Chapter 527: Machida Sonoko Is Very Curious!
Yotsuba's rosy cheeks were puffed up. "Ren-kun, why did you suddenly scare me?"
He just smiled. "How's Haru's teaching?"
Itsuki eagerly shared, "Haru-sensei teaches very well! I've learned a lot."
"Meow meow." (Itsuki studies very diligently.) Haru waved her paws.
"Heh heh," Itsuki, praised, was happy and embarrassed.
Ren nodded. "It's good if it's effective. You all continue." Seeing him about to leave, Ichika asked, "What are you going to do again, Ren-kun? You haven't been home much."
"A few days ago, maybe it really was as Yotsuba said. I went to save the world," he winked at her.
"Oh, Ren-kun, don't tease me."
He was noncommittal. He was telling the truth.
Not wanting to disturb them, he left the house and went straight to Utaha's.
"Ren! You're back!" Benio opened the door, her face lit up.
"Yes, I'm back." He was considerate of her feelings. Benio was already happy just seeing him. She guessed, "You're here for Utaha-nee, aren't you? She's in the bedroom."
"Alright, I'll go see." He rubbed her head, then stepped towards the room, not closing the door. The moment he entered, he was captivated by the springtime scene. Two beautiful, naked bodies radiated a faint heat from the steam of the bath.
"Benio, is something wrong?" Utaha, who had just finished bathing and was drying Mi-chan's hair, sensed someone enter and assumed it was Benio.
"!!!" But the next moment, she felt a familiar, secure body embrace her from behind. "Ren-kun!"
"Utaha, you should close the door after bathing," he whispered.
She turned her head, her heart racing, but still gave him a sidelong glance. "Besides you, there doesn't seem to be any other man in the house, does there?"
"…" That was true.
"Eat! I'm hungry!" Upon seeing Ren, Mi-chan's eyes lit up, staring intently at his lower body.
"…" Utaha gave a wry smile, then gritted her teeth. "You scoundrel! You've been gone for days! Mi-chan is starving."
His lips curved. "Then I'll have to ask Mommy Utaha to cooperate with me and make something delicious for her."
"Eh! N-now?" Utaha's face flushed. "I'm not ready yet!"
However, he raised his hand in front of her eyes. "Not ready? Then what's this sparkle? Your 'cooking utensils' have been preheated since you knew I was here, haven't you?"
"Ugh!" She was speechless. When she felt his aura, her body had indeed become slick and ready. Seeing Mi-chan's eager expression, Utaha could only fully cooperate with him to make a grand "meal."
Originally, she was "cooking" for Mi-chan, but Benio, unwilling to be outdone, also joined in. However, their culinary skills didn't seem to satisfy her. Eventually, Mi-chan also learned to "cook" herself, mimicking their actions. As her adoptive mother, Utaha initially didn't want her to learn too early, but she had exhausted her strength preparing the "appetizers" and was powerless to stop it.
Fortunately, the result was perfect. Mi-chan ate her fill and slept soundly.
Utaha, having recovered, suddenly remembered. "!!! Oh no, my autograph session!" Five or six hours must have passed.
Ren smiled. "Don't worry. I wouldn't let you be late." He had already infinitely stretched the world's time.
"Phew, that's good. Thank you, Ren-kun." She was very happy. Even though she hadn't said anything, he already knew and had thoughtfully considered her. "You must be tired, right? Rest a bit."
"Mm." She showed a beautiful smile and snuggled into his embrace.
Utaha's light novel autograph session was held at a bookstore. After confirming she had recovered, Ren personally helped her get dressed. After restoring the flow of time, he took her to the venue.
He was confident about the session's progress. Utaha had told him the process: simply signing autographs. She wore a mask and had rejected any contact-based interactions like handshakes. The reason she gave her editor, Machida Sonoko, was simple: "My boyfriend minds."
When this came out of her mouth, Sonoko was shocked. When did she get a boyfriend? She was also very curious to meet him. She heard he would be there today.
When she arrived, she saw a very long queue. "Utaha is really popular now," she sighed. As her editor, she knew her very well. Compared to the immaturity of her first work, her second had improved immensely, especially in the handling of character emotions.
After a slight sigh, she quickly entered through the staff aisle.
