Chapter 2 - His Terms Her Fire

"He touched me like I was his—even though he knew I hated him for it"
Liana sat across from Ares in his private office — if it could even be called that. The space looked more like a billionaire's lair: sleek walls, black marble floor, dim lighting that glinted off silver fixtures. A city skyline burned in the windows behind him like the world was on fire.
He sat in his chair like a king. And she was the offering.
"I don't sleep with my employees," she said, folding her arms.
He raised one brow. "Is that what you think I hired you for?"
"You didn't hire me," she snapped. "You own the building. You probably threatened someone."
He smirked.
She stood abruptly, blood pounding in her ears.
"I won't be your toy, Ares
"Good," he said calmly. "I don't want a toy. I want a challenge."
She tried to leave.
He didn't stop her — not with his hands. But his voice followed her like a curse.
"You're still mine, Liana. Whether you scream it or whisper it. I'll have you either way."
💋Later that night
Her apartment was cold. Cheap. And nothing like the life she once lived. She pressed her back to the wall, trying to breathe.
Why did her body ache for him?
Why did her thighs clench every time she remembered how close he got?
She hated him.
And that hatred was turning into something that made her feel shamefull alive.
Her hand slipped down between her legs before she could stop it. His voice was still in her head.
I'll have you either way...
She arched her back, biting her lip, ashamed of the way her body obeyed
✨Meanwhile Liana's best friend Nora and Ares' most loyal man Dante:
At the back entrance of the Velen Corp building, Dante stood watching through a cigarette haze.
He saw her again - Nora, the girl with combat boots and loud opinions.
She was waiting for Liana. But she looked like fire and sin and trouble.
And Dante didn't do trouble. He removed it.
"Why are you always watching me?" Nora called, crossing her arms.
"I'm not," he replied. "I'm watching the exits."
"You're watching my ass."
He didn't deny it.
She walked up to him, her face tilted in challenge. "Ares might be your boss. But I'm not afraid of men like you."
Dante smiled for the first time in days.
"You should be," he said.
🔍Rayan's start(Liana's bro)
Rayan sat in the library, face hidden behind old records and police files. A blurry photo of his father's old business partner stared back at him.
Ares Velen.
But another name appeared too... one that didn't make sense.
"Hans Landa— confidential witness. Asset frozen. Disappeared."
Rayan leaned closer.
He knew Ares ruined their father, but what if someone helped him do it??
———————————————————

Morning came too soon.
She walked into the building with trembling legs and fire in her chest.
She thought maybe he wouldn't be in. Maybe she'd have time.
But when she entered her office — he was already there, sitting in her chair, flipping through her sketchbook.
She froze.
He held up a page — a drawing of a man with shadowed eyes. Him.
"You dream of me," he said softly.
She snatched it from him. "Get out."
He stood, eyes locked to hers.
"I'll leave," he said. "But not without a taste."
He stepped forward, pressed her to the wall.
His mouth crashed into hers.
Hot. Hard. Possessive.
She gasped and he slid his tongue inside — no hesitation, no mercy. His hand gripped her jaw.
His body pressed into hers like he'd waited years.
She should've pushed him away.
But her legs parted. Her arms trembled.
He kissed her like he already owned her soul.
And when he pulled away, his voice was dark.
"This is just the beginning, Liana.'
🥀Selene's return(Ares ex)
In a candlelit suite in another part of the city, Selene sipped wine with blood-red lips. A news article lay on the table beside her.
"Ares Velen's Empire Expands With New
Acquisition"
She traced the image of him with one manicured finger.
"I let you go once, darling," she whispered. "But now you've fallen for a girl in a thrift store dress?"
She stood, silk slipping off her skin like a threat.
"She'll wish she never touched you."
