Chapter 13 - Episode 13: Trap the Snake

Rain hit the city like warning shots.

Lwandile loaded his gun with precision — same way he used to before every major job, back in the days when he ruled the streets. Lynn watched him from across the room.

> "You sure you're ready to go back to that life?" she asked.

> "For you?" He looked up. "I never really left."

Lynn's plan was simple: they'd leak fake intel about a secret meeting she was having with a rival investor. Word would reach Thabiso. He'd come running to sabotage it — and they'd be waiting.

> "We hit him with surveillance, evidence, witnesses. He falls tonight," she said.

Lwandile nodded. "Let's go hunt."

Location: Old Observatory Warehouse – 11:27 p.m.

The setup was perfect.

Lights out. Cameras hidden. Men in place. Lynn stood alone under a flickering bulb — playing bait.

Footsteps. Then voices.

> "You really thought you'd win, Lynn?" Thabiso's voice echoed.

He stepped out of the shadows — not alone.

Behind him: two armed guards and... her cousin, Naledi?

> "You brought family into this?" Lynn hissed.

> "She brought herself," Thabiso smirked. "Blood doesn't always mean loyalty."

Lwandile stepped out behind them, gun raised.

> "I suggest everyone lowers their weapons before this turns into a funeral."

But it was too late.

Bang!

One shot rang out. Screams. Lynn ducked. Glass shattered.

Naledi was hit — but not dead.

> "She wasn't meant to be here!" Lynn shouted.

Chaos erupted. Thabiso fled.

Back at the villa

Lynn pressed ice to her face, shaken.

> "He's not just trying to ruin us," she whispered. "He's trying to destroy everything I love."

Lwandile sat beside her, blood on his sleeve, rage in his eyes.

> "Then we don't wait anymore," he said. "Next episode… we finish him."
