Chapter 12 - Anon's Ignorance

Anon finally located the room where he last rested.

"Finally!..."

His voice trembled like steel being forced to scrape against a rough surface.

He ran with excitement and pushed the two iron doors—but they wouldn't budge.

He pressed with all his might, his face contorted in effort. He almost cracked a tooth, but the doors didn't move—not even slightly.

His strength faded. He lost his balance and slumped against the door, giving up in exhaustion.

"I wanna sleep!"

He shouted, his voice laced with disappointment.

He leaned on his knees and looked up at the small bulb on the ceiling.

"Maybe... this is the key to these doors?"

He remembered one of the facility workers he destroyed had simply stared at the ceiling—and the door opened automatically.

He squinted at the bulb, eyes almost closed.

But even after a full minute had passed, the door didn't open.

"What's wrong..."

He muttered, sadness etched across his face. His eyebrows met in a frown, and he sighed with his mouth slightly open.

From afar, a girl appeared—standing still, wearing nothing. Her body emitted a mixture of white and black, like fading ashes, blurring the space around her.

She was almost like a transparent sculpture made of gray glass.

Meanwhile, Anon was still banging on the iron door, shouting,

"Please...! Open now!"

Tears began to well in his eyes.

But he didn't notice the girl slowly approaching him.

And then, a voice echoed through the entire hall:

"You... little child... what are you?"

Anon heard it and turned to his left—he saw the girl.

Something stirred within him.

A feeling of... hope.

Yes, hope.

Hope that maybe this girl could help him open the door.

"Finally! Hey, ghosty! Can you help me?"

He asked with a wide smile that reached his eyes.

The two faced each other.

Anon's small frame was only half her height.

The girl muttered again.

"Who are you?"

Anon tilted his head and replied,

"Huh?"

"Are you okay?"

He asked with concern.

He reached out and swung his hand through her abdomen. He was intrigued—he couldn't touch her, yet he felt something. It was as if her body was made of compressed air—something real, yet untouchable.

She looked at him with white pupils and glowing blue irises.

She smiled.

And within seconds, she disappeared—leaving no trace behind.

Anon froze. His body went stiff.

Not because she vanished—he had seen stranger things—but because he sensed something... off.

It felt like part of him wasn't inside him anymore.

As if another version of himself was approaching—one with a bizarre, overwhelming presence.

Then a voice came from behind him.

"Two... no, all worlds have merged. And this reality is the ultimate one."

It was the voice of a grown man.

"TTA–T."

Words spoken like a chant.

Anon turned to look—

But before he could, the world around him transformed.

The ceiling that had been close to his face became a vast blue sky.

The cold, iron-marble floor turned into a field of soft, green grass.

Even the entire kingdom vanished before his eyes.

Birds chirped.

A river flowed with a clear melody.

The sun glowed brilliantly above, and the wind sang through the trees.

And standing before him—

Was a figure.

Someone who looked exactly like him... but older.

Wearing rugged clothes, yet radiating an immense power that even Anon couldn't comprehend.

"W-what are you!?"

He leapt into the sky to distance himself.

"Are you from a different world? Are you... me?"

He demanded, his voice now strong and commanding.

But the man just stared and smirked.

Then replied with arrogance,

"Do you really think you can defeat me with those weak little chants of yours?"

"I'm infinitely more powerful than you. And you know it."

But Anon's pride—and his childish nature—pushed him to act.

He chanted,

"Great Collapse!"

The ground below shattered into dust, leaving a massive crater.

"Shatter and die, you fake!"

But when he looked down—

The man wasn't there.

He blinked.

"Did he... die?"

Then he heard it—

"Are you an idiot?"

He turned around.

The man was right behind him—floating in midair.

Anon didn't hesitate.

He chanted again—this time a technique he had never spoken before.

"Ultimate Destruction of Existence!"

His voice was serious. Low. Commanding.

In an instant, silence fell.

A massive, dark sphere appeared—distorting time and space, ripping through reality like a living black hole.

But this was no ordinary black hole.

Anon could control it.

With a single thought, he could choose what to destroy, where to place it—without even lifting a finger.

Yet the man didn't flinch.

Even with the sphere right next to him, his clothes didn't ripple. His eyes didn't blink.

"Hahaha. What is this toy?"

He laughed, filled with confidence.

"Kid, let me show you the difference in our power.

Though I'll admit—your technique is impressive. Especially the way you paused time mid-chant."

"Here I go, kid."

He raised his hand and pointed at Anon.

Anon, unfazed by his arrogance, ordered the sphere to attack—

But the man was faster.

Before the command was even received, the black hole disappeared.

"You see that, kid?"

The arrogance in his voice remained.

Anon stood frozen in shock.

He couldn't believe it.

For the first time—his power had failed.

Doubt crept in.

Two choices lay before him:

Die... or live.

Of course, he chose to live.

He wanted to reach his dream.

He wanted to meet Deuso again—the only person he had ever truly loved and cared about.

"Hahhhh... it's so tiring…"

He landed on the grass and sat cross-legged.

The man floated down after him.

Anon looked up and asked,

"Hey, man... who are you?"

The man laughed.

"Haha! You've already noticed our similarities—but we're completely different people."

Anon raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?"

"Well... I'm from a different story. A different reality.

But when you did that thing, my entire world vanished—and only I remained.

I wandered through the emptiness…

Until I found a crater in that void, and stepped through it—and there I found you.

You must have met others too—others whose stories were destroyed."

"And the cause of it all… is you.

The center of every shattered reality."

Anon blinked. His curiosity deepened.

"Huh...? I did that? I'm the cause?"

"You've committed an unimaginable deed—

One no one could have ever foreseen.

And that deed is—"
