Chapter 19 - Whispers and Seals: The Fight to Hold the Sight

A week had passed, and rumors about my powers were spreading like wildfire. I didn't know who started them, but I was certain that damn Danzo had a hand in it—like he hadn't made my life difficult enough already.

I was walking through the training grounds, the dense forest around me usually a place of peace, but today my mind was anything but calm. Whispers echoed through the village, and even children looked at me with a mix of fear and awe.

I caught fragments of their conversations:

— "Hey, isn't that the monster with the demonic powers?"

— "They say he can take out an entire squad without even touching them!"

— "He's not normal… I wouldn't mess with him!"

Their words cut deep, but I had no time to dwell on them. I needed to find a way to better control the power of my Mangekyou Sharingan — that cursed power that's slowly stealing my sight.

As I passed by an ancient oak tree, an idea struck me.

What if I could create a sealing jutsu inspired by the Uzumaki clan? Their seals are known for controlling and preserving chakra flow, offering long-lasting protection and stability.

If I could forge a seal that slows the chakra flow to my eyes, maybe I could use the Mangekyou Sharingan without rapidly losing my vision.

This seal wouldn't stop the process completely, but it would delay it, allowing me to push my Mangekyou Sharingan to its limits for longer.

By combining my chakra control with the principles of Uzumaki sealing techniques, I could build a personal shield for my eyes.

At least I can slow down the loss of sight until I awaken the Rinnegan.

But as this thought took root, another darker one crept in — the massacre of the Uchiha clan. So many innocent lives lost to fear and hatred. I refuse to let that fate befall me, my family, or anyone I care about.

Taking a deep breath, I pushed forward. Let the rumors spread. I have to grow stronger — for myself, and for those I must protect.

After coming up with the plan for the seal to slow down my loss of sight, another idea hit me — maybe I should visit Minato and his team. Maybe I could learn something or at least get some advice.

I headed to their training grounds, and when they saw me, they were surprised. I didn't wait for formalities.

"Yo, what's up?" I said casually but with confidence.

They all laughed, and Rin, Obito, Minato, and Kakashi started asking how I was feeling. It was a long, serious conversation — they were all worried about my powers and what they might bring.

After things settled down, I turned to Minato and asked, "What have you been working on lately? Still messing with your jutsu?"

Minato smiled and replied, "Yeah, actually I'm working on something that could change everything — trying to make a jutsu similar to the Tailed Beast Bomb but in the form of a Rasengan. The problem is I can't stabilize its shape."

I thought to myself: Should I help him create the Rasengan, or just give him some pointers? I realized it'd be better to guide him with questions to help him find the way himself.

I said, "Try focusing your chakra into the spiral as precisely as possible, and control its flow through rotation like it's a vortex that maintains itself. If you can keep the rotation stable, maybe you can keep the form longer."

Minato listened carefully and nodded. "Thanks, that makes sense. I'll keep working on it."

Later, when Minato tried my advice, he was surprised by the results. The Rasengan he formed was small, but it cracked a huge tree trunk with one hit—a powerful sign of progress.

In his mind, Minato thought, "This kid, he's a genius."

After that talk with Minato, Kushina suddenly appeared, her footsteps light but urgent. The moment she saw me, her eyes softened, filled with a mix of worry and relief.

"Izuna… are you okay?" she asked gently, her voice trembling just a little.

I forced a small smile, but she wasn't fooled.

"You're lying," she whispered, tears brimming in her eyes. Without another word, she threw her arms around me, holding me tight like she never wanted to let go.

"I was so scared… I heard the rumors. I thought… something bad had happened to you," she said, her voice breaking.

I closed my eyes, feeling the warmth of her embrace washing away the weight on my chest.

"I'm here," I said softly. "I'm still fighting."

We stood there for a long moment before I pulled back and looked into her eyes.

"There's something I need to tell you," I began, my voice low but steady. "About my powers… and a way I think I can protect myself."

I explained my idea: "I want to create a sealing jutsu, something inspired by the Uzumaki clan's techniques. Their seals can control and slow down chakra flow, keeping it stable for a long time. If I can make a seal like that for my eyes, maybe I can use my Mangekyou Sharingan without losing my sight so fast."

Kushina's eyes widened as she listened, then she nodded slowly.

"That… that makes a lot of sense," she said, determination shining through her worry. "The Uzumaki seals are strong and resilient. If anyone can make this work, it's you. And I'll help you. You don't have to do this alone."

Her words hit me harder than any jutsu ever could. For the first time in a long while, I felt hope—real hope.

"Thank you, Kushina," I said, a genuine smile breaking through.
