Chapter 90 - Hints of betrayal

Junghoon sat on the cold hospital floor, elbows on his knees and his hands tangled in his hair. "I should've come earlier," he muttered.

Why did he go on that god-damned conference meeting?

It wasn't as important as his mate.

Junghwan rested a hand on his arm. "You couldn't have known. He's strong and he'll survive this."

The alpha's chest ached. "He was lying on the floor, cold and barely breathing. And I—"

His voice cracked. He shut his eyes, running a shaking hand through his hair.

Junghwan let out a quiet sigh and slid down beside him. "I'm sure there's an explanation. Give your omega some credit, Junghoon. He'll make it through."

Junghoon didn't answer. His mind was buzzing too loudly to form words.

As if on cue, the door opened and a doctor stepped out. "Kang Jihoon's family?"

Junghoon shot to his feet. "I'm his mate. What's happening? Is he alright?"

"Is he going to be okay?" Junghwan asked.
