you like… cheese?"

Yura blinked.

Then laughed.

Softly. Seductively.

"Oh Summoner… you're adorable."

But before anything could escalate further—

BOOM.

The foxfire dome shattered.

A column of fire roared into the sky.

"GET OFF MY SUMMONER, YOU FUR-COVERED HARLOT!!"

Flare landed in full battle mode—flaming wings wide, eyes blazing, hair on fire. Literally.

Yura sighed, rolling her eyes.

"Ah. The chicken returns."

"I AM A PHOENIX!"

"Phoenix, chicken. Both go well roasted."

"I WILL END YOU."

Jemil scrambled back as fire clashed with foxfire, two mythical wives circling each other like apex predators.

"I've known them for less than a day and they're already fighting over me…"

"…do I run, or ask them to take turns?"

The system chirped in.

[New Quest: Survive Harem War: Phase 1]

[Reward: Increased loyalty, possibly a kiss. Possibly broken ribs.]

Suddenly, both women turned to him.

In unison.

"Summoner," Flare growled.

"Summoner~," Yura purred.

"Choose."

"Me."

"Or me."

Jemil paled. "C-can I choose… peace?"

Silence.

Then both girls lunged—

Straight at him.

Fifteen minutes later…

He was pinned beneath a tree, hair fried on one side, lipstick on the other.

"I swear," he gasped, "I'm not built for this level of attention…"

The system chimed:

[Bond with Yura established.]

[Affection: 30% — Mildly amused by your suffering]

[Special Trait Unlocked: Foxfire Resistance Lv.1]

[Flare's Jealousy increased.]

As Jemil dragged himself upright, both wives stood beside him, arms crossed, tails and wings flicking irritably.

"We'll allow one another," Yura said coolly.

"Temporarily," Flare growled.

Jemil blinked. "Wait… so you're both okay with this?"

They exchanged a glance.

And in perfect harmony:

"No. But we'll fight over you later."

Above them…

Clouds swirled.

Water droplets rippled in midair.

And from the deep lake below, a feminine voice sighed softly.

"Summoner… you've awakened two of us already? That's… bold."

"I'll wait. But not for long."

The Leviathan stirred.
