Anthony muttered "you disgust me"
"Ben where are you..." Mark asked in a worried tone.
"is Ben in today...." Miss Rena asked
"that's Ben right, he looked kinda changed some how too" a girl pointed out
"hey Ben what's..... Up" Mark said as Ben pass him to sit down"I said get the f*ck away from me"
"hey Kelly can we exchange sits, someone doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut for a minute or Two"
"is Ben in class today" he asked
A student raised his hand up to signal the lecturer "sir am here"
"OK but hope you are good now, no complications right" "no complications sir, am all good"
"I can't loose Ben not now that we have come this far"

"so how is your working with this Ben of a guy going huh lover boy" a girl asked as she walk with a guy next to her to class
"what can I say, it is progressing great I'll say" the guy said with a cheesy smile on his face
They took their sits and the girl face the back where the guy was sitting "great huh, I see now juicy details" she said eager to hear the whole story
"well Rachel, for your information you like to be nosey and it is not good for your health I must say" the guy said looking at her waiting for the girl named Rachel expression that will show on her face
"since when did you became a doctor huh, Anthony if you don't tell me how things are going am going to ignore you for the whole semester just try me" Rachel threatened
Anthony raised his hands up as a sign of surrendering to the girl "OK ok ok, I'll tell you..... Jezz calm down rach the train"
"so spill the beans am waiting....." Rachel said listening attentively to what Anthony has to say
"well it started at the party I got his number on my way out the hallway that leads to the restroom...." and Anthony began telling Rachel his encounter and how it all leads to this point
After what seems like 8 minutes later with the summary Anthony could come up with
" wow!!!! Now you got your chance right, have you asked him out yet, have you confessed your love for him tell me am eager to know"
"no OK, I think this is not the right time to tell him" Anthony said as he let out a sign of frustration
"and your reason is, enlighten me now why you can not use this as your chance???" Rachel asked confused
"look, he just broke up with his boyfriend..... I don't know if he or they broke up but he told the guy what is his name again Ma.. Ma.... Mark, yes Mark not to call him or text him or even get close to him"
"that is break up language for me, if that is not a break up then I don't know what is OK" Rachel still insists
"look what am saying now is it's too soon OK.... Let him take his time to relax and come out of that first before I ask him out" Anthony said looking at Rachel who is in front of him
She had an understanding face "OK I get it now but don't you dare waste time OK or I will tell him myself" she said playing punches with Anthony on his arm
"I've heard you..... Mother" he replied with a playful voice
"we'll talk more on this class is about to start and don't go running off to club activities you hear me Anthony or you are dead meat I tell you, dead meat" Rachel threatened Anthony again
"your wish is my command your mistress" Anthony said playfully while taking his books out for the first lesson of the day....

In another university there were whispers of an accident that went on and on in the entire faculties and departments
"I saw the cold face Ben gave Mark yesterday" someone said
"I saw it too but I did know what happened between them do you?" another ask
For this long Ben has been avoiding Mark and his attempts for apologies, he was still mad at him and he needed space to himself to know if he still has feelings for Mark or if he should let go after the kiss at the party and Mark's words that hurt him that night
At debate rehearsal one of the members of the team went to talk with Ben
"hey I need to talk to you" the boy named kelly
"yeah, what do you want to talk about?" Ben asked curious to know what the other boy wants to know and if he has the answers to the question
"Why are you being cold to Mark?" the boy asked "..... What"
"he's been down lately and he's not or should I say you both are not flowing in the rehearsals like before when both of you are to act with each other, it like there is something... A space between you two and it is affecting the playout" Kelly said wanting answers
Ben looked at the boy in front of him and just mentioned few words before walking out of the boy's presence
"I can't tell OK, so please live me be"
This response puzzled Kelly and with this he definitely knew something was up between the two and he wasn't the type to worry about things "oh well it is non of my problem, all I have to do is act my little scene and get off stage"
Ben was walking out of the auditorium when he bumped into Mark
The larger man held him to his body so the other man couldn't fall down from the impact of the force.
"are you OK Benny, hope no injuries" Mark was asking but Ben just stood there with his mind somewhere else "Ben are you OK?" Mark asked again
"yeahh....yeah am good, thanks" and he walked off without looking back at Mark or anyone on the hallways
But that little communication and act didn't go unnoticed by Anthony
"what is he up to, well am still gonna have him any way not that what they had matter anymore" he said as he walked the way out with Rachel who was talking to him but he paid no held to her words for that little period.
On his way out Ben was still having inner fights with his self "why, why, why was he here... Am angry with him but why is my heart still soft around him. It is difficult to hold myself when he is around or when am around him or him around me, am I doing the right thing".
On his way out the door Samantha held him back, signed and looked at her in a very discomforted way "what do you want from me Sam....." Mark asked
"look, am sorry what I did at the party at that time.... Am sorry for everything too OK I messed up everything you have with Ben am sorry" she said apologetically
"look Sam not now OK, I need to clear the air between me and Ben so please won't you get the f*ck away from me" he said looking angrily as he walks away
Samantha was left on the hallways which was silent. She was there in thoughts still standing there "this all happened all because I loved you and I still am" she said trying to hold in her tears.....
The weekends was fast approaching as time seems to hold no wait as it went down faster than normal, as if it knew the awkwardness that filled the air.
Mark was on his way out the door when he saw Ben sitting at their favourite spot when they were still together and not fighting.
He was taking in the beautiful view of the campus as it hold the silent of the evening and the whispers of the wind as it blew from almost all directions but calmly..... It felt so comforting for Ben as he sat down there with no care, no worries.
Mark wanting to approach but kicked against it as he saw just how peaceful Ben looked at the moment, but he promised himself one thing and that was that he hasn't given up yet in getting Ben back..... Not just because he loved him but cause he feels at peace when he's around Ben, he feels himself and he felt happy so he was not willing to give up.
"Am not ready, yeah.... Not ready just yet in giving up on what we had" Mark said in a whisper as he turn and left.
Ben on the other hand felt the same way but he felt hurt and depressed that it just hard for him to go back to Mark just yet, he has to figure things out and find where he stands then he will know then what to do.
Just then a phone call came in as he picked up his phone from the ground filled with grasses and flowers planted in the school.....
"hello Anthony... What's up???" he asked and await the answer to his question from Anthony who called
"ohh.... It is nothing special but I just want to tell you or ask you if you want to hangout with me later, just the two of us"
Ben was short of words that he kept silent for a while..... "OK text me the address of the meeting place and I will be right there"
"OK, see you later then... and one more thing time will be 8:30 OK"
"alright dad, see you later then" he said with a big smile on his face
"see you then.... love"
The call ended with Ben being puzzled with the word he heard from the phone.....
"love, was he talking to me or he was talking to someone else.... Love hum" he got up and started walking to his hostel dorm to dress up for later.
8:30 pm....
Ben was waiting patiently for Anthony at the said spot they agreed on through text
"he's running late, but me myself just got here like 10 minutes ago so who am I to judge someone else" he told himself as he looked over to the phone for the time or any update from Anthony

"Hey, am so sorry that am late I had to do something urgent" Anthony said as approached Ben
"ohh it is nothing, I myself just got here not to quite long OK" Ben said with a little smile "but if I may ask why did you call me out by this time, anything happened????" he the asked
Anthony smiling said "I wanted us to hangout, ever since we became friends we haven't hanged out together, so I thought we should today"
"OK, where do we start???" he asked
"we will start with eating first, and then we move to the movies they are bringing out this new anime and I really want to watch it with you"
With a smile Ben said "Hmm I don't mind that but I am not a fan of anime, I just watch it sometimes, but if you want to watch it with me who am I to say no to your request"
"then let's go shall we love"
"yeah, let's go have fun" Ben said looking at Anthony with a little reddish face
This action caught Anthony that he blurted out words "you look beautiful when you blush, and I didn't tell you.... You have a nice outfit which add up to your charm"
"really, then thanks..... You too look good yourself" he said looking at another side...
"really cute"
They had a meal together, which was splendid. The atmosphere was nice and great, the service were good too and the food was to die for.
During their meal Ben will make series of sounds that Drew Anthony who found it cute at his own end... "the food is great, and it added up well with the drinks too" Ben complemented the food as he ate.
After that they got out of the restaurant and made there way to the cinema to watch the new released anime that Anthony really wanted to watch.....
In the long run, found it interesting too that both of them were lost in this very anime that they lost track of time.
When the whole event was over, it was time for Ben to live for his hostel dorm. They made their way to the glass doors but Ben missed a step on his way... But Anthony held him closer to himself as a saving guard saving someone from not falling to the ground or floor.
"thanks, I owe you one" Ben replied with a sadistic smile on his face while complaining "I don't know what is wrong with me lately..." but Anthony cut in with his own words
"it's OK Ben, no one is perfect okjust chill"
"easy for you to say.... Lately I've been a completel mess..." "Ben it's OK" "no it's not OK ever since that day I have not been myself.... No matter how I try to put up with it I can't get over it...it...it..... It" Ben was cut off with a kiss from Anthony.
Both guys stood there in the middle of the night with the moon light shining on them but it was cut short with Ben sudden break.....
He pulled away and held his lips "am so so so sorry, it won't happen again, am sorry" Ben said as he stepped back a bit
"Ben it's not your fault it's mine, I've been in love with you for a long time now and I didn't know how to tell you OK..... But... But now I was just moved to do what I did and I didn't regret it, in fact I enjoyed it and today with you..... Every single time spent with you was wonderful so," Anthony hesitated there when he looked at Ben's face
" so what Anthony "Ben was inquiring "say it am all ears"
"I.... I... I love you Ben, and I want you to be my boyfriend!!!!!" Anthony said it out aloud
"(laughs) sorry, sorry you sounded like a little 3rd grader confessing his love for his crush....." Ben continued to laugh but ended it a few moments later.
" look Anthony I know you just confessed about your love for me but... But I can't go with it, like I can't love you back am sorry, my heart is still for one person and you know who that it even if we had an issue he still got my heart OK so we can't be together... I will be lying to myself and hurting you if am to accept to your love for me without giving you mine it will be soul crushing if I do that so am ooooo sorry for that, if you hate me now it is fine cause I deserved it for leading you on but I can't be that person in your life right now..... I still want us to remain friends if that is OK with you..... "Ben said with a wary smile
"you didn't even say you will think things through, you told me directly which I like about you... But you see this friendship you just proposed I need to think about it OK, cause am in love with you and I know that if I just continue seeing you I will do something that I and you will regret so I will need some time to think this through and thanks for the time I've spent with you..... Bye Ben" and with that Anthony left Ben here no his own
"Anthony am sorry!!!!!" Ben shouted out as little tears dropped down his face but Anthony didn't answer his words cause they hurt him deeply..... He continue walking away from Ben with tears down his face and he muttered some words "I lost him..... I can't be the one for him even if he seems lonely, damn he still loves that guy even with all the sh*ts going on between them"..... (sob) "this hurt really.... It does".
Ben was left to stand there having tears in his eyes but he held it back and looked for a taxi so he could go back to his dorm cause it was dark out and with him still on that road it was dangerous.... So he got stopped a taxi and got in
"where to, young sir" "oh just keep driving sir" and that was all he could say at the moment.
With this hurt going on between Ben and Anthony will there be any friendship between them? Will there be just friends or will that love for Ben still be there if they manage to resolve things..... There is only one way to find out....
