John's truck was chasing the old man and Ethan was drumming on the ceiling of the truck, they were singing but then it became boring quickly.
So Ethan sat on the ceiling almost blocking John's view of the car, causing the truck to swerve into the trees, but Ethan slowed time, then caught it before it caused a fire in the surrounding forest.
Back in normal time, the old man's car began sputtering before slowing down and stopping, Ethan appeared next to the car and took out a small notebook and wrote something.
Ethan: "sir, I may have to take you in for speeding, here is the ticket."
Ethan ripped off the paper before placing it on the cars window and lifting it and then looking at John who got off the truck then shook his head to gain balance once more.
John: "Please warn me next time, dude."
Ethan: "Nope!"
Ethan then charged his leg by lowering it then… A small wait before he… Pushed himself forward with his legs.
Ethan was running at incredible speeds, luckily John was able to barely keep up, but he stopped since he couldn't breath.
But then he returned with a knight armor helmet, flying beside Ethan. The old man was holding on for dear life, clutching the seat belts and the handles next to him, as Ethan zoomed on the dirt path in the middle of the forest.
A sign was found that read "END OF ROAD", behind it was a view of a forest and a small town in the distance.
John: "Hey, dude? Maybe slow down?"
Ethan: "Nah!"
Ethan raced towards the edge without hesitation then jumped off, the old man finally screaming as Ethan and the car fell down.
Ethan caught himself by creating a barrier under himself and running once again.
John flew beside Ethan once again, Ethan looked down at the trees as he ran past them… Over them is more accurate actually.
Once they reached the small town, they lowered the car down at the local police station.
the cops ran out to see the car that appeared, and saw an old man practically foaming in the mouth and a note on the window.
Note: "Caught by your friendly neighborhood S̶p̶i̶d̶e̶r̶ electric slayer. For context, he is a murderer that lived in the middle of the forest, have fun with him!"
Ethan watched from a nearby roof, he looked at John as he flew down onto that same roof.
John: "Can we go? Well miss that 'meeting' or whatever it's called."
Ethan: "Yeah yeah, let's go."
Ethan took out his phone and checked the GPS and saw that the road continues past this town.
Ethan followed the path with his superspeed and John flew closely, he was barely catching up with Ethan(again).
The rest of the trip was just them running and flying towards the city… that was it, no more events.
Once in the main island, they went through detours, going onto the statue of liberty and even Brooklyn bridge(yes, Ethan is fast enough to visit both of those in one one hour.)
But then they reached the location, which was… a metro? But the stairs had tape saying "UNDER CONSTRUCTION".
Ethan: "Weird."
John: "Yeah."
Ethan: "You know what, Imma go invisible just in case, you know… I'm kinda wanted by the police."
John nodded as Ethan turned invisible, he descended the dark stairs before reaching the last step, he walked past things from the metal detectors to the escalators that take people to the metro.
Ethan: "Dim… hate it, gonna power it up."
Ethan took a loose cable on the ground and followed it before making electricity flow through it, suddenly, everything lit up, and there it was…
People lying all over the floor, probably heroes, in the middle was a woman, she looked… "gorgeous" as some women would say(ugly).
Woman: "Look at that, new prey~!"
John: "Sorry, not interested."
John created a fireball and threw it at the woman, the woman yawned and slapped it away.
Woman: "Come on, little cutie, don't be like that~."
Ethan can feel his chest tighten… he has a bad feeling about her, so Ethan took a deep breath and sang.
Ethan: "Overchaaaaaaaarge~!"
Suddenly every light began exploding, he was overloading the grid, the countless ads on the walls shattering and sending glass towards the woman.
Ethan created a barrier around the bodies and John just for safe measure.
Woman: "WHAT THE-?!"
With the last light gone, Ethan snuck around her, making some noise every now and then to distract her.
Woman: "come out, coward~!"
This woman is trying to hard to lure him in… but Ethan turned visible, the lights from the suit giving away his position.
Ethan: "You want me? Then THINK FAST!"
Ethan's eye flashed, but when she turned towards it, it was too late, a bat appeared in Ethan's hands and he swung it at her stomach.
Ethan: "Bullseye! No, wrong sport… ah right! HOME RUN!"
the woman clutched her stomach as she kneeled, sneering.
Woman: "You think that this will be enough to take me? A goddess?! I'm Absorber! I will absorb your powers and i will be unstoppable!"
Ethan: "Goddess? Do you even know the future? I know a woman who knows every possibility and every future there is. You are NOT a goddess."
The woman gasped before charging at Ethan and turning her hand into a Grey claw and slashing him, Ethan being the ragebaiter he is, dodged it and then blew a raspberry.
Ethan jumped upwards then landed behind her, she tried to slash him again but he slid to the side.
Ethan: "Little quiz, hehe, try to find me now!"
Ethan's suits glow/lights turned off, making him invisible again, Absorber slashed around, turning her other hand into a claw before clawing around.
John lit a flame in his hand slightly lighting up the place, giving away his location and Ethan's.
Ethan: "Are you kidding me?"
John: "Oh… sorry."
Ethan sighed before glowing and lighting up once again, trying another plan.
Ethan: "Yeah got nothing."
Absorber tried to slash him once again but he caught her hand and pulled her and made her turn and he put his arm around her neck.
She resisted and tried scratch Ethan's head but there was no scratch on his helmet.
Ethan: "Game over."
Absorber: "No it's not!"
Ethan felt himself getting more exhausted which was very rare, so he let go and kicked her away.
Ethan: "So that's your power?"
Absorber: "What else sweetie~?"
Absorber held out her hand, and then, lightning shot out of them, Ethan didn't flinch, because it didn't hurt… At all.
Ethan: "Idiot, electricity plus electricity equals more electricity. That's literally something basic!"
Absorber: "I wasn't planning to hurt you, but to distract you."
Ethan caught a saw blade that flew towards him, he had heard it swoosh midair and caught it in super speed so that it wouldn't saw through his hand.
Ethan: "look, enough stakes, okay?"
Ethan created a bat once again before suddenly appearing infront of her and hitting her on the top of her head with the bat.
Ethan: "Got to horny jail, creep!"
The hit was hard but not hard enough to actually damage her head, but to knock her out.
Suddenly, Ethan felt normal again, energized, and he looked at the people that were lying on the ground as they groaned and got up.
Noticeably, one of them, a girl, had cat ears, so he got curious but kept it to himself.
John: "Wakey wakey."
They all looked around then at the unconscious Absorber, then Ethan who was in his suit, it was ominous to them, but they calmed down when he took off his helmet.
John: "Ooh, a cat girl!"
Girl: "No, I'm a normal girl, I just have the powers to transform all parts of my body to a giant cat."
Ethan: "You can literally become an internet kitten, haha, joke by the way, if you can't take jokes."
Girl: "Don't worry, I can."
John: "So this turned out to be a fluke, can we go home?"
Ethan: "fine"
