chapter 002
Jome riding in back of the merchant carriage, the merchant name is Jack a man of average height and a bit overweight with a balding head of blonde hair and a mustache. While in the back of the carriage Jome sits across from a two guards that Jack has to protect his wares, both of the man had tan skin and short hair red hair, the bigger of the pair who has a short red beard and is much older then the other one notices that Jome is using magic. Jome is making a ball of water form in his hands and with that ball of water Jome makes the ball rotate in different directions.
The guard tells Jome "Hello boy my name is Robert" pointing at the other guard "This one is nick, what is the purpose of making that ball of water move around like that?"
Jome replies "oh the purpose is to train my control over the mana I am putting in this ball of water." Nick asks pointedly "How is that training?"
Jome says towards Nick "Well, it is a way for me to control how my mana flows out towards the spell and control the flow of the mana already in the spell. If one is able to control flow of mana in the spell then they would be able to control everything about the spell to it size to ever the movements of the spell. My Grandfather is able to change the direction that a spell he already shot off is going, though I can't do that yet since I can not control a spell I have shot off yet."
As the three of them continue to talk to each other, Jack the merchant speaks up and says with a whistle "We got a group of boars in front of the carriage, Robert, Nick do you want to hunt them and eat boar tonight?"
Nick quickly and with glee says "of course we do." Nick quickly grabs a bow and Jumps out of the carriage and aims at one of smaller the boars and within seconds the arrow pierces the boars eye and with a loud Yelp the now one eyed boar charges at Nick. Nick try's to aim a another arrow at the one eyed boar it gets too close and as it seems that the boar would run over Nick, with a quick movement Robert slashes the one eyes boars head off with his axe saving nick from being ran over.
Robert says at nick with a knowing tone "well seems you need to get better at aiming nick, I won't be here to always save you from every thing that you shoot with your arrows" Nick with a anger tone says back "You know my main weapon is the spear Robert." Robert while laughing says "While your still suck at the killing with the bow."
Jome walks out of the carriage and then looks at the pack of boars still slowly eating, Jome asks "Why have the boars not ran off yet?" Robert says "While they not going to ran off into that forest there" He points at the forest on the side of the road they are traveling on "since there are a a lot of monsters in the forest that are active at this time of day, so they rather have a few picked off then have the whole pack be killed."
Robert then smiles and asks "Jome why don't you hunt one of the boars I would love to see how magic would be use to hunt with." With a slight nod Jome then uses magic and controls the mana flowing out of himself, Jome then casts a spell and water forms slightly above his hand, the water is shaped in the form of an arrow, and with a flick of his finger the water arrow is shot off and pierces and passes through one of the boars and finally stops after it hits a thick tree.
Robert lets out a loud howl in enjoyment, and Nick looks on in wonder before he quickly goes to dismiss Jome's magic saying "I could do that with a normal arrow if I had a bow that has a heavier draw."
Robert thinks and then asks Jome "Both of the spells I have seen you use are both water spells, can you use different elemental spells?" Jome with a face that looks like it is thinking says "Yes I can use different elemental spells but my mana flow is not suitable for other elements."
Robert questions as he picks up both of the boars dead bodies "Not suitable for the other elementals how so?"
Jome smiles and explains with happiness "While each element has a natural flow that mana goes through it, so for example the way the mana flows through fire is different from how it would flow from water or element. People have naturals flows of their mana too my mana flows is close to how mana flows through water so I have a easier time using water magic."
Nick thinks and asks Jome, with a smirk "So you can't use other elemental magics can you?" Jome with a quick reply says "oh no I can use different elements, but to use them I have to change how my mana flows which takes effort to do for example." Jome makes a small flame appear out of his index finger "I can use fire magic and what not, it just the spell would normally be weaker compared to someone whose mana flows the same way as the element."
Robert starts to butcher one of the boars and tells Nick to do the other one, by time they get done with the boars the sun would be setting in a few hours. Jack the Merchant says there is a campsite up a head about and hour away. Once everyone is on the carriage once again they set off towards the campsite.
The reach the campsite and find a clear field that can be used and both Robert and Nick start to set up the tents, as Robert asks Jome "How about you start a fire with your magic Jome?" Jome says with a smile "Sure I can do that." Jome sets up a campfire. Once everything is set up the start to cook the boar meat on the fire.
With time they eat the meat, Robert and Nick decide who will take the first watch, by playing a game of dice, which Robert loss and Nick says with a laugh "Good luck on your watch." Nick quickly goes to his tent. Jome looks on and yawns, and Robert tells Jome "Hurry up and go to your tent Jome, you still a boy who needs his sleep." and with the Jome heads off to his tent, within the tent Jome casts a small spell that covers his tent in a barrier for safety, then Jome slowly falls asleep.
