"Listen, Angel, I don't want to fight with you. I swear I didn't do anything. I just had dinner with a coworker, that's all. I don't care whether you believe me or not, but I'm telling you the truth," said Riki, before stepping into the elevator that had opened.
Angeline remained silent, lost in her own internal debate. She felt very emotional, but she also knew she was no one to Riki now. In fact, she was the one who had decided to distance herself from Riki, ending their relationship so abruptly.
But now she was approaching Riki. It didn't matter whether her cousin liked Riki or not. She didn't even really care if Riki liked Liz or not. She was just using Liz's name as an excuse to get angry.
"Are you coming up in the elevator or not?" asked Riki.
Angeline quickly entered the elevator.
Inside the elevator, there was no conversation between the two of them.
They were both busy with their own thoughts.
