Chapter 13 - The Hunt is Coming! The Sign of the Awakening of the Silver Moon Bloodline

The smell of gasoline became stronger and stronger, and rustling sounds were heard all around the cabin, as if someone was pouring liquid.

"Damn it! They're going to burn us alive!" Lucas' face turned pale and the blood on his wound had already coagulated.

Daniel held Gina and jumped into the cellar. There was a damp echo in the dark tunnel. The cellar was deeper than expected, and the tunnel leading to the outside was even darker.

"Woo——"

Gina suddenly let out a low, long cry in Daniel's arms. This sound was completely different from her usual soft and cute calls, it was full of wildness and majesty.

Then, her body began to change.

Her palm-sized body quickly expanded, and her snow-white fur began to glow with a silver luster, like moonlight shining on the snow. The most shocking thing was that her eyes completely changed from a gentle blue to a burning golden flame.

"This is..." Daniel's eyes widened.

"The first awakening of the Silver Moon bloodline!" Lucas' voice trembled, "The president's Wolf King bloodline is awakening!"

Gina's size had grown from a kitten to that of a small dog. She jumped down from Daniel's arms and stood firmly on all fours. Her golden eyes flashed with an ancient and mysterious light, as if she was a king from ancient times.

There was a huge roar overhead, and the whole wooden house was on fire! Orange-red flames projected down from the entrance of the cellar, and the temperature rose sharply.

"Let's go! It will be too late if we don't leave now!" Lucas urged.

But at this moment, Gina suddenly looked up and let out an earth-shaking wolf howl towards the cellar entrance!

"Ouch!"

The howl pierced through the raging flames and spread throughout the forest. The voice contained an irresistible kingly majesty, as if issuing a call to all living beings.

Daniel felt that the blood in his body was boiling, and the [Affinity for All Beasts] skill in his body seemed to be activated by something, producing an unprecedented resonance.

"This is..." He covered his chest, a strange feeling surged from the bottom of his heart.

Immediately afterwards, responses came one after another in the forest.

"Woof woof woof!" "Meow!" "Chirp!"

Not one or two, but dozens, even hundreds!

The calls of various animals merged into one, as if responding to the call of the king.

"What's going on?" The scavengers' panicked shouts came from the ground.

"boom--!"

"Damn it! Where did these beasts come from?"

"Ah! Let me go!"

Lucas and Daniel looked at each other, then climbed up to the cellar and looked out through the gap.

Countless animals appeared from nowhere around the burning wooden house: stray dogs, wild cats, squirrels, raccoons, and even a few bear cubs!

There was a strange light flashing in their eyes, and they were attacking the three scavengers frantically.

A ferocious-looking stray dog bit K's calf tightly, several wild cats scratched him, and a group of squirrels stuffed various fruits into his mask.

"Is this the true power of Beast Affinity?" Daniel watched it all in shock.

[System prompt: Congratulations host, your partner Gina's bloodline has awakened, activating your ability to summon the Beast Legion! ]

[Currently controllable number of animals: unlimited (limited to a radius of 10 kilometers)]

[Note: Bloodline awakening will cause strong energy fluctuations and may attract more powerful enemies! ]

Daniel's heart sank, but he couldn't care less now.

"Gina, let's get out!"

The silver-haired wolf nodded, her golden eyes burning with fighting spirit. She jumped up and easily jumped out of the cellar, followed closely by Daniel.

The scene outside was even more spectacular.

The three scavengers were besieged by the animal army and were in a miserable state. K's combat uniform had been torn into strips, and the other two companions were not much better off.

The funniest thing is that a little raccoon was holding K's mask tightly and its little paws were frantically digging something out of it.

"Ah! My eyes! My nose!" K screamed like a pig being slaughtered.

Daniel looked at the remaining seasoning packet in his hand and felt the urge to play a mischievous trick on him.

He quietly sprinkled some chili powder on a few squirrels, then used his mind to direct them to rush towards the scavengers' masks.

"Ahhh! What the hell is this!?"

The three killers completely collapsed. They ran away, crawling into the depths of the forest.

The crisis was resolved and the animals slowly dispersed. Only a few particularly close little animals stayed where they were, looking at Gina with admiration.

"President, you..." Lucas walked up to Gina with a complicated tone.

Gina looked at her own enlarged body, then looked at Daniel, with a trace of confusion in her eyes. She tried to jump into Daniel's arms and act like a spoiled child as before, but found that she couldn't hold him anymore.

So she rubbed Daniel's legs instead, whimpering in grievance.

"Don't worry, you're still you." Daniel squatted down and stroked her silver hair, "You've just become stronger."

Gina's golden eyes instantly turned back to a gentle blue, and her tail wagged like an electric fan.

Lucas looked at this scene with mixed feelings. The president's bloodline had awakened, which was a good thing. But at the same time, it also meant that even bigger troubles were coming.

"We have to leave here immediately." Lucas said, "The energy fluctuations of blood awakening will spread far away. It won't be long before the real strong enemy will find us."

Daniel nodded, then remembered something.

"By the way, how's things going with Henry?"

He took out his cell phone and found that the Internet had completely exploded.

Leng Yuexin's "rumor-busting" Weibo post has been forwarded over a million times, and Henry's press conference was forced to be postponed, reportedly due to a "technical failure."

But what's even more interesting is the various conspiracy theories that have emerged in the comment section.

"There's definitely something wrong with Henry! He wishes the CEO would die!"

"I've long felt that this person is unreliable. His smile is so fake!"

"CEO, please come back and take care of this ungrateful bastard!"

Daniel's lips curled up slightly. It seems that netizens still have sharp eyes.

"Let's go back to the city first." Daniel made a decision, "Since Henry wants to play, let's have some fun with him."

Lucas frowned. "Go back to the city? It's too dangerous for us."

"On the contrary, it's the safest place." A sly look flashed in Daniel's eyes. "Henry is busy trying to seize power now. He certainly didn't expect us to come to him on our own initiative. And..."

He looked at Gina, "It's time to let someone know that the true king is back."

Gina raised her head, and fire ignited in her golden eyes again, this time it was not anger, but determination.

She wants to take back everything that belongs to her.

But just as they were about to leave, a long wolf howl came from the depths of the forest. The sound was full of provocation and threat.

Then, there was another sound, and a third sound...

"Damn it, it's a pack of wolves!" Lucas's face changed drastically, "Real wild wolves are attracted here by the president's blood aura! They think this is their territory to invade!"

In the distance, pairs of green eyes lit up in the darkness and slowly approached them.
