Chapter 1 - recovery

(The Reborn lord)

Chapter– 1 (recovery)

‎"Where... Where am I?" John asked, slowly moving his gaze around the dimly lit room

‎He opened his eyes slowly, after what felt like an eternity. Sweat covered his entire body.

‎He looked around the dimly lit room, fear rising in his chest.

‎

‎John (whispers): "Where am I?! Am I... dead? I'm... am I in heaven?"

‎

‎With his last bit of strength, he stood up and stumbled toward the door, disbelief written all over his face.

‎

‎John (muttering): "Oh no... am I going to heal?"

The door creaked open. He stepped outside, looking amazed at how different the world felt. He smiled, even though he didn't know why.

‎

‎Suddenly, he heard a noise in the woods.

‎His body tensed. He instinctively prepared to fight, even though he didn't know what was coming.

‎

‎The sound grew louder.

‎Voice from the darkness: "You're awake... John."

‎

‎Fear washed over him. The air around him felt thick with tension.

John (shouting): "Show yourself! If you want to walk out of here—do it now!"

‎Stranger (stepping forward quickly): "And if I don't? What are you going to do—kill me?!"

‎John caught sight of the man's face and collapsed. The old man had no choice but to slap him hard across the face to wake him.

‎Stranger (seriously): "You've been like this for years... and you finally open your eyes. If you dare close them again, I'll kill you myself."

‎

‎He lifted John into his arms and carried him into the house. Sitting beside him through the night, the old man watched him closely.

‎John (groggy): "Who... who are you?"

Old Man: "That's not important right now. You need to eat—recover as fast as you can."

‎He offered a plate of food. John stared at it, his expression serious.

‎

‎John (thinking): "Is he trying to poison me?"

‎Old Man (firmly): "Eat up. I have no intention of killing you."

‎

‎John eyed the plate, feeling like the food wasn't enough.

‎

‎Old Man (shouting): "Eat! Now! Before I change my mind."

‎

‎He walked out of the room, leaving John alone.

‎

A few minutes later, John walked out slowly. A picture on the wall caught his attention. He stared at it, confused, trying to understand what was going on.

‎

‎Voice (softly): "Don't push yourself too much. With time, you'll understand."

‎

‎Old Man (calling): "Come. Walk with me."

‎

‎John: "Where are we going?!"

‎

‎Old Man: "You ask too many questions. It's a pain in the ass."

‎

‎John ran toward him.

‎

‎John: "To where?"

‎

Old Man: "To get you clean, you fool. This way."

‎

‎They entered a bathroom. John gave the old man a look.

‎

‎John (sharply): "Leave. Now."

‎

‎Voice (teasing): "What are you waiting for? Expecting me to leave? Oh... I see. That's not going to happen. I'm not letting you out of my sight—not for one second—until your mission is complete."

‎

‎John (confused): "What mission?"

‎

‎Old Man: "First things first."

‎

‎Water splashed all over the floor. John stood silently, then let out a deep, calm breath.

He couldn't explain the feeling... but something was changing.

‎

‎He dressed in clean clothes left for him.

‎

‎Old Man (thinking): "This boy is... odd. Who is he? For five years he's been unconscious here with me. And now—recovered in under five hours—he's stronger than ten men. That's not normal."

‎

‎Later, in the garden, John walked in circles. No matter where he went, he kept ending up in the same spot.

‎

‎Every night, he had the same dream. And slowly, his body began to change—his chest broadened, his arms grew, his voice deepened.

‎

One morning, the old man looked at him, amazed.

‎

‎Old Man (softly): "I have something to tell you..."

‎

‎He paused, a sad look on his face.

‎

‎

‎---

‎

‎Old Man (reflecting):

‎"Five years ago, I was on my way home. Thunder roared. Rain poured from the sky on that fateful night.

‎In the distance, I saw a woman wearing a red dress. She had a sword in her hand. You were in her arms, unconscious.

‎She was badly injured—too badly, I feared, to survive. But she held you like a sacred object.

‎She had to let go of the house and fight to save your life.

‎I tried to walk past you both... but I couldn't. It was as if I'd been cursed to protect you.

‎That's been my purpose ever since.

‎

‎I made a vow to the God of the Sun—to keep you safe."

‎---John (with tears): "I must find out who those people are... the ones who want me dead. I'll kill every last one of them. They must pay."

‎

‎Old Man (stern): "You can't. Not yet. You're not ready. You must prepare for what's coming—and prove to me that you're ready for it."

‎

‎John (angry): "Why do you know what I'm thinking?! What's happening?!"

‎

‎His eyes turned white. The old man stepped forward and calmed him down.

‎

‎Old Man: "I have the ability to read minds. But you... you block me out. I don't know how you do it. That ability is rarely mastered—and yet you do it effortlessly. Who are you?!"

‎He stared at John in awe.

‎

‎Old Man (thinking): "He's the last of his kind. I have to help him unlock his power—push his ability to the limit."

‎

‎

‎

‎Narrator:

‎The next day, training began. The old man told John about the world outside—how cruel it was—and how he'd need strength to survive.

‎

‎Days turned into weeks. John grew stronger and faster. He mastered acts that others took years to learn—and he mastered five of them.

‎

‎The old man was stunned. Then, one day, he noticed a movement in the woods... !!!!
