Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Be Born

Chapter 2: Be born

"It's okay; I'm not mad or anything," Cyan said, fully aware that anger would serve no purpose. He continued, "But I'd like an explanation, even if it's just a vague one."

"Oh, my, aren't we sharp?" the goddess chuckled. "You are right; I'm restricted in how much I can tell you."

"To summarize what happened, the Goddess of Life created your astral soul. Around the same time, her palace was attacked by forces I cannot name. After that, you went missing. Fortunately, the Goddess of Life, Eviosa—or Eva, as many call her—had already given you a name, which allowed her to know you were alive when she discovered you were missing. However, it took her a billion years to find you because she was busy with other matters. By the time she returned to the place where she left you, a billion years had already passed."

"We tried searching for you, but to no avail. Recently, your astral energy grew stronger, and we were able to locate you, which leads us to where we are now," Inofieus, the Goddess of Creation, explained, waving her hand and looking at Cyan as if waiting for him to speak.

"A plausible explanation," Cyan nodded. "Can you tell me why my body looks a lot like yours?"

"That would be because I wanted to make your body the best. And who's a better reference model than myself, Inofieus, the Goddess of Creation?"

'Ah!, a narcissistic goddess, I see—just like I heard.'

"Fine... but what's going to happen to me now?" Cyan shrugged while sitting on a chair made of clouds.

"You'll enter your real body. I mean, the body you have now is your real body, but it's divine. The body I'm referring to is your mortal body, though it will look similar to what you have right now."

"Great. Anything more I should know?"

"A few things, actually. First, the world has many things, but it would be what you'd call a medieval world. It has magic, and the gods have some authority that you'll come to understand. The body you'll be entering is that of a four-year-old child."

"Why a kid?"

"Originally, you could have been born at any age, but since Aroala, the Goddess of Time, allowed it, you can enter the body you were meant to inhabit. However, even with our divine influence, we cannot bend the rules of the world too much. As a result, we could only send you back in the body of a four-year-old."

"What will happen to the boy whose body I'm entering?"

"Make no mistake—it's your body. Though it was born, it did not have a soul and never woke up—much like being in a coma since birth. Many suggested that you be allowed to rest; some even claimed you were cursed, but your parents insisted that you would wake up one day."

"I'm thankful to you, Goddess of Creation, Goddess of Time, and Goddess of Life, for this chance," Cyan said, bowing, truly grateful that he would finally live.

"But what is my purpose?"

"You... we don't intend to give you one. You can live as you wish..."

"Thank you." Cyan's body began to glow.

"Seems it's time. Before I forget, the Goddess of Mischief, the Goddess of Life, the Goddess of Technology, the Goddess of Love, the Demon of Lust, and some others have prepared a gift for you, along with some items that will come in handy. Be sure to check them. If you wish to talk to any of us, you only need to visit our shrine. If we are free at the moment, you'll be able to meet us."

"Thank you." Cyan slowly began to disperse.

"Have fun..." the Goddess of Creation mumbled as she watched Cyan's disappearance.

...

A few moments later, in the Space of Creation, another figure appeared.

"Is he gone?" a woman emerged whose beauty rivaled that of the Goddess of Creation.

"Yes, Inofieus, he is gone," the Goddess of Creation let out a dry sigh. Many might not know, but the Goddess of Life was shy.

"You could have met him, you know. Even if it's been a while, he is still our son."

"I'll meet him one day, and you know it as well. You were the only one who was allowed to meet him this time."

"Yes. If only we had more freedom, I'd love to tell him the whole story and introduce him to his mothers."

Aroala, the Goddess of Time, emerged as she spoke. "I have a feeling we will have the chance in the future."
