Upon entering the manor, praises could be heard, of astonish perhaps. Riley silenced those acknowledgements with utter disgust. Eiser gave a sharp side eye to Riley upon being harsh on the members, as he had noticed the change in his expressions after entering the residential area.
"Perhaps he has something against the rich" he thought.
Yet he didn't give it much weight.
The door to the main hall was closed. There was a wooden chair just beside the door and on that chair Arkas was snoring, perhaps he also waiting for them to return. Eiser and his pack smiled upon watching him sleep. But hearing the sound of footsteps he suddenly woke up with frightful expressions, yet upon seeing Eiser, Ana and Sandy stand infront of him, he got shy for some reason.
"You guys are late yknow? And i wasn't waiting for you guys! I just like to sleep on a chair!"
Arkas tried to explain himself. To which Eiser grinned and said
"Ohhhhh? We never said you were waiting! Maybe you were...."
"Not! I was not waiting for you guys! Now get inside if you've arrived!"
Arkas stood up and opened the door whilst stomping the ground.
Riley and his gang watched all of this with bland faces, devoid of any facial expressions.
Nevertheless, Eiser and hispack moved inside and Riley followed them after ordering his gang to wait in the lobby. After entering into the main hall, infront Riley saw Wandera hugging both Sandy and Ana at the same time while rubbing her face with the faces of the two, he thought it was wierd. He glanced almost to every part of the house — to thw white tiles that furnished the floor, to the intricated designs etched on the doors, to the photographs and paintings of that house, to the chandeliers that were lit with golden lights and added more beauty to the interior — from the door, where he stood and all in all it brought him pure rage and anger and fueled his burning memories.
Soon enough, Wandera's gaze fell upon Riley while he was still examining the house, so she walked towards her and hugged her with her usual warmth. It startled Riley so he started to rebel and get free of her comforting hold.
"Wha...wha...what are you doing to me?"
He said as he pushed her away.
Riley geared up and gusts of winds surrounded his fists.
"What do you mean. What? Don't you like to get hugged?"
Wandera said as she was surprised a little.
"Yeah that's right you rich do whatever you want! I've seen enough. Hey, you lightning brat, I am out of here!"
He said as he ran backwards from the middle of his forces and outside the gate on the road.
His gang was also shocked and told him to wait and some members even went after him but he refused all help and told them to inside while he vanished in the dark all alone. Eiser also followed, but to no good as it seemed like he had become one with the air itself.
So Eiser let out a sigh and came back inside with a pensive look on his face.
"Uhh... Eiser? What now? Where did he go? What are we gonna tell Pa?"
The gang members inquired Eiser.
Eiser had no answer to the questions of the gang members all he could do was relieve them, which he did and went inside.
When he came back inside again, he saw all of them seated in the main hall and Captain Signet had also arrived from his room and had seated with them.
His sharp gaze met the round eyes of Captain Signet, comforting in a way, Both smiled as they made eye contact and Eiser bowed down before him to greet him. Eiser also sat with them, in the middle of Arkas and Ana. He started
"My name is Eiser Alexiaris. I am an electric mage. It may be rude Captain, but my utmost apologies, for our matter is urgent." Captain Signet's eyes sharpened and the soft smile that everyone had on their face disappeared. Meanwhile, he continued, "We have come to take down the Chained Dogs, and we request that you assist us in any way you can. I realise that you directly cannot interfere. So we, therefor, become the bait and you help us finish them off. Is that acceptable?"
The atmosphere was so quite as he finished, one could be deafened by just the noise of the pumping heart. Yet Wandera was calm and smiling. As if to promote those emotions, Signet laughed and his voice could be echoed in the deafening quietuid. The gang members who peaked to see through the door also fell down on top of each other as they all got stunned aswell.
"Thank you so much for that offer, boy! I knew someone will come to our rescue aswell. Yet the way you speak to me, it is almost impossible for me to repay. Please Young man! Save us and i shall do anything that may help you in the slightest."
Captain Signet's tone changed, as he begged. Huge smiles were on the faces of Eiser's pack as he said that and they were also happy for the help that they would get.
"Well... Before that!" Captain Stincer started in a sharp tone, as Eiser and his pack got attentive, "You said you are an Alexiaris are you?" His gaze got intense and it intensified Eiser a bit, as he couldn't picture him talk in such a serious manner, "Well yes, I am. What of it?" He replied, after a breif pause.
"Ohhh..... I get it now! So it must be you he mentioned." Eiser brows frowned as he said that and it seemed like the name Alexiaris made Arkas abit interested in that conversation aswell, as he got in a deep thought upon hearing that name.
Signet cleared his throat and qouthe again,
"I am sure you don't know yet, but you have an older brother."
Eiser's frowned brows couldn't move as he heard that, his mouth was wide open as thousandfold questions popped in his mind.
"I have a Borther? Who is he?"
"Why didn't father tell me about him?"
"Why does Captain Signet know about him?"
But.. Maybe he knows where father is! I have to know more about him!
Giving in to the frail hope that he pondered upon, his face sparkled up with happiness.
"Who is he?" Eiser asked, Excited.
Signet took a deep breath as he said;
"The Commander of all executioners, Einer Alexiaris."
The faltering hope that he held upon shattered all so easily. Yet his heart refused to give up for some reason. For the moment he got to hear that he had a brother, some feeble long captured his heart that he couldn't now get rid off.
"Ahheemm.....". Signet cleared his throat.
"Now now, don't get too carried away. We still have to discuss the problem at hand, The Chained Dogs."
"According to us they have over 300 active members spread across Falu, out of which 12 are high ranking excecutives; 3 were captured in the Cut City in the last week, that I assume must be done by you and 9 are left now which is too much to handle for all of your lot to handle but there is something that can give us some help. So our plan will be that i go to bring that help to us while you guys head towards the Diocese."
Arkas grinned as Signet finished, and got up to leave immediately.
"Let's go guys! Why the Wait?"
He said with a look so menacing, it was almost terrifying. Lolopechika also got up as Arkas did, and the two went ahead towards the gate to the Bald Theif Gang.
"Heyy wait? Where do you think you're going? We aren't finished yknow!!"
Sandy spoke up in a failed attempt to stop a fired up Arkas.
"So you guys better catch up then!"
He said as he and Lolopechika left and closed the door to the main hall.
Arkas's spirit gave everyone else the boost they required to go down on the hunt. As Eiser also got up wore his robe back on, popped his knuckles and got ready to leave. Ana and Sandy also got up just as Signet stopped them.
"Wait! Eiser, Don't get too hasty! You must know about their leader, The Bishop of the Diocese, Drew Ecolipe".
He said.
"Oh yeah? Well i don't care if he's strong. If I have to do something then I do it!"
The grin on Eiser's face showed that he didn't care about the strength of the enemy.
Sandy backed him, and the three left their hall aswell.
After everyone left it was only Wandera and Signet left behind.
"Hehhh.... These young kids are too quick, I have to catch up!"
"You sure do, Otherwise you'll be called an Old man. Dont you think?"
Wandera said, as Signet wore his hat back on and started to walk off aswell.
