As Riki suspected, his uncle was trying to contact him.
It was nighttime.
Riki woke up from his sleep after the heavy rain had subsided. He saw that the clock on his smartphone showed that it was three in the morning.
Because he had just turned on his smartphone, all the notifications popped up.
This included several missed calls from an unknown number. At first, Riki doesn't wanted to know about the unknown number. Until a message came from the same number.
That said that it was his uncle's number. As Riki had suspected, his uncle was trying to act nice first. Even the language used in the message seemed very sweet and sickening.
Riki's fingers moved on their own to block the number. He didn't want to be contacted by anyone from his uncle's family. Or anyone from his father's family, who had never been nice from the start. The ones who had been nice from the start were Riki's mother's family.
When Riki's family was struck by tragedy, they came and comforted Riki's mother.
