The submarine exits the underground structure.
Kyle: Okay, take her up, Woody.
Kyle notices a red cloud of blood in the distance as well as a figure.
Kyle: What the hell?
The corpse of an Perseus citizen hits the submarine as more corpses touch the submarine.
Caleb: My god.
Cassandra: Those fucking bastards.....they've killed the civilians.
Kyle: Damn it. We're too late. The Condemned are already here.
Sarah: Your Dad's still alive, Kyle. He's going to be okay.
The submarine makes topside to an underground docking area.
Caleb: So governments like Kronos and the A.O.W shipped people out here.
Caleb scoffs.
Caleb: Real nice of Pierce to keep us in the picture.
Woody: Yeah, they were worried about the people who were worth saving; people with big ol fat pockets of cash while the poor and hungry were out there dying and fending for themselves. Talk about the game of survival of the fittest.
Kyle: In the end, all perfect utopia's will fall. Ryder knew that.
Woody parks the submarine.
Kyle: Okay, let's go.
Kyle turns to Woody.
Kyle: Woody, when we're clear, get out of the caves and standby. This submarine may be our ticket out if things go south.
Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb exit the submarine as Woody waves to his allies.
Kyle: Take her down, Woody.
Woody: We'll meet up again, brother. See ya and good luck!
Woody takes the submarine down into the ocean, before a recording of a womans' voice is broadcasting throughout the station.
Female Recording: Welcome to Perseus. You have been selected for protection and-
Caleb: "Protection?" I wonder why Pierce didn't spend all his fucking time in this place.
Kyle: Sarah, you've got the map to this place so where's the maelstrom generator?
Sarah looks at a map of Perseus.
Sarah: Up there. There's a train station. We could take that and it'll take us right to the maelstrom tower.
Kyle: Okay, let's go!
Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb proceed through the docking entrance, before taking cover after noticing a Condemned patrol.
Kyle: Get down!
Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb attempt to sneak past the patrol, before a short pause as Kyle opens fire.
Kyle: Okay, fuck stealth! Kill em!
Caleb: Why didn't you say that in the first place?!
Kyle: I didn't think that far ahead!
Caleb groans, before Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb fight their way through multiple Condemned forces before reaching the train station.
Cassandra: Shit, they're so in.
Sarah: Definitely setting up home here.
Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb reach the train tracks as a train appears with a turret and fuel tank at the end. The Condemned on the turret opens fire at Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb while other Condemned Drones and Guards exit the train. Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb quickly dispose of the Condemned Drones and Guards' before Kyle shoots down the Condemned on the turret, accidently hitting the fuel tank and causing an explosion that destroys the train and blocks the tunnel.
Kyle: Whoops. That was my bad.
Caleb: Damn! The fucking train's blocking the tunnel. So where are we supposed to go now?!
Kyle: Sarah, is there a way around this?
Sarah: I don't think so.
Sarah talks into her radio.
Sarah: Sarah to Shawn. Sarah to Shawn, over.
Kyle: radio frequency's going to be a bitch til we destroy that maelstrom generator.
Sarah: Well, I'll keep our channel open just in case he does manage to hear us.
Suddenly, Andrew speaks through Sarah's radio.
Andrew: Hello? Hello? Young lady, can you hear me? Sarah, right? My daughter in law? This is Andrew Desipich. Can you hear me?
Sarah: Professor Desipich. Yes, we hear you.
Andrew: Ah, thank god. Pierce found you all. Can you see the security camera?
Sarah looks into the security camera.
Sarah: Yes, we see it. Can you see us, professor?
Andrew: Oh, my son married a very pretty young lady. Where are my sons? Kyle and Jake? Did they make it?
Sarah smiles in shyness, before noticing Kyle, who walks up to the camera.
Kyle: Dad, it's me. Kyle. I'm here. We've come to get you out.
Andrew, in his hotel room, looks at the camera and touches the screen, smiling at seeing the sight of his son.
Andrew: My youngest son. You're all grown up. It's so good to see you again. Is your brother with you? Wait, you have a Zeus Corps Tattoo? You joined them?
Kyle: Later, Dad. Where are you?
Andrew: I'm locked in my laboratory. It's in the hotel tower. I need you to get me out so I can deploy this countermeasure for the radioactive fluid. I'm almost of time.
Kyle: Don't worry about it, Dad. We'll handle the Condemned.
Andrew: No, I mean the radioactive fluid, son-the Krens organism. It's about to reach a advanced stage in its life cycle. I've got to destroy it, before it matures and wipes out what's left of Earth.
Kyle: Okay, I am so lost. "Life cycle"? Are you saying-
Andrew: The threat isn't in the radioactive fluid; it is the radioactive fluid. It's not fuel. It's a living organism and it's turning everything into Krens-including humans.
Caleb: Is he saying the radioactive fluid is alive?
Kyle: Yeah, but it's a parasite and parasite's die.
Andrew: Yes, exactly. Mina wants me to adapt the countermeasure to kill it without harming the Condemned, but there's no time for that.
Kyle: We need to shut down the maelstrom first. We've got reinforcements standing by. Where do we go?
Andrew: There's a train that'll take you straight to the facility.
Kyle: Yeah, there was a train. It's destroyed and blocking the tunnel. Any way we could bypass it?
Andrew: There should be a maintenance tunnel right next to the tunnel. I can open the door for you here. Make your way to the beach and you'll be able to see the maelstrom tower from there.
Caleb and Cassandra approach the maintenance door.
Kyle: Dad, try opening it.
Andrew presses on his computer keyboard as the maintenance door opens.
Kyle: We're in.
Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb enter the maintenance tunnel.
Caleb: It makes sense though. The radioactive fluid being alive. That's why it spread so fast. Ryan Fenix was trying to modify it, but you can never change nature.....Fuckin A.
Andrew: Kyle, you said reinforcements. Is it just you and your wife?
Kyle: No, I've got two more friends with us. Caleb and Cassandra. You'll meet them soon.
Andrew: Well, if there's just four of you, then try to locate a bull. You'll need it. This place is seriously defended.
Kyle manages to locate the Bull detained on the lift.
Kyle: Yeah, we see it.
Kyle releases the lift and enters the Bull armor, before he, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb proceed. The four then enter a cave leading to the beach, before being noticed by a Condemned Guard.
Condemned Guard: Humans!
In the bull armor, Kyle guns down the Condemned Guard.
Kyle: Yeah, humans are back, bitch.
Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb fight their way to the beach, where the maelstrom from the inside is seen in the distance.
Kyle: My god.
Cassandra: This must've been a really nice beach.
Sarah: It was a lifetime ago.
Caleb: Damn! Look at this shit! They've turned this place into a fortress!
Sarah: Check out that storm in the distance! That's gotta be the maelstrom! It's like being in the eye of the hurricane!
Cassandra: This all looks recently used. They must be setting up their main headquarters.
Kyle: We better get rid of this shit, before Shawn shows up.
Kyle talks into his radio.
Kyle: Dad, are you still hearing us?
Andrew talks through his radio.
Andrew: I can hear you, son.
Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb engage Condemned forces on the beach. During the fight, the energetic beam powering the maelstrom from the facility is seen in the distance.
Sarah: Look at that!
Manticores join the fight as Kyle, in the Bull, engages.
Sarah: Manticores! Duck!
Kyle manages to use the Bull gun turrets to gun down the Manticores. Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb come across a door with multiple giant containers blocking it.
Caleb: Goddamn! They fucking reinforced this door!
Sarah: Yeah, I don't think even the Bull will get through that.
Cassandra: Ah, shit!
Kyle: Dad, know any back doors around here. The access door is blocked.
In his lab, Andrew looks up the schematics of the beach in his office.
Andrew: There's nothing on the schematics, Kyle.
Kyle: Keep looking on the caves. Damn thing is right in front of us. We just have to keep looking.
After looking around, a cave entrance opens as Condemned Drones appear, but Kyle guns them both down using the Bull miniguns.
Kyle: Thanks for getting the door, assholes.
Sarah: Professor, we're back on the trail. The Condemned must've blasted a hole leading to the train tunnel.
Inside the train tunnel, a train passes by before more Condemned engage Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb in a gunfight with the humans as the victor. Kyle presses on the lever on the other side as the gates of the train tunnel open. As Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb travel down the tunnel, the far end gate opens as a train light is at the end of the tunnel. Caleb laughs nervously.
Caleb: Uh....anyone know what they say about the light at the end of the tunnel? It's either heaven--
Cassandra: Or a fucking train coming right for us!
Kyle: Off the track now! Get off the track!
Sarah: Kyle, get out of the Bull! Now!
Kyle exits Bull armor.
Kyle: Ah, fuck it!
Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb manage to successfully get off the track, before the train comes through the tunnel.
Caleb: That was too close.
Kyle: tell me about it. I thought I was about to meet Jesus himself.
Caleb: Uh...you don't think anyone saw us, did you?
A stray gunshot from Condemned forces misses Caleb, who ducks down behind cover.
Cassandra: That answer your question?
Kyle: Oh, fuck these motherfuckers!
Kyle, Sarah, Cassandra and Caleb fight their way through the station, before entering the loading bay of the maelstrom facility.
