Pleaseeee come, okay, Shin… 🥲
She typed with a pleading emoji.
I just read it and left my phone there. Without realizing it, I fell into a deep sleep.
The Next Morning
The clock showed almost 8 AM. The alarm rang loudly.
Ring!! Ring!! Ring!!
I woke up, rubbing my eyes. My body felt heavy, and when I looked down, I saw my mom sleeping on top of me.
She always uses me as her pillow to sleep, and it's been a long time since she last slept in her own room. Maybe she's still scared—traumatized by how my father abused her.
Back then, I fought with my dad, and we both ended up in jail after nearly killing each other.
But before things got worse, the police arrived—my mother had called them. After that, I never saw my father again. My mother divorced him, too.
Even now, she still carries the trauma from that worthless man.
I gently stroked my mom's head, lifted her from my lap, and sat up on the bed while she lay across my thighs.
"Mom, wake up. It's morning. You'll be late for work."
She just hummed drowsily, staggering as she tried to stand—then collapsed. I ended up carrying her to the bathroom.
I took off her shirt and pants, leaving her in just her underwear.
"Go take a bath now, Mom."
She nodded weakly.
I then stepped out of the bathroom. Breakfast was already prepared by our part-time housemaid. I've never actually seen her—she comes early in the morning, and once we all leave, she takes care of the house.
A while later, after we both had showered and gotten dressed, we sat at the dining table for breakfast.
"Son, how's school? Everything okay?"
I just nodded. She just wanted to talk—she was that kind of person, always trying to keep the conversation going.
I tried to lighten the mood. "How's work? Mom, you know… you can find new love. Later, I can take care of myself. You don't have to introduce them to me again. They always run away anyway."
BANG!!
She suddenly slammed both hands on the table—not too hard, but enough to startle me. Her face twisted in suppressed anger.
"What did you just say, son?"
"Where do you think you're going?"
Her expression always turned terrifying whenever I tried to distance myself from her.
"You know you'll always be stuck with me… right, son?"
I stayed silent.
"Right, son???"
I nodded.
"Good. Don't ever think about that again."
After eating, we went our separate ways—she headed straight to work, while I left for my school, just in front of our house.
"Have a nice day, son."
I waved at Mom and walked off. My school wasn't far—just a 15-minute walk.
It was a private school, one mostly for rich kids. I had no idea how Mom managed to get me in here. What kind of secret was she hiding?
As soon as I reached the school gate, the usual thing happened—people avoided me because of that stupid "NTR MC" title. But all of that was because…
"Hey, Shin…"
My only friend, the guy who loved cracking jokes and was obsessed with anime.
"Heyyyyy, Shin!!!"
I replied in my slightly villainous voice just for him.
"Yeah… hello."
Ouchh…
He collapsed onto his butt.
"That voice… That voice is straight out of a real villain…"
I just ignored him. The longer I entertained him, the more of a headache he'd become.
As usual, once I reached the classroom, because of my height, I sat at the back near the window. It's my last year, so I didn't really care.
In class, I had no friends… just lonely. I put on my earphones and slept like always. Neither teachers nor students dared to wake me.
Tap.. tap.. tap..
My desk made a sound as if someone was knocking. I ignored it, thinking it was just my imagination—no one ever dared to knock on my desk before.
Tap!! Tap!! Tap!!
I started getting annoyed. Maybe it was my friend messing around.
Who the fu—
I was shocked to see a blonde-haired woman I didn't recognize standing in front of me with an angry face.
She didn't look like a student. Was she a new teacher?
I looked around—everyone in class seemed scared, like I was about to do something dangerous. But that was fine. Maybe it was time I played along with the reputation.
I stood up from my seat and looked her in the eyes, even though my vision was a bit blurry because my bangs covered them.
"Hey, you… new teacher, right? Just die, bitch."
The whole class gasped in shock.
I didn't really think much. As long as she stopped bothering me, it was fine. And that line? My friend taught me that—he said if I didn't want to get messed with, I should use it.
I lay back down, thinking it was over, but then—
My ear got pulled hard.
"Hey, you brat! You think I'm scared of you? How dare you call me a bitch! Get out of this class right now and meet me in the teacher's office!"
I froze. I didn't know what to do. This was the first time someone wasn't afraid of me.
So I walked out of the class.
Maybe I should just sleep at my usual spot. I headed up to the school rooftop and lay down peacefully.
Ahhh… this sleep is so good…
I opened my eyes and was startled—there was a girl's face right in front of me, smiling.
"Nice nap?"
I thought I was dreaming. I reached out my large hand and touched her face, then playfully shook her head.
It felt real…
"Yeah, it's real—and also your nightmare."
SLAP!!
She slapped me hard.
"I searched the whole school for you, and here you are hiding? How dare you skip my class! I just told you to stand outside, not disappear!"
I lowered my head. This was the first time anyone besides my mom had ever yelled at me.
"You better get your ass up now, or I'll drag you by the ear again. Come with me to class—now."
Without saying anything, I just followed her back to class.
"You kids better not think about skipping my class again, or I'll hunt you down forever. And nice to meet you all—my name is Rin Ikuta, your new teacher."
