Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

The two hidden weapons were black kunai.

Looking not far away, a young man stood calmly, facing the pirates.

It was Raion.

When Wei Erdan saw Raion, her beautiful eyes flickered. Her despairing heart sparked with a faint glimmer of hope, but at the same time, it was filled with doubt.

Can he really defeat Anderson?

Farmer, however, cried out with relief when he saw Raion. "That damned kid finally came! We all thought you ran away…"

Raion hadn't known Anderson would arrive that day. After heading to the back mountain, he had walked across the water to the sea to practice new ninjutsu. This was why Wei Erdan couldn't find him earlier.

Now, Raion shouted, "Pirates, listen carefully! If you don't want to die, get back to your own side and stop bothering the villagers! Andrin was killed by me. If you want revenge, I'm right here waiting for you!"

Who would listen to a mere boy? The pirates ignored him and continued fighting the villagers.

Seeing no one taking his warning seriously, Raion pulled out a handful of kunai and hurled them toward the pirates. Each one landed with deadly precision, striking his targets.

Only then did the "Wolf Pirate Group" stop and focus on the young man, the atmosphere suddenly tense as both sides separated and faced off again.

Fortunately, the battle hadn't lasted long before Raion appeared, and Anderson hadn't joined the general fight apart from clashing with Miller. As a result, the villagers' casualties weren't yet severe.

Raion's arrival was perfectly timed.

But some villagers still questioned what difference his presence would make.

To them, Raion was just a boy who knew a few "tricks." He wasn't someone who could stand against the terrifying Anderson.

Scratching the back of his head a little awkwardly, Raion said, "Mr. Farmer, sorry I'm late."

Farmer gave him a firm nod and a smile. He still trusted Raion completely.

Wei Erdan stared at Raion, her father's words echoing in her mind: If you can defeat Anderson, I'll let you marry Wei Erdan.

The thought made her shake her head furiously. What am I thinking at a time like this?! I'll never marry this idiot, no matter what! Besides, can he really beat Anderson? What a joke.

While Wei Erdan was lost in thought, Anderson spoke up. "Hey, are you the brat who killed my brother?"

Raion crossed his arms. "That's right."

Anderson's face darkened with murderous intent. "You ruined my plans and killed my brother. When I get my hands on you, I'll make sure you die screaming!"

Raion smiled faintly. "We'll see if you even have the ability."

"Arrogant little brat!"

Anderson turned to Miller. "You. Take him down!"

Miller stood trembling, too ashamed to face the villagers. Their glares were filled with hatred.

To them, a traitor was worse than the enemy.

Miller hesitated, but finally stepped forward. Raion looked at him with a mocking smile. "Mr. Miller, why did you join the 'Wolf Pirate Group'?"

Enraged by the taunt, Miller snapped, "Don't get cocky, boy! I don't need Master Anderson to deal with you. I'll tear you to pieces myself!"

It seemed he truly believed he was now one of the pirates.

Miller attacked.

But Raion didn't dodge. Instead, he met Miller head-on with a single, forceful punch. The blow barely fazed Raion, and before Miller could recover, Raion drew a sharp white arc in the air…

"White Blade!"

The strike carved a deep bloody gash across Miller's chest. Miller collapsed instantly, completely losing the ability to fight.

"What a useless piece of trash," Anderson said coldly, his gaze filled with contempt.

At that moment, little Jenny appeared out of nowhere and shouted, "Brother Raion! You must defeat Anderson! If… if you defeat him, my father will… my dad will let me…"

"Okay, okay, I get it!" Raion quickly interrupted her before she could finish. He knew exactly what she was about to say, and if she continued, he'd die of embarrassment.

Even now, most villagers still didn't believe Raion could defeat someone as monstrous as Anderson.

Still, the battle had reached its peak. Everyone's eyes were locked on the two fighters.

Anderson's hands transformed into jackal claws, their razor-sharp nails gleaming as he slashed at Raion.

But Raion didn't even try to dodge. Raising his right arm, he blocked the blow. The claws, sharp as razors, couldn't penetrate even half a millimeter of his skin.

It was then people noticed that Raion had condensed chakra over his right arm, forming a shimmering armor-like layer.

Raion then extended his left hand, and a glowing blue sphere began to form.

It was a chakra sphere—calm on the surface like a still pond, but spinning with immense, destructive force.

Raion smirked, then slammed the sphere forward.

"Rasengan!"

Anderson's instincts screamed danger. He leapt back just in time, but the Rasengan hit the ground with a deafening boom, creating a crater nearly three meters wide. Even with his quick escape, Anderson's right arm was grazed by the shockwave, leaving it bloody.

"Damn… you little…"

Both pirates and villagers gasped in shock.

The villagers, especially, began looking at Raion differently.

Wei Erdan's hands clenched tightly, and she bit her lower lip, unable to take her eyes off him. She wasn't even sure what she was feeling…

Anderson, realizing this "kid" was no ordinary fighter, roared. His half-beast form shifted into a full jackal.

The sight was terrifying—his animal form radiated raw power.

For those unfamiliar, the Zoan-type Devil Fruits drastically enhance physical strength, endurance, and vitality. Anderson's full-beast transformation was undoubtedly the strongest form of his Jackal Zoan fruit.

The villagers stared, wide-eyed, having never seen Anderson transform so completely.

"Boy," Anderson snarled, his jackal muzzle twisting into a grin, "very few people have ever forced me to show this form. I underestimated you."

Raion's eyes narrowed. Now it's time to show the results of my training, he thought.

For days, Raion had done nothing but eat, sleep, and train.

In fact, he had mastered the Rasengan a week ago. Since then, he had been working on a technique even more powerful.

Now, Raion extended his right hand. A new chakra sphere began to form—larger than before, spinning with incredible speed and intensity…
