Chapter 252 - Chapter 251: Absolute Annihilation!

Chapter 251: Absolute Annihilation!

2024-05-15 Author: Samsung Charmander (Author Name)

"Keep jumping around, monkey."

Giovanni sneered and snapped his fingers. The next second, a secret door actually appeared on the battle arena's side wall, slowly opening.

As the secret door opened completely, a Pokémon was standing inside. It was about the height of an adult man, with a body and limbs similar to a human's. Its skin was milky white, with some parts being deep purple. A long, purple tail grew from its back.

"Is that a Pokémon?"

Gary frowned. He had never seen such a peculiar-looking Pokémon.

This was because the purple and white humanoid Pokémon was covered in a significant amount of steel armor. Its chest, arms, and ankles were all covered in differently styled mechanical armor, with wires and cables connected to it, though the power source was not visible.

It even wore a steel helmet on its head, completely obscuring its face. The eye sockets of the helmet were pitch black.

"Pokédex, quick, tell me what Pokémon this is!"

Gary quickly took out his Pokédex and scanned it.

"No data found for this Pokémon. Hee hee."

The Pokédex replied.

"An unknown Pokémon..."

Gary couldn't help but frown as he put his Pokédex away.

An unknown Pokémon was either a Legendary Pokémon or an artificial Pokémon. They weren't all necessarily powerful, but each one possessed a unique ability, so he couldn't be careless.

But looking at the armor on this Pokémon before him, it should fall into the category of an artificial Pokémon.

"It has no aura, so it's probably not that strong. Shouldn't be a problem."

Gary stared intently at this armored Pokémon. It just stood there quietly, making no movements, nor did it exude the aura of a powerhouse. This greatly reassured him, making him think it was just some black technology from Team Rocket.

He himself was currently carrying two products of human black technology, Porygon. Although their power was indeed impressive, it hadn't reached a level that inspired fear.

However, the mysterious aura emanating from it made him not dare to be the slightest bit careless; he could only remain on high alert.

"A little interesting..."

In Gary's Soul Space, Green, who had been slowly meditating cross-legged, slowly stood up and opened his eyes.

Unlike Red, who spent all day rocking in a Grand Master's Chair in the Soul Space, he was constantly meditating to improve his mental awareness.

This is what a top-level expert should be doing!

Looking through Gary's eyes, he instantly recognized this Pokémon.

"Looks like I'll be able to stretch my legs today."

Green stretched his arms, a smile appearing on his lips.

"I play an Ace!" Misty announced.

"Pass," said Ash.

Outside the Viridian Gym, Ash and his two companions were sitting by the main entrance, playing Fight the Landlord.

In the Soul Space, Red, who was still rocking in his Grand Master's Chair, suddenly fell silent. He stopped moving, as if he had sensed something from within the Gym.

"This seems to be..."

A deep voice sounded in his mind. Hearing it, Red nodded lightly and said casually, "Mm, looks like you're about to get a little brother..."

Sensing the two masters in his soul having a metaphysical conversation, Ash, who was still playing cards, multi-tasked and joined the group chat.

"Hello, you two masters. Since I don't get it, I have to ask: what riddle are you two talking about?"

Red was speechless.

"By the way, why a little brother? Wouldn't a little sister be nice?"

Mewtwo was also silent.

Inside the Viridian Gym.

The armored Pokémon was now standing in front of Giovanni, its head slightly lowered. The helmet made it impossible to see if its eyes were open, and the wires connected to its armor had been temporarily removed.

"Let's begin. You can attack whenever you're ready."

Giovanni sat back down on the sofa, stroking his Persian's head. He seemed to have immense confidence in this Pokémon. Both man and cat looked at Gary as if they were looking at a dead man.

Gary swallowed hard, then waved his hand forward.

"Hmph! Just needlessly mysterious theatrics! Rhydon, use Horn Drill!!"

"ROAR!!"

The sharp horn on Rhydon's face began to spin. It lowered its head, and its heavy thighs stomped on the ground as it charged toward its target.

"Hmph." Giovanni didn't issue any commands, merely snorting coldly.

Meanwhile, a blue light suddenly flared up in the eye sockets of the armored Pokémon's helmet, as if it had been activated.

In an instant, this strange blue light enveloped Rhydon. Its unstoppable, tank-like charge came to an abrupt halt, unable to move forward or shift. Only its eyes darted around in panic.

"Swoosh!"

The next moment, Rhydon's massive body was thrown straight backward, flying past Gary's side and slamming violently into the wall behind him.

"BOOM!!"

A large pit was immediately smashed into the rear wall, sending rock fragments flying. Rhydon, at the center of the impact, was in an even more wretched state, covered in wounds. With just a single casual blow, it was already like a candle in the wind, kneeling on the ground.

"What!?"

Gary was shocked. With Rhydon's weight, even the telekinesis of a Psychic-type Pokémon should have had difficulty controlling it, let alone overpowering it as easily as tossing a pebble.

Furthermore, the terrifying aura that had accompanied the opponent's use of telekinesis made his legs tremble. For a moment, he felt a terrifying impulse to fall to his knees. The aura was too immense, as heavy as the ocean and a great mountain...

"Damn it, what kind of monster is this..."

Gary stared fixedly at the armored Pokémon before him, panting heavily to stop his trembling. This was definitely the most terrifying enemy he had ever faced!

But that terrifying power had now vanished completely. The blue light in the Pokémon's helmet was gone, and it just stood there quietly, looking unremarkable.

But now, there was no longer a trace of contempt on Gary's face. He even considered turning around and fleeing through the door.

This was not an opponent he could defeat!

"Heh, are you going to surrender? It seems I overestimated you," Giovanni taunted condescendingly. He was old and shrewd; how could he not know what was on the boy's mind? With just a word, he shattered Gary's mental fortitude.

"Farfetch'd's..."

Hearing this, the shame and anger on Gary's face immediately overwhelmed his fear. He stopped thinking about escaping and instead reached for a Poké Ball on his waist.

It was a taunt, and he fell for it every time!

"Bang!"

A flash of red light, and Gary sent out his third Pokémon. It was a Bug-type Pokémon, green all over and resembling a mantis, with sharp scythe-like arms and a resolute gaze.

Scyther!

"Hmph, the opponent is a Psychic-type, so I'll send out a Bug-type Pokémon with type effectiveness!" Gary waved his hand and shouted, "Scyther, use X-Scissor!"

"Chaa!"

Scyther let out a low cry, holding its two scythe-like arms in a cross shape in front of it. Its hind legs and wings pushed off simultaneously, and it shot forward, its speed as fast as lightning!

"Heh."

Giovanni gently sipped his red wine.

This armored Pokémon simply repeated its old trick. Its eyes once again lit up with a blue glow, instantly freezing Scyther's swift movements.

"You've said it yourself. In the face of a large level difference, type effectiveness is meaningless," Giovanni mocked.

"Swoosh!!"

The next second, Scyther's body was once again sent flying backward like a cannonball, smashing viciously into the rear wall!

And the armored Pokémon hadn't even lifted an arm.

Absolute annihilation!
