Chapter 99 - The life of project Z: New things

The new white clothes felt soft against Jihoon's skin, and he watched himself in the mirror, gently touching his face.

He looked so different.

Anne placed a hand on his shoulder. "Do you like it?"

The boy looked up and nodded quietly.

She led him down the white corridor, and Jihoon heard faint chatter and laughter.

So there were other children here.

"This is your room," Anne said as they stopped before a door. She pushed it open and walked in with him.

The white walls and tiles gleamed, almost reflective. The space was large but sparsely furnished with one bed in the center, a small table and chair beside it.

Jihoon looked around. "Is this my… room alone?"

Anne blinked, caught off guard. "What?"

"Do I have a roommate?"

A smile lit up on her face. "No. It's all yours."

A knock sounded on the door.

"Come in," Anne called.

A man entered with a tray of food. The aroma drifted toward Jihoon, and his stomach growled loudly.
