Chapter 540 - Growing into an Adult!

Chapter 540: Growing into an Adult! Complicated Relationships!

With Yukino's personal investigation and communication, the issue of rebuilding human society was quickly finalized. Ren then brought everyone back. He did not intend to destroy this alternate universe; the merger was stable. He simply used his abilities to stabilize the effects.

The other survivors affected by the spatial fluctuations were also brought back with their memories erased. As for the high-level officials who knew about the spatial cracks, Ren did not erase their memories. The world's anomalies would appear sooner or later; concealment was meaningless.

"The rest is just the two of you." Returning to the familiar streets at night, but with time stopped, Ren looked at Iroha and Saki.

"!!!" Their bodies stiffened.

"Uh…" Iroha hid behind Miki. "Um, Ren-kun, you're not going to delete our memories too, are you?"

"Deleting memories…" Saki's face showed difficulty.

Ren smiled. "Don't look like I'm going to eat you. If you feel this doesn't affect your normal life, then I don't mind."

Yukino kindly informed them, "Knowing the world's secrets makes it easy to be entangled by them."

"Entangled? Are there ghosts or something?" Iroha put on a scared expression.

But Haruno, Miyuki, and Yukino all raised their eyebrows slightly, seeing through her disguise.

She's truly mischievous, Ren thought. Her fearful expression was just an act.

He sighed and directly exposed her. "Stop pretending. Your expression doesn't show any fear."

"Eh!" Exposed, she playfully stuck out her tongue. "Hehe, I'm just curious."

"Haven't you heard the saying, 'Curiosity killed the cat'?" Ren gave her a look, but still told her some superficial things. "Anything can exist—demons, ghosts, man-eating creatures. Even so, do you still want to keep your memories?"

"Of course!" her answer was without hesitation. "I've discovered your secrets, Ren-kun, Yukino-senpai! It's super interesting! I definitely don't want to forget!"

Yukino's clear voice cut in, her eyes sharp. "You want to tell others?"

"Hiss!" A chill ran through her. Iroha felt Yukino was as cold as Esdeath. She immediately became obedient. "Uh, of course not! I won't tell anyone!"

"Yukino, don't scare her," Ren gently embraced her, disregarding her shyness. "Alright, your memory won't be erased. What about you, Kawasaki Saki?"

Saki had been struggling. After a moment, recalling Miki's help and everything she had seen, she gathered her courage. "I also want to keep my memories."

"Clap!" Ren clapped his hands, and time resumed. "Then that's that. You can go home. Don't worry; I've created perfectly integrated memories for your families."

"So amazing! As expected of Ren-kun!" Hearing this, Iroha praised him, subtly changing her form of address.

"Oh~" Haruno and Miyuki simultaneously narrowed their eyes. They immediately sensed her little scheme.

Saki bowed deeply. "Thank you. I don't know how to repay you."

Miki also expressed her gratitude. "Me too. If you hadn't given me power… If there's anything you need, please don't hesitate to tell me!"

"Me too!" Iroha added seriously.

The three wanted to repay the favor, but besides themselves, they couldn't help him with anything else.

Ren pinched his chin. "Then treat us to a meal and some fun. It's a good opportunity for Alisa to get familiar with this world."

Alisa, who had changed into suitable clothes, was indeed captivated by the bustling city. After getting her revenge, a hint of curiosity filled her empty heart.

"Eating and having fun…" Saki pursed her lips. "How about we go there?"

A bar. The place Saki suggested. Yukino frowned. "Saki-chan, you should know students aren't allowed to drink."

Haruno poked Yukino's cheek. "Oh, Yukino-chan, you're too serious. You and Ren-kun have already grown into adults. Why are you still acting like a child?"

"!!! Sis… Sister! What nonsense are you spouting?!" Yukino's face instantly flushed like a rose as she covered her sister's mouth.

Growing into an adult! As if hearing something incredible, Iroha's heart almost skipped a beat. Isn't this...

Even Miki and Saki blushed slightly.

Ren, however, didn't mind, wrapping his arm around Miyuki's waist, sipping his wine, and enjoying her soft gaze. The two were like lovers, oblivious to the world, immersed in their intimacy. This scene couldn't help but make people think, even more so for the three who knew Miyuki's identity. They all felt the relationship was so complicated. Unheard of!
