Hagoromo was shocked, 'This saying, it is very applicable to the way Hamura and I dealt with Mother, while what we did indeed saved the world, the world was nearly destroyed in the process. That such a saying is among the youth is truly a blessing, however that 'Zetsu' not only opposes such a philosophy, but he is also paving the way for the world itself to go to hell with him. These two young boys are perfect, emotionally stable, reflective, and have a strange synergy between their SOULs. They could be perfect to be my son's guardian.'
Hagoromo after thinking over both Anthony and Asriel's answers concluded and said softly,
"Your answers are fantastic, I could not ask for better answers for your circumstances, I have an offer for you both, the offer will require both of you to agree, if one of you declines, I will give a different offer."
Anthony and Asriel listened intently.
"The first offer, of which you both must agree to take, is simple. First, I will have you both become one, in body, specifically Asriel's as only it can handle this next task due to the Monster's constitution. You will still be separate consciousnesses, but you will share a body and a fused SOUL, like you mentioned with your loved one Chara."
Asriel froze, looked at Anthony who was smiling at him, seemingly ok with this, but still wanting to know the rest of the offer. Asriel was torn, but seeing Anthony was fine with it made him feel better. Hagoromo recognized this was a large request and was glad it went over smoothly, he continued,
"The second task is to be the caretaker of my son's reincarnations, the two boys will be born around the same time, as soon as they are I will tell you their names and send you to the one needing the most urgent care. I ask you to help raise them to be strong, stable-minded, rational, and kind boys. They will have to fight a fearsome enemy who has manipulated the world in the shadows for tens of hundreds of years."
Anthony was surprised by this request, as it was perfect for him as he was a teacher in his last life. Asriel was apprehensive, he didn't know the first thing about raising kids, he was still one himself! Luckily, Anthony came to his rescue when he spoke up,
"Hagoromo sir, the task of teaching is simple for me, before my death I was a Heath Science teacher with a degree in Medicine, I taught ages 11-14. However, both Asriel and I have never cared for a child under 6. Asriel has experience of being a child but not caring for one. We will likely have to look towards your sons' new parents for assistance, I hope this is adequate."
Hagoromo chuckled a bit and replied,
"You don't have to be so uptight anymore, if you are accepting this offer, call me Grandfather instead. Your thoughts are perfectly acceptable, I don't expect you to hand feed them through life, I just want them to grow strong, intelligent, and emotionally stable. The world you are being sent down to is a world full of people called Shinobi or Ninja, there are 5 major villages and many minor ones, my sons reincarnations have followed their bloodlines quite strictly, with both being born in the same village, in the largest country on the continent, the Hidden Leaf Village, Konoha."
Anthony froze this time before asking Hagoromo,
"Grandfather Hagoromo, do the leaders of these villages happened to be called 'Kage'?"
Hagoromo lifted a brow, and replied swiftly, "Yes they are, those leaders are the strongest of their village, with high Chakra reserves and are excellent at combat, they lead their villages well... most of the time. The enemy you will need to fight isn't strong itself, but through manipulation has gathered some of the world's strongest to his side, including Indra's previous reincarnation Uchiha Madara, his name is Black Zetsu. Their goal is to capture all 9 tailed beasts, animal-like beings made of pure Chakra, they are technically my children too, so they are now your Aunts and Uncles now. The enemy wishes to resurrect the 10-tails and unseal a my mother, a who will destroy the world.
To continue with your tasks, other than teaching you must also ensure that they stay safe from harm, their loved ones as well, as my sons are usually emotionally driven, with Indra's descendants being a family who loves more than others, but when that love is taken, through death or other means, becomes a greater hatred. This simultaneously granting them strength but also instability. If you can prevent such a curse, do it, otherwise you must council them well. I will be granting your united body my power, it will likely take about 12 years to recover before I can speak or appear before you again, you will have Chakra on par with the Hokage, which you can use how you please, however, please be sure to practice your control before you get into an engagement.
I will not be modifying your shared constitution beyond adding your Chakra network or small cosmetic changes, you must look sharp after all. This means that you can still use your SOUL abilities, open a [FIGHT] like Asriel used to, and even use Monster Magic. Are there any requests before we begin?"
Anthony realizing he now knew EXACTLY what world he was in and even the current time, just before the birth of Naruto, likely hours away as Naruto was born on October 10th, and what day was today? October 10th. Anthony died around 7am, about an hour from home after leaving at 5:40am, dying 10 minutes after the accident from lack of medical attention, he had spoken with Asriel and Hagoromo for about 4 hours, Naruto was born during the night just before midnight, meaning Sasuke was already born, and Naruto was arriving within 12 hours. This meant he and Asriel would be leaving before then, and they needed to be ready.
