I stay inside that cursed dungeon for five whole days, hunting every monster I see, absorbing their skills and power one by one. I don't sleep much, I don't even eat too much, my body start changing. I can feel my muscles growing tighter, my reflex become faster, and my eyes could now see in the dark like a beast. I don't understand what it mean. But now I start to accept it. Maybe I'm not just a boy anymore. Maybe I'm becoming something else. I fight a lava snake with poison skin and when I kill it, I get a new skill called "Heat Resistance." I destroy a dungeon mini-boss that was guarding some dark altar, and I absorb "Demon Sight" from it. Every monster I kill makes me stronger. When I touch it, I feel a flash in my mind. I see a battlefield, giant gods fighting each other, and one of them look like me. Or maybe I look like him. It feel like power and hunger. I walk out of that room with new strength and one goal—to go back to the surface, to the city, and show them what I really am. But I couldn't just walk out as me. If they see Coker the trash, they'll laugh. So I make a plan. I tear some beast skin and craft myself a dark cloak. I use "Shadow Step" skill I stole to move without sound. When I return to the city, I don't go to my house. I don't even go to the East Flame area. I go straight to the Hero Guild building, where all the top rankers and famous names train and work. There's a open test happening that day, where anyone can walk in and try to qualify as adventurer. Perfect. I step into the line wearing my hood low. People around laugh. "Who's this wannabe?" "Another weakling trying to act cool." I say nothing. Let them laugh. My time coming. When it's my turn to test, the examiner yawn and wave his hand. "Place your hand on the orb. The guild that betray me. The one that send me into that dungeon to die. The East Flame Guild. I go there at night. Their hall is full of drunk rankers, laughing and singing. I walk in silent. When the guard stop me and laugh, "You lost, beggar?" I put my hand on his face and absorb his skill before he can even scream. He fall down shaking. Someone shout and attack me but I use "Dark Leap" and land behind them, knock them cold. Within seconds, the whole guild is in chaos. I destroy their gate, burn their banners, and leave a mark on the wall. A glowing symbol of six wings and a broken crown—the same god I saw in the dungeon. Let them fear it. Let them fear me. I disappear into the night again. Now the city is boiling with news. The top rankers start searching. One of them, a A-Rank girl with fire magic, try to trap me in alley, thinking she can catch me and become famous. She use flame net skill but I walk through it like smoke. She scream, "What are you?!" I look her in the eye and say for the first time out loud, "I'm not your concern." Then I vanish. My name not even known but already the world shake. I return to the cave outside town where I now live. Quiet. I sit alone and train. The system voice speak to me again.
