Chapter 65 - Volume 1. Chapter 64 — Clash of Teams

Leo and Sai stood face to face with their opponents. Li Kun and Bo Hai watched them closely. Meanwhile, among the clan leaders, Zhao Lao finally spoke:

"It seems our teams will fight one-on-one, huh," he said, stroking his beard.

Suddenly, the man who had been silent all this time began to speak. His appearance was terrifying — more like a beast than a human. His body was covered in scars, long hair fell over his shoulders, and his bloodthirsty gaze seemed to pierce through everything. He looked to be in his fifties and held a massive spear nearly as tall as himself — over two meters long.

The head of the Divine Spear Clan, Chang Tan, spoke first:

"How boring… Instead of praising these weaklings, you should take a look at their strength."

Yu Han frowned and replied angrily, "If I were you, I wouldn't call those kids weaklings. I believe one day they'll surpass even your current self."

"Surpass me? Yu Han, you clearly don't know what you're talking about. Your pathetic attitude irritates me," Chang Tan sneered.

Zhao Lao opened his mouth to say something, but before he could, a massive aura filled the space. Everyone felt the overwhelming pressure — some gasped for breath, while others remained completely unaffected.

The aura came from Yu Lan. Clenching his spear, he gritted his teeth and said,

"Something wrong, Lord Yu Lan?"

Yu Lan, still standing with his eyes closed, spoke in a calm but chilling tone:

"Tan, how many times do I have to repeat myself? Stop spouting bullshit, or you'll regret it."

"Fine…" Chang Tan muttered through clenched teeth.

Then Arthur interrupted, laughing:

"Haha, maybe you should stop releasing your aura already?"

Yu Lan stopped immediately.

Arthur's expression turned serious, his voice cold and menacing.

"I hope this is the first and last time I hear anything against those kids."

"Understood…" Chang Tan replied reluctantly.

At that moment, Leo said,

"I'll take Li Kun. You handle the other one."

"Got it," Sai replied.

In a blur of speed, they both charged forward. Leo immediately took the initiative, striking first. Li Kun reacted quickly — his robotic eyes allowed him to perceive motion in slow time, letting him counterattack almost instantly.

Blocking the blow, Li Kun leaped back. Bo Hai, watching, didn't react — he trusted Li Kun to handle himself.

Bo Hai pointed his spear toward Sai, who quickly used her technique:

"Sakura Stance — Redirection!"

Redirecting his strike, Sai dashed forward and aimed a palm strike at his abdomen. But Bo Hai blocked it with his arm and said coldly,

"Too slow."

He kicked her in the stomach, sending her flying. Without giving her a chance to recover, Bo Hai rushed at her again.

Meanwhile, Noy dodged Lao Wei's arrows. Lao Wei grew increasingly irritated by his speed.

"I've never seen someone your age move that fast!" Lao Wei shouted.

Noy replied with his usual carefree tone,

"Man, you're not bad either. You're not letting me get close… It's honestly heartbreaking!"

"Hah, really now," Lao Wei muttered, thinking, I just need to buy time for the others.

Elsewhere, David stood across from Xing.

"Then let's begin our fight," Xing said and launched forward at incredible speed.

His fist nearly pierced David's stomach, but David managed to dodge and counter with a spinning kick to the head. The hit landed cleanly — yet Xing didn't even flinch.

"Not bad…" Xing said before kicking David so hard he was thrown backward, crashing into a tree and raising a cloud of dust.

For someone that big, he's insanely fast… What a pain. What should I do? David thought. Alright, I'll just adapt as I go.

Standing up, he drew his sword and faced Xing.

"So you're going to fight me with a weapon? How disappointing," Xing said mockingly.

"What can I say? I'd rather not fight you barehanded — you're strong enough as it is," David replied, his eyes steady.

"Heh, fine then. Let's see

if you can entertain me," Xing said, gesturing with his hand.

"Come at me."
