Chapter 303: Oxer Slaughter Machine
[Oxer Slaughter Machine has joined the chat]
[Dog Ku has joined the chat]
[Odd Jobs Gin-san has joined the chat]
Kenji looked at the new members who had joined the chat group. At this point, it wasn't really necessary for new members to join. Whatever trouble came up, everyone could help each other solve it.
"Who are they this time♪?" Elysia asked softly.
"One's a battle maniac, one's a general, and the last one has... absolutely no scruples."
"Dog Ku" (Gou Kong) is Son Goku from Dragon Ball. As a member of the warrior race, the Saiyans, his love for battle is etched into his very bones.
Kenji wasn't sure if he was from the GT timeline or the Dragon Ball Super timeline. The GT Son Goku has a bit more humanity to him. The Super one is just a martial arts idiot. When he watched Dragon Ball Super, it just didn't give him the same feeling as GT.
As for General Duanmu, he was full of famous scenes, the one and only "Oxer Slaughter Machine." He's known for his famous, heavily-accented memes. In the entire show plus the movie, he only seems to have two moments of confusion: one, being confused when he can't find any Oxers on patrol, and the other, being confused when a child Oxer asks him about "humility."
"Odd Jobs Gin-san" is, of course, the good-for-nothing uncle, Sakata Gintoki. A hardcore sweets-lover. The Gintama manga is an absolute classic.
It has "tributed" (parodied) so many anime: One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, Evangelion... You could say the apology letters were endless.
There's a saying: "Gintama is a sea you can't escape; once you're in, your scruples are gone."
The "prostate brake."
The highly-detailed "Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon."
In short, the famous memes are countless, and every one is a classic. Ditch your scruples and watch Gintama, and you'll have an endless source of joy.
[Odd Jobs Gin-san]: "Hiss... so many familiar faces."
Gintoki was a bit dumbfounded. There were too many familiar people, many of whom he had parodied. He... wouldn't have to send them apology letters, would he? He was just starting to understand this new group he'd joined.
Monkey D. Kizaru: "Does this fella know us?"
[Odd Jobs Gin-san]: "Sort of. Aren't you that Marine 'Actor-Monkey' Admiral?"
Kizaru having the surname "Monkey" felt perfectly normal.
Monkey D. Kizaru: "I'll sue you for slander! I've always been dedicated to my job! When have I ever 'acted'!"
Kizaru was speechless. So what if he held back a little? How was that "acting"?
[Star Forger]: "Gintoki knows a lot of people."
It wasn't just Japanese works; he had "tributed" (parodied) China's Journey to the West and works from other countries, too.
[Odd Jobs Gin-san]: "Ahem... so, you guys probably don't need apology letters, right?"
[Odd Jobs Gin-san]: "If you do... Shinpachi can write them right now."
[Ghost of the Uchiha]: "Apology letters? What did you do?"
Madara Uchiha was a bit curious. This Gintoki fellow seemed nervous, as if he'd done something bad.
[Star Forger]: "In short, he's done a lot. I'll upload a manga and anime for you all. You're cool with that, right, Gintoki?"
[Odd Jobs Gin-san]: "No problem! I want to see it too."
[Star Forger]: "Friendly reminder: Before you watch, please abandon all scruples. You won't need them."
[Gudako]: "Oh? Now that you put it that way, I'm getting curious."
[Galactic Baseballer]: "Scruples? I can drop those anytime. But I can't miss a new show."
[Odd Jobs Gin-san]: "Wait, those parts aren't in there, are they!?"
Gintoki felt a sense of dread before he even clicked. Past moments flashed through his mind, one by one. Sweat trickled down his cheek.
No! This time, his embarrassment was going to be known across the universe.
Time machine!
Doraemon's time machine, get me one, quick!
Gintoki needed a time machine right now more than anything, to stop his past self from agreeing to this.
[Dog Ku]: "Are there any strong guys here?"
[Star Forger]: "I'll match you with a suitable opponent. Wolffy, you're up!"
As everyone knows, gag characters are just for laughs. They don't have any real power. A dog, a rabbit, a fox, a cat... they're just mascots.
[I Love Frying Pans]: "I'm just an inventor. I don't have that kind of power."
Hikari rubbed his head. That line felt way too familiar.
[Star Forger]: "There's no one for you to fight right now, Son Goku. Have you heard of Gods of Destruction or Angels?"
[Dog Ku]: "I only know the Supreme Kai. I don't know any Gods of Destruction or Angels. Are there gods like that?"
[Dog Ku]: "I was turned into a kid by the Black Star Dragon Balls a little while ago. I've left Earth and I'm searching the universe for the scattered Dragon Balls."
[Star Forger]: "Got it. I know which world's Son Goku you are."
Turned into a kid, searching the universe for Dragon Balls... This was Son Goku from the GT world.
This Goku got a lot of screen time; the other characters... not so much.
Super Saiyan 4 Son Goku... he was really cool, radiating a kind of wild, handsome aura.
[Dog Ku]: "Are there other Son Gokus?"
[Star Forger]: "There are, buddy. There are."
[Dog Ku]: "I'd really love to have a match with another world's me!"
Little Son Goku sat on the spaceship. He wondered what another version of himself would be like.
[Star Forger]: "Wolffy, you should be able to make a potion that makes Son Goku grow his tail back, right?"
[I Love Frying Pans]: "Isn't this Son Goku human? How does he have a tail? Is it... a mutation?"
[Dog Ku]: "I'm not human. I'm from the warrior race, the Saiyans!"
[Ruan Mei]: "Saiyans... a warrior race? A species that specializes in combat?"
[Odd Jobs Gin-san]: "The Dragon Ball world is too ridiculous. A power level of over 100 can destroy a planet. The numbers later are just absurd, like, in the 'billions.'"
[Ahoge King]: "That's a bit too much, isn't it? A power level of 100 can destroy a planet? When did that get so easy?"
["Nah, I'd win"]: "Tsk... facing an enemy like that, it seems... I wouldn't win."
[Naughty Xi]: "What an absurd power system. In our world, only a tiny handful of people have planet-busting abilities."
[Sherry]: "So, a power level of 100 means one person is as strong as an entire nation?"
[Odd Jobs Gin-san]: "A power level of 100 was actually considered really high in early Dragon Ball."
If he had a power level of 100, the war back then... the outcome definitely wouldn't have been the same. It would have changed a lot.
