Chapter 6 - Are you really going to use magic to attack me?

[You are approaching the end of the First Divine Revelation Day]

[Current progress: 2%]

When he noticed the progress bar had increased, that voice reappeared in his mind.

He had only attended one class—why had the progress bar increased?

What exactly is the end of the First Divine Revelation Day?

More importantly, there was no reward either—could it be that the progress bar hadn't increased enough? Su En furrowed his brows slightly, and suddenly an idea popped into his mind.

Then, he silently repeated a few words in his mind:

"Hey? Can you hear me? Can you tell me what the hell is going on here? Why did the progress bar increase? Hey?" Clearly, this was futile. The magnetic female voice did not respond to Su En's chaotic inner monologue. "Let's go."

Latina tidied up her books, placed them in the magical waist pouch Su En had recently purchased for her, then took Su En's hand and walked away. Su En was now somewhat perplexed by this silver-haired girl before him. Just a few days ago, she had seemed determined to fight him to the death, unwilling to spare him.

Latina smacked her lips, as if sensing Su En's inner thoughts. "Let's be reasonable—who would turn down a meal? You're just a long-term meal ticket!" Latina thought to herself, "I haven't surrendered to the Julius family; this is just my strategy." As for the contract, it was merely a ploy to lull Suen into a false sense of security. Look, Suen is still being led by me. "Latina Feiyinsong, did you skip a day of school just to conspire with the Julius family?" As the two stepped out of the door and into the school corridor, a discordant voice echoed in their ears.

A young man in a white school uniform stood in the corridor, his back to the sunlight streaming through the rose window, calmly watching the two holding hands.

Latina looked in the direction of the voice with a displeased expression, but when she recognized the person, she nervously stepped back behind Suen. Jacob Blistown, a third-year student in Class S of the academy, was born into the Blistown Duke's family and was one of the few noblemen in the school. He was skilled in fire magic and sword techniques, and like Lattina, he was not a wand user but a magic sword user. He ranked fifth in the academy, just behind Lattina. Knowing this much alone made it easy to understand why Lattina was nervous. She wasn't afraid of losing to him. With her new magic sword, Lattina could probably defeat this young duke in white robes even without activating her angel form. Latina simply felt that the other party was too powerful for her to provoke.

"Jacob Blistun, I advise you not to stir up trouble for no reason."

Su En's gaze was icy; he showed no fear of the other party. After all, he was the prince of the White Tower; even if the royal family came, he could still step on them. The other party wasn't someone from Suen's list of enemies, and they had a family backing them up, so they wouldn't risk a confrontation. Just for that reason, Suen dared to argue with them.

Acting so arrogant, Suen thought they must be one of his enemies.

"Latina, I've given you many chances, but I never thought you'd choose to kowtow to a worthless fool!" Jacob's expression turned angry, as if Su En's support had made him feel humiliated. "What can he give you that I can't? As long as you agree to my demands, what won't you get?" Now Su En understood. He hadn't noticed the emotional dynamics between the two when he was playing the game before. But to confirm the accuracy of his guesses, Su En turned his head and whispered to Lati Na, "What's going on? Is he pursuing you?"

"Ever since the start of the semester, he's been clinging to me, saying he wants me to be his woman." Lati's sense of injustice was overflowing. It seemed the other party's initial actions weren't any better than Su

En's

"I refused, but he kept clinging to me. The problem isn't even that…

"The problem is he has a fiancée! His fiancée found out about this and has been targeting me ever since. I didn't get any benefits out of it, and I still had to be bullied by them. Turns out he's just a sycophant after all. Su En's cold smile was harder to suppress than an AK-47. You're just a sycophant—how dare you challenge me? He gave her a "deserving a beating" expression and feigned indifference, saying:

Jacob, some people might have a misguided sense of self-worth.

"You're just a worthless piece of trash. Latina is far superior to you. Why should she listen to you?" Jacob was so angry he laughed. He drew his magic sword from his waist, trying to intimidate Su En:

"If you won't listen to me, are you going to listen to this worthless trash who can't even use magic?"

Su En shrugged his shoulders, his eyes brimming with contempt:

"You can't beat me."

"Don't think I won't dare! Su En! Don't think you can act however you want just because this is the academy!" Jacob's expression twisted in anger. When he saw Lati Na hiding behind Su En seeking help, he was already furious. Now he was being provoked by this good-for-nothing? How dare he!

Su En remained calm, seemingly not taking Jacob seriously at all. But Jacob's behavior had reached its limit; if he didn't give him a taste of his own medicine, he wouldn't act.

Once he did act, Jacob would definitely use his most confident flame magic to attack him. At that point, Su En could give him a taste of his own medicine.

If the other party drew his sword, that was fine too—he'd summon the Light Angel and cut him down.

This grudge had to be avenged for Latina today; otherwise, how could he win over the people's hearts?

And if he didn't teach Jacob a lesson today, wouldn't his reputation as the Prince of Julius be tarnished?

"Eh?" Latina was startled for a moment, then felt a weak yet firm arm pull her closer. Next, she felt her head being gently cradled, buried in someone's warm embrace, with a strong, reliable hand tightly holding her back.

She was being held by Suen, in a way that declared ownership.

"What are you doing!"

Latina blushed slightly, her sapphire-blue eyes darting away, her breath becoming uneven. There were many people watching, but because of the contract, she couldn't resist Suen and could only protest softly.

Jacob clenched his fists in that moment. He admitted it—he was enraged by Su En.

He was certain the other party had done it on purpose, exploiting a man's jealousy. Though he had been well-mannered since childhood, his rationality told him he couldn't act now. But as a man's dignity, as the divine messenger of the Fourth Day "End," he couldn't bear it.

Su En was well aware that Jacob would inevitably act this time. Among the powers wielded by the Fourth Divine Being, "The End," there were various domains such as "Conflict," "War," and "Division." The divine messengers under His command often shared one characteristic—either they were emotionally stable or emotionally unstable.

Combativeness was their common trait.

Jacob drew his magical sword, chanted incantations, and swiftly sketched out magic in the air.

"Fourth Day of the End, Flames of Wrath, Burn Eternally, Power of Hellfire, Incinerate the Unequal Lands, I Invoke You to the Underworld with the Oath of Divine Revelation!" The composite magical array was sketched out in the air, and in an instant, flames representing "war" erupted. The flames condensed into the color of hell and spread along the corridor. The other students in the corridor had already anticipated this situation and scattered in all directions. "It's over! Julius is going to be in trouble now!"

"Hey, this is great. This wicked creature is finally going to die.

"That commoner isn't any better. Just because he has good grades, he thinks he's something special? Now he's starting to cozy up to the nobles. How ridiculous!" The crowd murmured, all waiting to see the spectacle.

Suen sighed. In the eyes of the crowd, he slowly raised one hand, and a faint magic spread from his palm. "Light Angel, Shine Brightly!"

In the next instant, a blinding light filled the entire corridor, even outshining the light streaming through the rose windows, which seemed to fade in comparison.

Most of the students let out cries of pain, as the sudden brightness had temporarily blinded them.

"Ah!!!!!"

Immediately afterward, a piercing scream echoed through the air. The students of the academy felt a sense of satisfaction—the arrogant Suen, who had blinded everyone with his magic, had finally been brought to justice.

What a satisfying outcome!

When the light faded and everyone regained their vision, they began searching for Yuris's figure, eager to see Suen's humiliating state.

But all they saw was Jacob's half-unconscious form.

"Hey? Jacob, why are you lying on the ground?"

A young girl approached curiously from a distance, looking at the charred Jacob lying on the ground and asking with concern.

"Did your magic go out of control? How did you end up like this?"

She didn't know what had just happened; she was simply fulfilling her duty as an S-class student by showing genuine concern.

"Save me..."

A weak voice came from Jacob's mouth.
