"Kiana, come over here for a moment," Himeko called out.
Kiana gave Fu Hua an apologetic nod before jogging over. "Aunt Himeko, what's up?"
"It's not me," Himeko explained, gesturing towards Durandal. "This is Bianka 'Durandal' Ataegina. She's a transfer student and specifically asked to meet you."
"Huh?" Kiana tilted her head, staring at Durandal. "Who are you? I don't think we've met."
Durandal's brow furrowed. If she is a member, she should know my name. Leaning in slightly, she spoke in a low voice, her word a clear hint. "Chat group."
"!!!" The word was like a key. Kiana's eyes went wide. "Oh! Ohhh! So you're Durandal!" she exclaimed.
"So you finally get it, you idiot," Himeko muttered, shaking her head. "Since you two know each other, you're in charge of showing her around."
With Himeko's departure, Durandal spoke freely. "Kiana Kaslana. It seems we have much to discuss."
"Uh…" Kiana gulped, suddenly feeling the weight of the situation.
Schicksal Headquarters. Otto Apocalypse remained seated, a thoughtful smile on his lips as he swiped through holographic profiles of Kiana and Himeko. After a long silence, he switched off the display.
"A change… a variable…" he whispered. "It is all becoming more and more interesting. I wonder… who is the player standing behind you all?"
[Doomsday Chat Group]
[Kiana: Hey, hey! Big news, everyone! I met one of the group members from my world!]
[Bronya: You are referring to Lady Durandal?]
[Durandal: Kiana is telling the truth. I have met her and, through her, have confirmed the authenticity of this group.]
[Durandal: Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Bianka 'Durandal' Ataegina, an S-rank Valkyrie of Schicksal and captain of the Immortal Blades.]
[Kushina: Wow, she's so serious, you know!]
[Kiana: Wait a minute! You're an S-RANK VALKYRIE?!]
St. Freya Dormitory. "You're an S-rank Valkyrie?!" Kiana shouted, staring at Durandal, who was now a guest in their dorm.
Durandal simply met her gaze.
"The Bronya's data search confirms: Bianka 'Durandal' Ataegina, S-rank Valkyrie. The strongest active Valkyrie in Schicksal."
"The strongest!" Kiana's eyes lit up. "Durandal! You have to fight me! If I beat you, I'll be the strongest!"
"Kiana, please don't cause trouble for our guest," Mei gently chided, holding her back.
Durandal's gaze flickered towards the wary Bronya before returning to Kiana. "A spar is possible. But it seems we have more important matters to attend to…" she said, referring to the chat group.
[Aqua: Valkyrie? What's that?]
[Nami: Kiana mentions them, but I still have no idea.]
[Kiana: Hmph! Valkyries are amazing! We fight Honkai and save the world!]
[Beibei: Are you heroes?!]
[Durandal: As Valkyries, it is our duty to protect human lives.]
[Ren: Speaking of Valkyries, that world is still very strange.]
[Shiroyasha: Oh, why did you pop up now? I thought you were off enjoying yourself.]
[Ren: Enjoying myself? That seems accurate.] Ren glanced at the Seitenshi and Tendou Kisara, who were leaning on his shoulder on the large bed.
"You just killed someone and then climbed into my bed. Isn't that inappropriate?" After an intense session with the Seitenshi atop the tall tower, Kisara had arrived when he returned. She had been eager to claim her "reward."
Kisara rolled her eyes. "This was our promise. I'm just keeping my word. And you have the nerve to say it's inappropriate? Who was acting like a wild maniac just now?" Having endured his baptism for the first time, she could still feel a certain pleasant ache.
"Cough." He was a bit embarrassed by the retort.
Seeing him flustered, Kisara's lips curved into a blissful smile. The old her had completed her mission of revenge. The current her was a new life, belonging to the man before her. The Seitenshi watched this scene without jealousy, instead feeling a bit shy herself.
