Chapter 136 - Chapter 136: The Ignorant Youth Enel

When Michael had first led his team to Alabasta, he had already spoken with Issho.

He had asked him to search for Sky Islands.

But not the massive so-called "Land of the Gods," rather, just a small sky island—Birka.

The hometown of that guy Enel.

And Issho had not failed in his task. Using the levitating powers of the Gravity Fruit along with his uniquely vast Observation Haki, after passing by countless wild sky islands, he finally found this small island called Birka.

This place was completely cut off from the world, so much so that it hadn't even come into contact with sky island shells. People lived here in an almost primitive state.

At first, Issho hadn't understood why Michael had wanted him to specifically search for this little island.

But today, he understood.

It turned out Michael had come here because of him.

"Wait, wait, wait! People living on clouds, I won't even comment on that right now!" Smoker stood on the floating Seraphim, staring in disbelief at the small island Birka in the distance.

"The most powerful Logia Fruit in all of legend, and it's here, in a place like this!? No wonder it remained just a legend all these years!"

"Hina has said it many times—Smoker should read more books. Ignorance is truly terrifying!" Hina pouted.

"Surely you've at least heard the story of the great liar Noland and the Golden City?"

"Uh… wasn't that just a fairy tale?" Shu said awkwardly, sweating a little. "Don't tell me you're saying this is the vanished Golden City from the legends?"

"Though there's no absolute proof," Stella nodded, "historians once compared maps of Jaya from around 400 years ago and found a large section missing. Combined with the existence of the 'giant Knock Up Stream' near Jaya, the prevailing theory is that the Golden City was blasted up to the Sky Islands… but of course, not here."

"An academic explanation like that can never spread as widely as a popular fairy tale."

Sighing, Stella turned her gaze toward the fading, world-shattering thunder.

"Looks like Michael is about to settle everything."

Because of Stella's words, everyone's attention shifted back to the battlefield ahead.

And Enel frowned, staring at the angel who had suddenly appeared.

"You are… a native of the Land of the Gods? No, their wings are mere ornaments. They couldn't possibly be used for flight."

"Oh? So that means you've left Birka before, and not just once, right?" Michael looked at Enel with a thoughtful expression. "Otherwise, you wouldn't know those things you just said."

"So what if I have?" Enel glared coldly at the Birkans protected by the Holy Light. They huddled together, clinging to each other, looking at him with eyes full of fear and cowardice…

Which only made him feel wave after wave of irritation.

"That proves you're not as primitive as these closed-off, ignorant Birkans. You can still be reasoned with." As Michael spoke, his wings beat several times, sending forth Holy Flames like arrows that shattered Enel's released two hundred million volts of lightning.

"Boring." Enel's eyes were utterly devoid of interest. "I don't know where you've come from, but I have no interest in your so-called 'reason.'"

Michael smiled.

"Then are you not even interested in a new world?"

At those words, Enel's eyes widened.

In the next instant, he turned into lightning, flashing before Michael in a heartbeat.

Even with Michael's current strength, he couldn't help but reassess Enel's fruit powers.

That speed just now…

Not much slower than Kizaru.

But in terms of destructive power and range, it was clearly above Kizaru's Glint-Glint Fruit.

Truly worthy of the title of the strongest Logia Fruit in legend.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Exactly what it sounds like." Michael pointed at the crack blasted open by Enel's lightning. "From here, you can see the endless White Sea… but I come from beneath it."

"The White Sea… beneath it?" Enel's previously lifeless eyes suddenly lit up with vitality. "You mean you're from the legendary… Blue Sea?"

His Mantra had already picked up the Seraphim and the Secret Special Force crew stationed at the edge of Birka.

At first, he had been puzzled. Those strange steel ships and the bizarre gull-shaped anchors on them were things never before seen above the White Sea.

He had assumed they came from other, unknown sky islands—but now, it turned out they were from the legendary Blue Sea?

That was the stuff of myths!

According to some ancient records, the "Land of the Gods" had actually originated from the Blue Sea!

"That's right. On the Blue Sea, the population is far greater than above the White Sea. The so-called Land of the Gods is nothing more than part of a massive island down there." Michael, skilled at exploiting the ignorance of bumpkins, leaned into the tactic of information disparity. "And you… you won't be alone anymore."

"I won't… be alone anymore?"

"You possess great power, but you've never met anyone who could compare to you… That feeling, it hurts, doesn't it?" Michael smiled cunningly. "But on the Blue Sea, there are countless people as strong as you, and even stronger!"

"Uh, what's a river? And what's a crucian carp?" Enel frowned at Michael's sudden strange words.

"Never mind! Just know there are many powerful people there!"

"Powerful people!"

In the end, that was the only phrase Enel latched onto.

Originally, after destroying Birka, Enel had planned to make another trip to the Land of the Gods.

He wanted to know more and more who was stronger—himself, or the so-called "gods."

But now… his goal shifted silently.

"Excellent. Then I must go to the Blue Sea and rule the entire world!" Enel looked at Michael. "And you—I will grant you the highest authority, second only to God!"

Michael twitched at the corner of his mouth.

Honestly, what Enel promised did kind of fit his name.

But still…

"Funny thing, Enel."

"I was thinking the same as you—about making you my subordinate…"

Before the words had even finished, Michael extended his hands.

In an instant, his fists were coated with Armament Haki.

A sudden strike, with ultimate strength and speed, smashed into Enel's chest and stomach.

Enel's eyes bulged wide, and he collapsed instantly, caught in Michael's arms.

"Beating up an ignorant youth really is satisfying."
