Luis grinned menacingly as he held the hammer, saying, "People who come looking for my trouble never have a good ending."
"You bastard... what did you do to me?!"
Before Leok could continue screaming, Luis froze his time once again. At that moment, Leok's face had turned a deathly pale, somewhat twisted in agony.
Luis didn't have the mindset to overthink things; the feeling of absolute silence throughout the entire world was just too terrifying.
He immediately stepped forward, straightened Leok's body, gripped the steering wheel with both hands and cranked it all the way to the right, then stomped on the accelerator pedal with his foot, flooring it.
The car was started, but even with the pedal floored, the vehicle didn't move. Time hadn't just stopped for living things; the motion of these inanimate objects was frozen too, which was especially frightening.
