Chapter 230 - BRC Chapter 229 Level 365 'Your Worst Enemy'

Yang Tao thanked the man and took the documents he handed over.

"Mr. Yang, do You need any help for your trip to Level 365 this time?"

Yang Tao looked at the documents, smiled, and said, "You don't have to try to trick me into talking. Just say what You want directly. I'll tell You what I can answer, and I definitely won't say what I can't."

His little trick being exposed didn't embarrass the other party at all; instead, he spoke frankly, "Mr. Yang, I'd like to ask what You intend to do at Level 365? Our M.E.G. still has an exploration team at Level 365. If it will inconvenience You, I can notify them to withdraw to avoid being affected by anything."

"Oh, it's nothing big. I'm just going to get some Seer Tea powder. Don't worry, there won't be any problems."

Seer Tea powder?

The man was stunned, never expecting Yang Tao was after Seer Tea powder. Although it was a valuable item among Wanderers in the Backrooms, he hadn't imagined Yang Tao would want it too.

"Is this thing useful to You?"

"No, I just think it tastes very good, and I also want to see if I can catch two Sightless Seer and try to breed them."

Before he came, his backpack already contained wheat, carrots, seeds, and even golden apples.

He planned to try each one to see if Sightless Seer could truly breed. If they could, then he would achieve Seer Tea freedom in the future.

Hearing Yang Tao's wild idea, the man made no comment, as no one knew how capable or strong Yang Tao truly was.

For a moment, the man said nothing, focusing only on leading Yang Tao towards the entrance to Level 365.

Suddenly, only footsteps and the sound of Yang Tao flipping through documents remained in the empty, abandoned warehouse.

Level 365: Your Greatest Enemy

Level 365 is a complex maze composed of corridors. There are no rooms here, only mirrors. Mirrors are installed on the walls of these corridors, either on the left, right, or both sides.

The dazzling beam of a flashlight shining into the mirror-filled dark corridor transforms into a colorless kaleidoscope.

Some mirrors, like funhouse mirrors, distort everything You see.

Others are completely dark and opaque; these are called "Night Mirrors."

Wanderers who gaze at them for extended periods report experiencing mysterious nightmares related to themselves, and many of these nightmares are, in some way, inherently prophetic of the future.

A large number of Wretches and a sparse number of Fear Centipedes and Sightless Seer have been discovered within the level.

Sightless Seer can only pass through mirrors, not through any walls or doors. Like a fish out of water, its time outside a mirror is limited.

Important Reminder: Drink Almond water, and do not succumb to fear and negative emotions. Please do not gaze into any mirrors in this level; instead, touch them. If there is a mirror that can lead You out of the maze, You can quickly exit this level.

Yang Tao turned to the third page, where several bolded, enlarged black characters repeatedly warned:

Sightless Seer and Fear Centipede are now a mutually beneficial species.

Sightless Seer will guide or drive Wanderers into the traps of Fear Centipedes. If You encounter a Sightless Seer, immediately hide in the nearest elevator.

After reading all the information, Yang Tao looked up at the man in front of him and said, "Logically speaking, shouldn't such important information be written at the beginning?"

The man forced a helpless smile and said, "This information was just reported today. The Mirror Team found a Wanderer captured by a Fear Centipede and Sightless Seer..."

"We're here."

Hearing the man's words, Yang Tao nodded slightly. It was normal for new information not to be included in the main text.

Yang Tao returned the documents to the other party and looked up at the area in front of him. In the empty, abandoned warehouse, there was a man-made house.

"This is the closest entrance. The other entrance is quite far away."

"You've really gone to a lot of trouble."

"You're welcome. I hope Mr. Yang will take care of those Wanderers in danger in the Backrooms in the future."

Yang Tao smiled and said, "Of course."

Walking into the house, Yang Tao saw the mirror hanging on the wall. The mirror was large, much like the fitting room mirrors found on walls or pillars in shopping malls.

However, this mirror only reflected the environment inside the room; his and the others' figures did not appear within it.

He walked to the mirror, extended his hand, and his palm disappeared into the mirror, causing ripples to appear.

He turned his head to look at the man, smiled, and said, "I'm going first. You can go back now."

With that, Yang Tao walked directly into the mirror.

It felt like passing through a thin film, and he arrived in an unfamiliar corridor. The hallway wasn't particularly bright, but it was enough to see the surroundings clearly.

The hallway walls were painted white, looking very clean and dry, and the floor was a mix of tile and linoleum.

On both sides of this gallery-like corridor were various mirrors: long, short, square, round, a dazzling array of styles.

Yang Tao glanced at the mini-map but found no trace of any Entity.

"I wonder how I can lure out a Sightless Seer..."

He scanned the surrounding mirrors but found no suspicious targets. He followed the mirrors deeper into the hallway.

In the silent environment, only the sound of his footsteps on the floor could be heard. This feeling of silence reminded him of the happy times in the Bedrock world at the beginning.

"I hope my hundredfold mob spawn effect will work on this level..."

Soon, a fork in the road appeared ahead. Wandering aimlessly, he didn't hesitate, directly turning and walking deeper into the new corridor.

After about ten minutes of walking, Yang Tao, who was still moving forward, suddenly stopped, took two steps back, and looked into the mirror.

His figure was clearly reflected within it.

Looking at himself in the mirror, a smile appeared on Yang Tao's face.

'Here it comes...'

His reflection in the mirror did not show any expression along with him; it remained coldly staring at him.

Suddenly, his reflection in the mirror lunged forward, pressing its hands against the mirror and opening its mouth wide to emit a piercing scream.

Yang Tao, who was contemplating how to lure out the Entity causing trouble in the mirror, looked slightly up at the mirror, showing no sign of fear.

When he noticed that the scene in the mirror was off, he had already prepared himself to be startled.

He saw 'himself' in the mirror with a distorted face and white eyes.

"That's it? A haunted house for ten yuan is more exciting than this..."

He reached out to touch the mirror, but all he felt was the cold glass surface.

Seeing that this method didn't work, Yang Tao then gently tapped the mirror with his hand, and cracks gradually appeared.

Bang.

As the cracks covered the mirror, a translucent jellyfish was squeezed out of the 'space'.

"Sightless Seer?!"
