Chapter 9 - Courtship

"What's wrong with your hand?" asked Mario, grabbing Reana's palm and seeing several band-aids.

Reana withdrew her hand and shook her head. "It's okay."

"Don't lie," said Mario.

"I'm fine, I just fell."

"Fall?" Mario tied his eyebrows and tried to find the answer in Reana's eyes.

Soon, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in!"

"Sir, Madam, dinner is ready," Zia said, bowing to her employer.

"Yes," said Mario.

Zia then stepped out of the room and smiled. Zia felt happy to see her employer's closeness because her position as an assistant would be higher than other assistants if her employer were close to the ruler. Zia and the other assistants were also racing.

"Let's have dinner," Mario invited.

Reana nodded and got up from her seat, and went to the dining room together.

Mario pulled Reana, making Reana squeal in disbelief when Mario kissed her lips.

Mario smiled and stroked the back of her neck. He couldn't contain his desire if he sat close to Reana, even though he ignored his other wife.

"What are you doing?" asked Reana, touching her lips.

Mario then kissed Reana again, and this time the kiss turned wild. Reana couldn't resist and just enjoyed it. Mario always did whatever he wanted, and as the owner, he couldn't resist.

A soft sound from Reana's stomach was heard, making Mario stop his kiss.

"Alright. Let's have dinner first," Mario grasped his wife's palm and led her away with him to the dining room. "If something's bothering you, tell me."

"Nothing."

"Okay. But if there is, tell me."

Reana nodded her head.

This house was quite spacious. Even going to the dining room, they had to take the elevator and go downstairs.

In the elevator, Mario again kissed Reana's cheek. Reana just let him because she knew her husband's attitude.

"Why are you so sweet?" asked Mario.

"It's probably from there."

"Where?"

"From birth."

"Oh," chuckled Mario. "I want to pounce on you all the time. You're so tiny."

Reana looked away and laughed at Mario's words just now. Mario was like a man in love when he said that, even his dashing body could also say something that was not what was seen.

Arriving in the dining room, everyone stood up, and again, the other wives looked annoyed at Reana when they saw Reana coming with Mario, as if they had been together all along.

"Sit down," Mario said.

Reana sat down on one of the empty couches, where Zia was already standing next to her.

They then ate dinner, silently, making Reana sigh softly.

"Do you guys eat dinner silently?" asked Reana, looking at everyone in turn.

"Mrs. Rea, be quiet," Zia whispered.

"What the hell, Zia, you are."

Zia couldn't stop her mistress. "Sorry, ma'am."

"Have dinner casually. Why do you look so tense? You even look like you're scared," Reana shook her head.

"Shut up," Maria whispered, turning to look at Reana.

"I said the right thing, so what?"

"Shut up. This is not your domain," Maria whispered again.

"That's all right. What Reana said is true. We're supposed to have a leisurely dinner," Mario continued, making everyone turn to look at him, because this was the first time they had heard Mario say that, usually only saying a word or two and then shutting up again.

"Then what should we say?" asked Sienna, looking at Mario.

"Did any of you hurt Reana today?" asked Mario, looking at his three wives.

Sienna looked annoyed at Reana, while Reana continued to code Mario not to say something that would make everyone even more angry and take it out on him, not afraid, but Reana just wanted to be safe.

"Answer me honestly!" pressed Mario.

Everyone chose to remain silent because they couldn't lie and say no.

"Okay. If no one wants to confess, I'll tell Hans to check the CCTV." Mario threatened.

"They did it," Sienna said, pointing at Maria and Chloe.

Sienna seemed to want to wash her hands, making Reana upset to hear it, because Sienna wanted to run away from responsibility and blame Maria and Chloe, while it was Sienna who provoked them.

"So? Is that right?" asked Mario.

Maria and Chloe nodded resignedly; they couldn't fight Sienna's words because Sienna was the ruler of this house.

"Now you apologize." Mario continued.

"No need," Reana shook her head.

"Apologize!" snapped Mario.

"We're sorry, Reana," Chloe said.

"Me too," Maria replied.

"You don't have to apologize."

"Already?"

Maria and Chloe nodded.

"That's it. Continue your meal." Mario looked at Reana, who was currently looking at him, annoyed. Mario knew that Reana didn't want it to be like that. But Mario had to discipline them all so that no one would hurt each other.

Mario chuckled in between meals, making everyone turn their heads to look at him. Mario had been staring at Reana, who was always sticking out her tongue in front of him, as if it was the cutest thing he had ever encountered so far. Reana was tiny and adorable.

"What's wrong, Mario?" asked Sienna.

"Nothing," replied Mario, shaking his head.

They linked eyebrows and turned to look at Reana, who was pretending to eat and not focusing on any of them. Then what was it that made Mario laugh? Previously, Mario looked cold, but tonight it was like someone who was in love.

Reana sighed softly and said, "I'll go to my room first. Thanks for dinner."

"Reana, what are you doing?" Sienna asked.

"What's wrong?"

"Mario is still here, are you leaving already? It's not a dinner hour rule," Sienna continued.

"Leave it alone. Maybe Reana needs a break," Mario said.

"But-"

"Never mind. Let's not keep talking about the house rules."

Sienna nodded.

Mario then gave Reana the code to continue if she wanted to rest in her room. Reana then left with Zia.

Mario continued his dinner with his three wives without Reana.

"Where are you sleeping tonight, Mario?" Sienna asked.

"In my room," replied Mario. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Sienna shook her head.

"I told you all, don't expect anything from me. You can hold the status of Mrs. Mario, but not the attention."

The three of them nodded their heads.
