Jihoon slowly opened his eyes. "This is becoming a habit," he murmured, lifting his hand.
A sharp pain shot through his arm, making him wince.
"Careful," came Junghoon's voice. "You'll pull out the IV."
It was only then that the omega's eyes fell on the drip beside him. He licked his cracked lips, his throat painfully dry.
"I'm... thirsty."
Junghoon readily helped him sit up and held a glass against his mouth.
Jihoon drank greedily, a low sigh escaping him. "I didn't know water could taste this good," he murmured.
He heard the alpha snort and looked at him.
Junghoon was staring at him, an unreadable expression on his face.
The omega was confused. "What's wrong?"
"'Are you seriously asking me that?' The alpha scoffed, pacing the room. "Do you even know what you did? You tried to kill yourself, Jihoon."
Junghoon shut his eyes, like the words physically hurt him.
Jihoon's eyes followed the other's movements, his voice trembling. "I... don't know what happened."
