🧟‍♂️ Chapter 1: New Day, New World

This is the beginning of a unique take on The Walking Dead universe. It's not your usual zombie survival tale. Think of it as:One guy + a very careless and cute system + a world about to collapse = chaos, sarcasm, and maybe... who knows what?

Chapter 1 (First Finalized Version)

Original Fan-fic TWD: Titans on the Move

Chapter 1: New Day, New World

Zombies, man-eating zombies, abominations that only look good in fiction, not reality.

When I was a kid, I was afraid of them. I was so afraid that every night I would double-check the windows, the door of the house, and always keep a hammer and a knife under my pillow, in fear that maybe they might become real.

But when I grew up, I realized zombies are not real, they do not exist, and biology does not work like that.

So why? Why in the name of the holy mother of God am I in this universe of The Walking Dead?

One day, I was in my home binge-watching YouTube shorts till 3:00 AM in the morning, and the next day, when I woke up, I was in the afterlife given the option to go to a world of my choice.

I chose two worlds for random hopping, and now I am here in this zombie universe, which I rejected firstly. I was here in a different room, in a different country, hell, in a different universe altogether.

Now you guys must be wondering and asking, "Michael, how do you know that you are in the TWD universe exactly?"

Well, because first of all, Atlanta exists here, there are CDC websites, and most importantly, because of this floating glowing tablet screen-like thing in front of me.

"Michael, if you are done monologuing, can we get to serious work?" came the voice, a mix between manly and feminine voice but mostly leaning toward female, from the screen.

"I am not monologuing, I am just doubting all life choices I made in my life to get dropped in this world that's going to be a pile of shit in the coming years," I told the screen in disappointment right away while lying in this luxurious room, with a bed on which at least five people can sleep comfortably.

The screen's voice turned low in an apologetic tone. "Listen, I made a mistake, a big mistake, and I am sorry for it, all right? But you can't keep sulking like that forever. It's a new world, a new day, and you have me as your trusted friend, companion, emotional support, and in whatever way you want."

'Whatever way, huh? It is sentient and sounds female enough. No wait, Michael, be serious.' I got back to my senses as I slapped my head to get back into mode.

"Trusted?" Now that pissed me off. "Listen, I made a mistake trusting you back there. You told me, crying, literally clutching my leg like a koala, to take you as my system. And I took pity on you, and I just felt sad because you were alone there, and you know what you did in return? Messed up the first thing."

Back there in the afterlife, I was given a choice to choose a system of my own, and I was first inclined to take a non-sentient one.

But this one system suddenly leaped on me and started crying tears like a fountain, about being abandoned, alone, nobody to talk to, and saying no one chooses sentient systems anymore, and so I took pity on it.

Sigh, well, at least not everything is bad. For all I know, it's two whole years before the TWD story officially kicks off.

"I am sorry, okay please, I am begging you," the system continued apologizing, but seeing me not budge, it changed tone and pulled the screen to my face and said, "How about this? As compensation you rightfully deserve for dropping you in a different world universe than you wanted, you get a double package bonus, all right? Happy? Come on, cheer up, man," the system spoke, telling me.

At that offer, I sat up immediately as if I got a booster on my back, and started checking everything like I got Sharingan on me like Madara. 'Heh, plan worked successfully. After such a fuck I deserve some compensation.'

"Oh ho! This is good, seriously, this is some good stuff." As I scrolled through all options in this shopping tier list, I realized I wasn't as screwed up as I thought. This was great stuff.

"Look at this, sci-fi weapons, armors, melee weapons, oh look at this! Knowledge chips and books on everything: agriculture, metal handling, and there's more!" Hahaha, well looks like my system didn't fuck me up completely. That was good.

"See, I told you, you were just overreacting," the system spoke beside me.

I replied sarcastically, "Well, who wouldn't when they realize they get dropped in a zom— wait, is this real?" I paused between as I looked at the item shown in the list.

"Wait, I remember this. Isn't this from Marvel? This is a Quinjet, right?" I spoke in a mix of shock, surprise, and uncontrolled cheeriness kicking in me.

The system, with its own separate screen turned towards me and said, "Well, yes, you do have access to technology from fiction worlds. Though it's restricted, given your world level, you know? Don't want you going around nuking planets on Day 1 with a Death Star."

System finished telling me, and frankly, I get it. I mean, for now, I couldn't care less about some Death Star because whatever was available in the access zone was more than enough to take on this world.

While I was scrolling through all the options, I kept taking notes and making a save for later, and bookmarking what I thought I would need for now and later. Conveniently, this tablet screen was very multifunctional and easy to use.

'Hmm, wow, they have several versions of Batmobiles here, and freeze guns with so many variants. Hmm? A sword? Well, looks good enough by its rating of 4.8 stars. Let's see.'

"Holy shit! A Custodian spear, goddamn! Hey, why is this here? Shouldn't it be on the upper level?" I turned toward the system screen, asking with genuine curiosity, because Custodian spears are not just spears—these are weapons that can even take on the fiercest damned abomination from the Warp, but it's here, why?

The system looked at the shopping screen and turned to me and said, "Well, you ain't no Custodian, and frankly you don't have Warp or whatever here, so it functionally remains limited given its basic use will be more than enough anywhere in many universes," the system explained to me.

"Hmm, you do have a point. Without Warp's damned, it's a very good weapon, and there are no aliens like Necrons, Eldar, or Warp abominations here, so yeah, got it," I mused in understanding the logic of the shopping system.

'Wait, would there be Doraemon gadgets here? Should be at least some. Well, there is a search icon here.' Convenient. Whoever made this was one hell of a good person at his job.

Well, let's keep moving. Hmm, high-tech guns, machinery, body armor that protects every inch of the body, just like Astartes power armors and Iron Man.

Oh, there's even exoskeletons, huhu, mini mechs. As I kept scrolling, my eyes landed on them: giant Marvel Titans of their own, vehicles so gigantic they dwarfed houses and buildings. Normally, you can only see such things on mining or construction sites.

Several meters tall, tires so big they can crush thousands of zombies like paste with them, not even being able to do anything.

"He-he, he-he, hahaha!" I couldn't help but let out a full-blown laugh I was holding back.

"Yes! Yes! Fuck yeah, this is what I am talking about, baby! You know, system, you ain't no trash, you're great, just fucking great! Come here, let me give you a kiss," I said in exploded excitement, doing what I would never do.

As I brought the system voice screen close and gave it a good smooch, "Wait, wait, no, no, no, don't do it! Oh, oh no, yamete kudasai, nooo, my purity!"

Hmph, drama queen, always exaggerating. How did I forget so quickly? This system is such a drama queen. It's not like we're kissing mouth to mouth, seriously.

Hah, sigh. I still miss not going to my original destination of the One Piece or One Punch Man world. It's not like I was going there for women or anything. Nope, definitely not.

There is so much to do there: adventure in sea, land, sky, action, drama, and people. Oda really created a masterpiece. Well, beautiful, voluptuous masterpiece of wom— I mean places, people, beautiful people. Yep, just people.

And honestly, meeting people like Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Shane, and Dale isn't so bad. It's a different experience of its own. Just have to make sure TWD logic doesn't fuck things up, and if possible, better to have them than that damn Lori, whatever damn house-breaker.

Seriously, what was the need to lie to Rick about Shane on the farm? Fucking bitch.

But for now, it doesn't matter. What happened, happened. No point crying over spilled milk. Baba used to say to make the best out of any situation, and I am gonna do just that.

'Sigh, Baba, it would have been so great if you were here. Haa, at least I made him proud by getting a good job and settling in life at the age of just 30.' I thought as some pre cum of tears came in my eyes.

'I just don't have a wife. Haa, sigh. Well, the world ain't so small now, maybe in the future.'

Slurrrrpppp!!

And there goes my sad phase mood. I broke away from my thought as I came back to thought, hearing a drinking sound coming from the system screen. "Are you drinking something?"

The system screen turned towards me with its emoji face, turning towards me with a sipping emoji animation. "Oh yeah, you want it? It's booze, actual, authentic, right from Shakky's bar from the One Piece world. Hmm?"

'Well, I guess this is my life now. Take it too seriously, becomes shit. Hmff, haa. Ah well, at least I have someone to talk to openly,' I thought, letting out a mild chuckle at this bizarre situation, and finding myself in.

'Looks like life is going to be a roller coaster from now on, well, definitely a good change from my monotonous life sitting at home and just watching YouTube, reading novels, fics anime. Sigh, things do change when you are left alone in the house, don't they.'

I tapped my head as I got out of my thoughts, "Well, you said right, no point in sulking, it's a new day and and new world, can't waste away in sad monologuing."

"Yo system, bring it on and get some good snacks too, today we're gonna have a party," I told it.

And then, as I begin adjusting the sofa, TV, and opening the giant retractable window on the 2nd floor of this big private mansion.

Turns out, this big place is right out of some billionaire's dream personal mansion, several acres of land: a personal garden, lake, fountains, and mansion, and some other buildings, a garage, and two private runways with two customized planes.

'And this is mine, now,' I muse in happiness as I look at details and 3d and 2d descriptions about my private property locations and their surrounding areas, and several other details.

'Hah, life ain't so bad now, is it?. I just need to stop overreacting to everything.'

Just as I finished setting up everything for a good snack night, a voice came from the system. "Here, take this. All is authentic stuff."

The voice said as it dropped all the snacks on the table, and I noticed it, a hand coming out of the screen as the small tablet screen enlarged.

As what or who came out took my breath away, God, I don't care how I look right now.

From the pink-purple mixed screen, first came the upper body. She carried in her hand at least five bottles and some snacks. She is beautiful, with a tomboy cut, blonde hair with a tinge of red and blue streaks here and there.

She has a bit of athletic and good muscular build, wearing a T-shirt that, due to her large bust size, left an open space about her belly button region, wearing short pants going just over little knee length.

It seems my system loves to wear loose clothes.

'Wait, are those— holy shit, no bra, Good God, lady.' She is tall, at least taller than me. I am 6 feet 4 inches, but she is taller than me. At least tall enough to have her chin easily over my head.

"Hmm, hey, help me out here, all right? Don't gawk like an owl and stand there." Her voice brought me out of my thoughts as I finally heard her voice clearly—feminine, soft, yet with weight in it.

God, she is a semi-muscular, athletic tomboy. Is this a signal from god?

(A/N - GOD: Go ahead, my boy, I built this girl different.)

Oh yeah, baby! No wait, she can be an android or a spirit type thing, but she is female, so...

"Are you coming or not?" she asks finally with exasperation, sighing at me just standing there gawking like a silly owl while she has already set up glasses and plates for snacks.

"Geez, I have to do everything myself. Hmph, lazy ass."

'Wow, her attitude changed quickly, huh, well, I wouldn't mind having a mix of tomboy, athletic, and big momm-'

"Leave it. How about for today we just party—you, me, good booze, and this good night filled with stars." Stars, huh? Seems I am a bit far from the city to see so many stars clearly, really, this is great to have a curved window view till the roof.

'Again, my system did a great job at choosing the base home location. Wait, am I boasting too much about the system just because she is a female?'

I come out of my thoughts, being amused by myself and looking at the system now fully seated on the sofa, turning to switch on the TV to select a new James Gunn movie, 'Superman'?

"And here I thought I'll never get to watch the ending of One Piece."

System ears perked up as she turned, lifting her head towards me, " Hmm, did you say something?"

'Cute, she's very cute. Well, forget it, she's my system, at the end of the day.'

"No, nothing," I replied simply.

"Leave it, let's get the party started! You don't know how long I waited for this day. And by the way, my name is actually [have to think of some name, maybe Japanese]," the system said excitedly and introduced herself with her name.

"Likewise, you already know me. I am Michael, your host, and I think we'll have a great time together from today on," I said, as for some reason I imagined the future of what we'll do together.

'God made us men so simple. Hf ha-ha.'

"Here's a toast to us—new day, new world," I said for the first time, giving a toast to someone, like this.

"Hihi, you too—new world, new day," she replied, too, clanking our glasses, as the party goes on with just us two.

Well, seems we have a great future ahead. Truly new day, a new world, and a new friend, albeit careless and cute.
