Chapter 122 - Haru? Haruno? [Bonus Chapter 2/5]

Yukino sat on the sofa, holding Haru. Her fingers gently scratched Haru's body.

"Meow..." Haru comfortably narrowed her eyes.

"Haru... what do you think I should do?"

Haru tilted her head. It was strange; she could understand Ren-kun's words, and the words of this human called Yukino by Ren-kun. Yukino seemed very confused, just like she was today when faced with the dilemma of dried small fish and dried large fish. As someone who had been there, Haru patted Yukino's hand with her small paw.

"Meow! Meow meow! Meow meow!" (Don't hesitate! Follow your heart! Dried small fish are the most delicious!)

"Is Haru encouraging me?" Yukino stroked Haru's small paw.

After a long while, she bloomed into a beautiful smile. "I think I know what to do."

*****

Ren had just arrived home. Upon seeing Ren, Yukino gently put Haru down. She walked towards him and embraced him.

"Thank you..." Her voice was soft but sincere. Yukino looked up, her moist eyes shimmering. "Ren-kun, would you accompany me somewhere?"

"Mm." Ren didn't know what had happened, but he still nodded in agreement.

Yukino's previous apartment. Ren accompanied her here. Since the half-year lease hadn't expired, it still belonged to her. They sat on the sofa. The apartment was already empty.

Ren was also puzzled: "Why did you think of coming back here?"

Yukino surveyed her surroundings, a look of reminiscence on her face. "This is the first place I decided to move to." "It's also the first place I tried to make a change." This was the first turning point in her life. The second turning point was meeting Ren.

In this place, which was very significant to her, Yukino had some serious words she wanted to tell Ren. Her dark, moist eyes gazed at Ren. "Ren-kun, I can no longer deceive myself; I want to tell you my true feelings."

Yukino slowly spoke the truth that she had always tried to deny within her heart. "I like you." She originally had so much she wanted to say. She wanted to talk about their initial feelings when they first met. She wanted to talk about the unforgettable emotion of being saved. She wanted to talk about the hesitation and confusion of being changed. She wanted to talk about today's happiness and profound feelings. But the countless words on the tip of her tongue only transformed into the simplest 'I like you.'

This was a fact she could not deny, even though she knew Ren had many relationships. Even if she didn't say it, Ren had already sensed everything from her eyes. He revealed a gentle smile: "Thank you, Yukino. Are you willing to give yourself to me?"

"Mm."

They slowly drew closer to each other. This was perhaps their first truly emotional kiss. Yukino's heart beat very fast, and it was very sweet. When emotions run deep, it's hard to pull away. Their bodies intertwined as they drew closer.

"Ugh!" Yukino's body trembled, and she shyly said: "He... here?" There was only a sofa here.

Ren smiled, picked up Yukino, and walked towards her room. Her room originally only had an empty bed. Golden wings lit up behind Ren. The power of wishes activated, and the power of faith transformed into a mattress, bed, pillows, and blankets. This was the power of wishes, using the power of faith to fulfill true wishes.

Yukino was shocked, but she didn't have time to be shocked. Because Ren had already gently placed her on the bed.

"Wait! Won't people hear us?" Yukino's pounding heart grew a little worried.

"Don't worry, the sound won't leave this room."

"Under the aura of dominance, only those with my aura on them can approach this room."

"How do I have your aura?"

"That's what we're about to do."

"Ugh!"

*****

"Ding!"

Haruno stepped out of the elevator in high heels. "Time to coax some information out of little Yukino." She had finished her tasks today. It was also Yukino's birthday, so she specifically came to see Yukino. What happened that day had also been on her mind. Who exactly had visited Yukino's home? Through Shizuka-chan, she hadn't obtained any useful information. Therefore, she needed to cunningly coax information out of Yukino.

Walking to the door, she didn't plan to ring the doorbell. She had to surprise her; maybe she could discover something. She took out her spare key and opened the door.

As soon as she walked in, she frowned. Why was the entryway empty? Not even shoes? It looked like it had been ransacked!

"Yukino!" Such a sight made her realize something was wrong. Without even taking off her shoes, she quickly ran into the living room. But she found the living room was also empty! Had Yukino's home really been robbed?

Just as she was wondering, she heard a sound. A sound from the bedroom. That was Yukino's voice! The room was ransacked. Suppressed sounds from the bedroom. In an instant, she thought of a home invasion plus…! She quickly grabbed her shoulder bag and ran towards the bedroom, opening the door! Holding her bag high, she anxiously shouted: "Let go of Yukino!!!"

"???"

"!!!"

Yukino and Ren, who were intertwined, turned their heads simultaneously. Three pairs of eyes met! A huge shock for all three people!

"Haruno!!!"

"Ren!!!"

"Sister!!!"

*****

Three people. Sitting on the same sofa. Ren was in the middle, looking at Haruno with a complex expression. This face, although her long hair had become short, was so familiar to him. Without a doubt, she was Haruno. Haruno, the woman who saved him. Haruno, Yukino's older sister. The two were actually the same person!

Haruno was equally helpless and melancholic, towards Ren and Yukino. The man she had once deeply loved, Ren. He was actually with her own sister!

Yukino felt guilty, ashamed, and bewildered. The man she fell in love with was the man her sister had once loved. And her sister had just witnessed her and Ren in that moment. This… what was going to happen now! She tightly clenched her fists.

Yukino gritted her teeth. "Sister, I… "

"Don't say anything." Haruno stopped Yukino from speaking. A mask of a smile appeared on her face. "This is your choice. If it's Ren-kun, I'll support you. Leave Mother to me." She was smiling, a fake smile. But her fingernails dug into her palms, and her heart ached. She had left him herself; this was her retribution.

"Haha, I won't disturb you two anymore. Yukino has grown up, too. Ren-kun, be gentle with Yukino." Haruno pointed at Ren. Then she stood up, preparing to leave.

Ren grabbed her hand. "Haru…"

"My name is Haruno. Ren-kun might have mistaken me for someone else." Haruno did not turn her head. Her voice trembled.

"Sister…" Yukino saw the water dripping from beneath her hair. Ren wouldn't be mistaken. She could enter his aura. She had his scent. She must be Haru.

Facing Haru… or rather, Haruno again. Ren actually didn't know what to do.

Just as the three of them were struggling to decide, a voice sounded in their ears.

[The third Doomsday Game has finished loading!]

Ren and Yukino disappeared simultaneously.

"Ren! Yukino!" A sudden change! Haruno panicked. They had both suddenly disappeared! "What on earth is going on?"

Haruno focused on the options labeled Doomsday Game [YES]. "Is it because of this?" Having already encountered the supernatural, Haruno immediately suspected the Doomsday Game. It was highly probable that Yukino and Ren had disappeared because of it.

"YES!" Haruno chose without hesitation. One was her beloved sister. The other was her former lover. Even if they faced danger, they would die together!

*****

Ren opened his eyes. The sudden Doomsday Game caught him off guard. His gaze swept around. He was in a dense jungle. There was no one beside him. He was wearing a strange mechanical armor suit and carrying a set of weapons and equipment. And the methods for using them had appeared in his mind.

"Exoskeleton armor?" It looked cool. But it was meaningless… Ren simply took it off. There was no one around, and he wasn't sure if Yukino had also arrived.

"All creation, return to me!" Ren simply activated his Bankai. Instantly, he dominated this entire world. This was a planet. There were various thoughts on the planet. There was a great deal of life. But there were only five humans with complex thoughts besides him. He distinguished them one by one through their thoughts. They were Yukino, Chika, and the other two. And… Yukino Haruno!!!

"How did Haruno get here too?" The most crucial thing was that everyone was scattered across the planet! Even the closest Haruno was quite far from him.

If he weren't here. Was this Doomsday Game not giving people a chance to live? Why did he say that… Ren looked up. A spider dozens of meters in size appeared above the forest. Its legs, like sharp, giant spears, jabbed down at him.

"Crawl." Ren couldn't be bothered with it. He glared, and the giant spider instantly shattered into pieces.

At the same time, he gained a deeper understanding of this Giant Beast Barren Star from the information he dominated. This planet was a paradise for giant beasts. There were countless gigantic monsters. At the apex were over a dozen super-giant beasts. Among them was the King of Monsters… Godzilla?

After zombies and xenomorphs, Godzilla had even arrived. If it weren't for him, this overpowered person, how would the others survive? Currently, only Yukino probably had a chance to survive for seven days. What about newcomers like Haruno? One could only say that it truly lived up to its name as the Doomsday Game; it was specifically designed to create doomsday and no longer considered game fairness. After all, creating doomsday was the goal of the Doomsday Game.

Ren stopped thinking. He still needed to find them as soon as possible. The closest was Haruno. Based on the location of her thoughts, he rushed directly towards her.

"Where… am I…" Wearing an exoskeleton armor, Haruno looked blankly at the dense jungle. She only remembered choosing [YES]. In the blink of an eye, she appeared in this jungle.

Haruno calmly analyzed the current situation. Neither Yukino nor Ren were present. Soon, she discovered the game store. It sold all sorts of strange things. Rocket launchers, power armor, war mechs, and so on. Many were things that didn't exist in reality. And purchasing them required spending survival points. Currently, her survival points were zero. She couldn't buy anything.

"Doomsday Game…" "So this is a game? How do I get survival points?"

Just as Haruno was thinking about the crucial point, Boom! Boom boom! The ground suddenly shook. In her horrified gaze, the shaking sound rapidly approached like heavy footsteps. Various birds flew out of the jungle, and trees collapsed one by one.

A giant monster appeared. Its head resembled a lizard, yet it was covered in an exposed, bone-like shell. Only two limbs and a thick, long tail supported its body. Enveloped in the monster's shadow, Haruno was chilled to the bone. This monster could crush her to death with just one foot!

"Run!" She had only this one thought: she had to survive to see Ren and Yukino! Instinct made her control the exoskeleton armor. Flames jetted from her back, palms, and feet. Haruno's body took flight, thanks to the exoskeleton's flight function. Even if she had weapons in her hands, she didn't attempt any attacks. By all appearances, this giant monster was not something that could be killed by the firearms in her hand. She flew at full speed.

"Roar!!!" The lizard monster opened its gaping maw and roared. Its long, forked tongue dripped saliva onto the ground. Its tail swung, knocking down a swath of trees. Its front two limbs gripped the ground, pushing off with force. Its massive body actually leaped into the air!

"!!!" Haruno hadn't expected this monster, with its enormous body, to be able to jump. At this moment, suspended in mid-air, she was utterly helpless.

"Bang!" Before despair could fully set in, the lizard monster's body suddenly crashed to the ground, crushing a large area of trees.

"Roar!" It roared furiously, trying to get up, but was held down by an invisible force.

Is there anything else you'd like me to refine or continue with?
