The human race was forged by three great Falls: The First, which brought Senar, the unit of power that created both the Empowered of the Living and the Zombiekind; the Second, which unified humanity under the World Will after the catastrophic Immortal War; and the Third, which pushed mankind into the interstellar age.

Now, years later.

Saquin, a hybrid between human and Zombiekind, was living his gentle, uneventful life as a high value commodity on a slave spaceship. That was till his life took a sudden turn just as his sixteen birthday approached. Too bad life did not give him enough time to adjust to his new life as he was selected as an Empowered candidate in succession.  

Now, Saquin with no noteworthy knowledge of the Empowered world is to participate in an Empowered Trial, which was not simple as it seems.

The good news, is that he seems to be favored by both heaven, with his Divine-level talent, and the system entities including the World Will.

Little did he know that such favors came at a price, a subtle but heavy one, especially for an hybrid abomination like him.

It has been about thirty minutes since the announcement.


Through the short frame of time, Saquin has watched in fascination as the whole facility went from pure disbelief to panic as they could not deny the reality that stood before them.


Empowered individuals are truly different from normal humans. They are highly composed and are almost certainly with a working brain in their heads.


This is not just due to the fact that everyone of them had gone through the Trial and passed. But also due to their immediate environment.


They lived in a world of hierarchy, both through position and strength. Each day, they have to dance in this dangerous world where just breathing in the wrong presence could cost you your life.
