Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: The Strongest in Modern Times vs. the Strongest in History!

"You said you were all fine down there, but I didn't dare use any powerful moves for fear of accidentally hurting my own people. And yet you—of all people—ran straight into the open sky? Are you trying to die!?"

From above, the palm hovered ominously. Space trembled violently. A massive wave of cursed energy surged into the void. Purple light spread across the sky, dyeing the clear blue into a translucent, golden-violet hue. Even the fluffy white clouds caught fire with flickering violet flames.

A monstrous aura filled the air.

A colossal dragon's form materialized in the heavens, stretching endlessly across the sky. The moment it appeared, it locked onto Lu Ziyun and the others. The pressure was suffocating, rendering them immobile. Its ten enormous dragon eyes glowed with power—as if they contained the entire world.

I'm going to die!

That was the shared thought in Karusu Hengzi's heart, Lu Ziyun's, and every Jujutsu sorcerer still fighting below. The technique above them was catastrophic. If it struck, even indirectly, none of them would survive.

Yet James stood calmly with the Five Swirling Dragons of Destruction condensed in his hand. He didn't strike immediately. Instead, he was calmly calculating its destructive potential.

Across from him, Lu Ziyun forced his trembling hand into a seal.

"If not now, then when… Come forth! A spell that can only be used once in a lifetime—Mythical Beast Amber!"

His entire body sparked with flickering electricity. Thin currents crackled along his skin, surging through his limbs. The voltage flowed into his cells, repeatedly destroying and regenerating them. Flesh tore and healed with each pulse. The transformation was brutal.

Veins bulged grotesquely. His mouth stretched into a bizarre trumpet shape.

"Phantom Beast Amber" was a forbidden Jujutsu, one that could only be cast once in a lifetime. It transformed the caster's body into that of a mythical beast. Along with incredible speed and power, it granted the ability to fire devastating electromagnetic waves.

As James finished gauging the strength of his technique, he began pressing down his palm slowly. A wave of death surged in the hearts of those watching.

Above them, the Gojo True Dragon's pupils glowed, and the space around its intended targets quaked uncontrollably. The overwhelming force distorted vision itself. One ancient Jujutsu master attempted to flee—but the moment he did, he was reduced to shimmering fragments in the air.

The dragon descended.

Its enormous head bore down on the fighters like a divine judgment.

Wu Lu Hengzi stopped struggling. He closed his eyes and accepted his fate. Maybe I should have died long ago anyway...

But Lu Ziyun wasn't finished yet.

Opening his trumpet-shaped mouth, he poured all the cursed energy within his body into one final attack—an electromagnetic wave at maximum intensity!

If I'm going to die here, at least let me shine one last time. Let him see it—see the brilliance of everything I am.

A wild burst of power exploded from Lu Ziyun's mouth. It wasn't just energy—it was a shockwave so intense that it shattered high-altitude water vapor across hundreds of meters.

The invisible blast struck the dragon head-on!

A booming roar echoed across the sky. The energy wave pushed downward, its sheer force blowing away weak Cursed Spirits and shaking the atmosphere. Those below looked up in awe and horror. The gigantic True Dragon that had once dominated the sky was gone. Only flickers of purple remained suspended in the air.

Also gone… were the ancient Jujutsu masters.

As the Five Swirling Dragons of Destruction faded into nothingness, Lu Ziyun and his comrades crumbled into powder and drifted away in the wind.

> "I'm sorry I didn't get to enjoy the fight more…"

> "It's alright," James murmured softly, "Your courage is commendable. But this era does not belong to you. Return now… to where you truly belong."

He lowered his head, his gaze turning toward the far west.

There, the true battle of the strongest was still raging.

---

Fists flew, each swing carrying the weight of magic.

Sukuna and Gojo Satoru were locked in vicious melee and sorcery combat. Sukuna, with his four arms, had the clear upper hand in close combat. His strikes were relentless. But Gojo Satoru, the Six Eyes sorcerer with unlimited cursed energy, was a menace of his own.

If Sukuna landed a blow, it hurt. But if Gojo was hit—he didn't even bother to dodge.

Soon, deep cuts appeared on Sukuna's body, though they rapidly healed using the Reverse Cursed Technique.

> "No matter the era," Sukuna growled through clenched teeth, "Six Eyes Warlocks are always the most damn annoying."

Gojo remained calm, silent. Neither had yet landed a decisive blow.

The only true victims of the fight were the surrounding forests, shredded mercilessly by their stray attacks—something Hanami would have definitely protested.

Gojo pointed a finger. His cursed technique swelled, ready to be released.

Sukuna, ever alert, twitched a fingertip. A devastating slash erupted from it, colliding with Gojo's explosion of cursed energy. The resulting shockwave flattened half the forest, sending shredded leaves and broken branches spiraling into the air like a green rainstorm.

From behind, Yuji Itadori's cursed clone—Yi Cang—teleported and launched a He technique. But Sukuna was already ahead of him. He tilted his head, dodging just as the attack sliced past and triggered another massive blast in the distance.

Then, forming seals with both arms, Sukuna unleashed a barrage of slashes, carving trenches into the earth as he pushed Gojo back.

> Should I dodge this?

Gojo ignored the slashes entirely.

He took advantage of Sukuna's turned back. The red and blue energy in each of his hands swirled—Cursed Technique: Hollow Shiki!

He combined the two polar energies into a chaotic orb of pure destruction and hurled it toward Sukuna's spine. A massive canyon opened in the wake of the orb's trajectory.

> "Maximum Output!"

The cursed spirits watching from afar shuddered in fear. The surge of power gave the surrounding Jujutsu sorcerers an opening to eliminate them.

Zhi, who had crossed much of the battlefield, joined the assault.

But Sukuna simply laughed. In a swift maneuver, he twisted in midair, abandoning both of his left arms to narrowly dodge the blast. The impact behind him created a crater large enough to bury a temple. Trees were flattened for hundreds of meters.

When the dust settled, Sukuna was nowhere in sight.

Gojo's Six Eyes scanned rapidly and locked onto a location—behind a giant boulder, Sukuna was already healing.

His arms were regenerating with the help of Reverse Cursed Technique.

> "Cang!"

Gojo seized the moment and teleported beside Sukuna. But Sukuna was ready. With a sneer, he formed hand seals with his remaining arms. Cursed energy exploded outward.

> "Domain Expansion—Demon Subduing Chef!"

Behind him, a massive demonic statue rose from the earth, crowned by a crimson shrine. The domain didn't seal Gojo inside but instead spread openly in all directions.

Instantly, countless deadly slashes surged toward Gojo from every angle.

Gojo's Six Eyes narrowed.

He quickly formed a seal with his right hand. The space around him warped violently, folding in on itself.

> "Domain Expansion—Infinite Void!"

A vast spiritual plane unfolded around Gojo Satoru, nullifying the guaranteed-hit effects of Sukuna's attacks. The slashes dissolved before touching him.

Eight, Sukuna's deadly technique, relied on physically touching his target—but within the Infinite Void, it became impossible. The open domain clashed with the boundless closed domain, creating a violent storm between them.

Cursed Spirits and sorcerers in the vicinity panicked and fled. The weaker ones were torn apart in an instant by the invisible pressure. The rest could only watch helplessly from a distance.

> These two are insane. Stay away!

Domain confrontations were less about type—open or closed—and more about the user's mastery and strength.

An open domain wasn't automatically stronger than a closed one..

But Sukuna was no ordinary opponent. He had deliberately chosen to open his domain, shrinking its range to concentrate its power. He knew Gojo would use Infinite Void—and he prepared to counter it directly.

His goal: to tear through the Infinite Void and collapse Gojo's domain.

> "Let's see whose domain shatters first, Gojo Satoru!"
