Chapter 112: The Emperor's Final Battle

Currently, the Emperor could cross the boundary between mortal and a godly entity if he wished. He could transform into the supreme King of Destruction. Such was the magnitude of power flowing through his being, power that whispered seductive promises of omnipotence.

The Emperor did not respond to Raven, but he had clearly heard the warning. He imposed his will to restrain the cosmic forces seeking expression. Each passing moment was difficult, like containing the fury of a dying star within mortal flesh.

He ceased the exponential growth of power. Then he stepped from the laboratory.

Staff who glimpsed him along the way instinctively kneeled. No one forced them; it was pure recognition of what stood before them. The Emperor of Humanity. The Master of Mankind.

The Emperor passed silently among those who knelt. He acknowledged their reverence with neither word nor gesture. He walked through the facility's corridors, then ascended to the surface and began his journey toward the Luluye Ruins.

The physical distance between the Cytech Group laboratory and the ruins was considerable. Yet after the Emperor took but a few steps, the ruins materialised before him.

Space folded upon itself at his will. Time became merely another dimension to traverse; the laws governing reality bent like reeds before his presence.

Valdor followed in his Master's wake, his twin hearts hammering. Power surged through his enhanced physiology, more power than any Custodian had ever been granted.

Unimaginable energies coursed through his body, turbulent and overwhelming. His combat strength rose without limit, transcending all previous boundaries.

From their first moment of creation, the Custodes possessed the sacred gift of sharing in the Emperor's might. They were extensions of his will made manifest. Golden guardians forged to channel his divine purpose.

As the Emperor's power flowed into him, Valdo's very presence underwent a transformation. Though he maintained human form, the aura radiating from him rivalled that of the gods. The oppressive weight of his existence was in no way inferior to Evil God Gatanothor himself.

The Emperor transcended space and time with each stride. He arrived at Luluye to face the destroyer directly.

Black mist shrouding Gatanothor's massive shell began melting away like snow under a scorching sun. The Luluye Ruins responded by gushing torrents of dark vapour. The darkness replenished what was consumed.

Thus, darkness and light engaged in their eternal dance. Consuming, replenishing, and maintaining a perfect balance.

The two titans confronted each other across the shattered landscape.

Gatanothor did not act impulsively. The Evil God carefully evaluated this new foe. For the first time in thirty million years, it experienced something almost forgotten: Fear. It sensed something unparalleled, an equal, or maybe even a greater threat.

Camearra and the three Dark Giants stood to the side. They looked at the Emperor with surprise and uncertainty. How could this being, clearly a human, possess such terrifying power?

At this moment, Raven flapped his wings and soared into the sky. His body rapidly expanded, transforming into a massive black bird that blot out the sky.

"Get up, sleepy heads."

Raven spread his wings, casting shadows across the battlefield. Countless rays of light swept outward. It became a gentle rain that fell upon the petrified warriors.

The luminous droplets submerged into the bodies of those who had become stone statues.

Masaki Keigo's eyes snapped open. The indicator light on his chest blazed back to life. He leapt up and landed behind the Emperor like a loyal soldier awaiting orders.

Other Ultraman also recovered from their petrification. Not only did Tiga awaken, but he transformed once more into Shining Tiga. He stood alongside Masaki Keigo in ready formation.

"Damn it!" Camearra blurted out when she saw this scene. Her composure finally cracked.

These humans were cheating! It had been so difficult to defeat those Ultraman.

And now they just brought them all back? How were they supposed to fight now?

This was completely unfair! They should be disqualified and banned from the match!

After completing his task, Raven landed on the Emperor's shoulder.

"I'm exhausted," he said casually. "Valdor, remember to double the fries and ketchup later."

Valdor looked at Raven, who clearly was not exhausted, with a stare.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Raven said, glancing at the golden Custodian with mock severity. "Don't think that just because you're all shiny now, I wouldn't dare. When the time comes, I'll have you and your golden glow guard the golden pond."

Valdo stared in mild emotion of disbelief. 'I'm strong enough to purge this Evil God Gatanothor into orbit now, and the Raven still wants me to guard a pond!

Masaki Keigo and the others could not hear the mental exchange between Raven and Valdo. They saw only the Emperor, Raven, and the golden Custodian standing in silent majesty. Sacred light enveloped them.

If they could hear Raven and Valdo's bickering, their reverent mental image would probably shatter like glass.

A high-pitched avian cry pierced the air. A massive flying monster, one of the Zoga, broke through the clouds and swooped down from the sky. It headed straight for the Emperor, launching a desperate attack.

The Emperor swept his blade in a casual arc. A stream of golden fire erupted from the weapon. It split the monster cleanly in two. Before the creature's remains could touch the ground, they were reduced to ash.

This single action served as the signal for renewed war.

More monsters broke through the cloud cover. They descended toward the Emperor and his assembled forces.

Valdo activated the power core in his chest, charging forward like a golden war god against the monster horde. The weapon in his hands shone brilliantly as he swung the blazing Guardian Spear in wide arcs, slicing through the aerial army.

Though the Zoga monsters' bodies overshadowed the Custodian, they could not withstand even a single strike from the Captain-General. As his spear swung downward, the massive monsters' bodies shattered easily. They burst into burning fragments that showered down as ash.

Masaki Keigo gestured to his allies. The Ultraman took to the skies, engaging the swarm in aerial combat.

The three Dark Giants also entered the fight, caught between their loyalty to darkness and their growing realisation that they were on the losing side.

The conflict quickly escalated into a fierce, chaotic.

Meanwhile, the Emperor faced Gatanothor directly.

The form of the Evil God was immense, a grotesque blend of ammonite and crustacean, covered by a thick spiral shell. Dark pores dotted the shell's surface, releasing a corrupting mist.

Its head hung upside down, as if constantly looking down at others with disdain. From the shell's opening, numerous tentacles and large pincers extended.

After their tense confrontation, Gatanothor finally gave in. It launched the first assault, swinging enormous tentacles like mountain ridges toward the Emperor.

A flash of golden light illuminated the scene, and the massive arm was sliced off cleanly.

Gatanothor let out a piercing cry of pain that echoed across the battlefield. It kept attacking with its remaining tentacles, aiming to crush this abomination.

At the same time, the dark pores across its shell spewed streams of corrupting mist. The black vapour surged toward the Emperor to envelope him in darkness.

Moments later, torrents of golden flame erupted outward. The fire ignited the mist and completely incinerated it.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Mountain-sized tentacles crashed down on the Emperor's position with overwhelming force, causing powerful shockwaves that cracked the stones below.

The Emperor swung his sword, cutting through the massive limbs as effortlessly as harvesting wheat with a scythe. Gatanothor cried out in pain, his face twisted, as the Evil God unleashed a dark purple beam of energy.

The beam tore through space and time, heading straight for its target. The Emperor lifted one hand, and a radiant shield of golden light materialised, blocking the attack and causing the energy to fade harmlessly.

The Emperor raised his blade high as countless streams of golden fire merged within it. The sword glowed so brightly that even Gatanothor instinctively drew back.

"This ends now." The Emperor's voice echoed throughout the world, reaching even the darkest corners.

Flames along the sword's edge intensified, as if striving to eradicate time itself. The blade swung in a flawless arc, unleashing a wave of fire more fearsome than the birth of stars.

This single strike hit Gatanothor. From its jagged, immense form, a burst of light erupted. For a brief moment, the Evil God's shell remained intact, but then cracks of pure radiance appeared across its surface.

BOOM!

An earth-shattering explosion shook the foundations of reality. Gatanothor's body detonated, transforming into countless burning fragments that scattered across the ruins.

Even the fragments were consumed by golden fire. Nothing remained but motes of light that faded into the cleansed air.

The ruler of darkness that had plagued the world for thirty million years was no more.
